Lodge at Lake Dillon condo description
This gorgeous top floor lakeside condominium easily accommodates 5-6 guests. There is a queen-size bed situated next to the glass wall (floor to ceiling) overlooking the captivating, serene lake and mountains. You will also enjoy a cozy log burning fireplace, cable, a DVD player, a microwave, and complete kitchen amenities.
Outside there is an outdoor swimming pool and a kiddy pool also overlooking Lake Dillon and the surrounding mountains. The indoor hot tub/sauna can also be a relaxing addition to one’s day.
Nestled on a bluff over Lake Dillon, The Lodge at Lake Dillon has the feel of a private mountain lodge which is meticulously maintained and decorated. For convenience ... just outside the building the covered entryway allows for easy unloading and loading and the elevator makes it wheelchair accessible.
Summer visitors will enjoy sailing, kayaking, and fishing on Lake Dillon in addition to bicycling or hiking on the many paved bike paths and old dirt mining roads that meander through the mountains. Free summer concerts at the local Lake Dillon Amphitheater attract many as do the local farmer’s markets and various special events. For those interested in shopping, the Silverthorne Factory Outlet stores are just two miles away and the art galleries and antique shops are located in Frisco and Breckenridge.
For winter skiers, world-class ski resorts including Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Loveland and Keystone are just 10 to 30 minutes away. For those who love other snow sports, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice skating are also set in the beautiful mountains.
And for those just looking for a weekend get-away, relaxation on a peaceful patio, fun at the Tiki Bar on the marina, or time to sit and watch the bikers and strollers on the Lake Dillon bike path may be just what the doctor ordered!

Three of us shared this roomy condo for an extended vacation-- we absolutely loved the place! Clean and spacious, well stocked with plenty of everything (kitchenware and appliances, pillows, sheets and towels, dvds and books) we were immediately at home once we settled in with our gear! The lodge was quiet and warm, the hot tub is great after a long day and not too busy. The laundry machines are pricey but there's a laundromat 2 minutes away. The bus stop is right outside and comes every 15 minutes (either to town or to keystone mountain) and reaching Frisco/Breckenridge is easy enough (by connecting buses). The Arapahoe Cafe has burgers to die for; and City Market (and adjoining stores/restaurants in the shopping area) is about 15 minutes of leisurely walking. The lakeside shore has a trail and a park. And the view... I cannot hype about it enough. I loved getting up in the mornings, as the sun rises behind Keystone in the distance, and floods the condo with sunlight... and sunsets are equally amazing with brilliant displays of color. Definitely would consider staying here again if we have the chance!

Charming Place to stay
Charming Place to stay
This is a great place. I spent four days to get away, and I am very happy with this place. It was clean and very comfortable. There are great views from the balcony, and it is in the center of Dillon. Lots of great places to eat and hang out. I plan to come back in a couple weeks, and over the ski season.

About the owner: I have always had a zest for the outdoors. I moved from the East Coast to the West Coast for college in order to pursue mountaineering and climbing. My job during my undergrad studies was guiding people up Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens and instructing climbing. It was required to be an EMT to work in this field (thus introducing me to health care) and eventually I focused more on medicine and less on the outdoors and decided to earn a Master's degree in nursing from John's Hopkins. Soon thereafter, I discovered the specialty of tropical medicine (which is my passion) and it was only a matter of time before I started my own clinic, Colorado Travel Health.
Why the Owner Chose Lodge at Lake Dillon:
I chose to buy a vacation rental in Dillon because of its charm and proximity to my favorite ski resorts. Most vacation towns have an ephemeral, but superficial feel to the place. Dillon, on the other hand, is grounded and inhabited by locals. Its views of Lake Dillon and the majestic mountains combined with the dynamics of the town (including the amphitheater, the upscale pubs/restaurants and the more low key pubs/restaurants, the live theatre, the summer festivals and the best breakfast burritos I have every had at Kulu's Cafe) is captivating.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
My unit has exquisite views and a balcony from which to enjoy the setting. One can relax on the balcony and also take advantage of the grill. The bedroom too has a ceiling to floor window exposing the beauty of the lake and the mountains. Just outside(across the street)from the Lodge at Lake Dillon, one can often enjoy street fairs and markets. Or, on the lake side of the condo and almost just below the structure, one can take a boat ride on a water taxi or a sail boat or simply relax at the Tiki Bar.
