This majestic Florida rental is a ground floor condo that is convenient and easily accessible. The sun filled tile patio opens on to a large plush lawn and faces southeast for maximum sun exposure. Your patio includes two comfortable Adirondack chairs and serving table. The front door opens into a beautifully manicured courtyard just five steps away from the therapeutic and romantic Jacuzzi.
Once inside, you will find everything you need and more for a relaxing, comfortable, and stress free vacation for up to 6 guests. The living room features decorative wood flooring, a new comfortable queen sleeper sofa, entertainment system with 32” TVw/Cable, DVD, CD Changer, and numerous books and magazines. The wet bar comes complete with a blender and electric juicer for creating great refreshments! The dining area features a spacious dining table with comfortable upholstered seating. A well-appointed kitchen with modern appliances, utensils, dishes, glasses, microwave and disposal is perfect for a quick snack or full meal. The master bedroom is a sanctuary in its own with new tropical furniture, large king size bed, 20” TV w/cable, ceiling fan, and private full bathroom. The guest bedroom is isolated from the master bedroom and comes complete with two twin beds, festive décor, ceiling fan, and courtyard view. A second complete bathroom is also available for your family and guests.
This condominium is professionally managed on site by St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Resort. You will have access to everything my vacation resort has to offer! These great amenities include 24-hour/day courtesy officer, main Olympic-size swimming pool with vending machines, restrooms, and heated outdoor shower, a smaller heated swimming pool with sun deck, four tennis and two racquetball courts, outdoor grills, a clubhouse, shuffleboard, fishing ponds, and two private boardwalks to the beach.
The fun just begins at the resort! There is still plenty to see and do. The beach is great for swimming, sunning, building a sandcastle, watching the sunrise, or taking a romantic stroll. Nearby downtown Saint Augustine features family attractions such as the Castillo De San Marcos, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, Potter's Wax Museum, Alligator Farm, Fountain of Youth, 3D World, Lightner Museum, Ghost Tours, Oldest School House, Saint Augustine Lighthouse Museum and tour, Marineland, Parks, San Sebastian Winery, and many others. Why the Owner Chose Ocean Racquet Club
When looking for a place to buy, I looked at many different complexes in the area, but quickly always came back to St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Resort. I know the complex well as I have been visiting it ever since it was built in 1984. As a matter of fact, the unit that I used to visit as a guest of one of my high school friends, is still owned by the same family and is in the same building as my home!
While nostalgia may of played a part in my decision, discussion with friends who have units in the complex, made my decision very easy. The fact that we have had the same management company represent us for the last 14 years or so, says a bunch about the quality of the complex.
The grounds are well kept, things are maintained, and I dare to say the staff is the best in the area. Actually don't take my word for it as St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Resort was voted St. Augustine's Best Condominium Complex 2008 by the St. Augustine Record readers!
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
I feel my home is unique in that it blends a great location with great amenities and true comfort. Being on the ground floor means no stairs to climb (and nothing to carry up them!). It also means that it is very convenient to enjoy the courtyard and hot tub which is literally right outside the door. In addition, it is only about a 3 minute walk to the beach and the pool is just across the parking area. My home also faces southeast. This is important to those who don't know because it remains in the sun during the day. Unfortunately, units facing northeast only have the sun exposure early in the morning.
As far as amenities are concerned, my home is one of only a few that offers wireless high speed internet at no extra charge. Moreover, the furniture is comfortable and the entertainment system is of higher quality than you might expect. I have a Harmon Kardon receiver with DVD player, CD changer, and separate speakers.
All in all, whether sitting in the courtyard or on the patio enjoying a good book or listening to some music, it's really hard to want anything else! I completely enjoying my home and I hope you will too!

Growing up in nearby Gainesville, which is about an hour and a half drive away, I frequently came to St. Augustine with my family and friends.
No matter what other beaches and resorts I visited, I always came back to St. Augustine to take in the best of history, the beaches, and within the past few years, golf. Of course some of the restaurants and shops from the past have gone away, but there are many more than I have enjoyed for many years. One of our favorites is Salt Water Cowboys...or just Cowboys to the locals! It is true Florida at its best!
While the rest of my family is scattered from New York to Tampa, we all find the time to come back to St. Augustine and continue to enjoy the same atmosphere year after year.
I'm currently living overseas but that doesn't stop my from returning to good friends, great beaches, and great family 2-3 times a year.
I hope you will also start a tradition with your family and I'd love to have a chance to help you build many years of memories from one of my favorite places, St. Augustine!
