Tom and Michelle and their 2 teenagers spent 2 weeks in March/12 to go skiing at Silver Star and came back for 2 weeks at Christmas/New Year's for more skiing. They left a note, saying, "Thanks again. We had such a great time and were so comfortable! See you again in March." They come from Ontario and have wonderful family holidays together. We love having them come - they are great people and we enjoy seeing them on the hill!

We were very pleased with our hosts and had a great stay. The accommodation was on the lower level of the house but maintained a great view as it is located quite high on the mountain with the city lights below. The master bedroom was very spacious and could actually be divided into another room and still be considered large The owner was very helpful in giving us directions and information on the local tourist activities. Best of all there was even a crock pot provided for a warm winter meal when returning from a full day of skiing.

Our stay at this vacation rental exceeded our expectations! The hosts are the most friendly, helpful and considerate people that you can imagine. They were quick and responsive over email for pre-trip planning, and they have a clear and comprehensive rental agreement which is good for both parties. Our stay was over Christmas: they placed and decorated a full-sized Christmas tree in the unit for us, provided Christmas cookies, made sure there was a turkey baster for dinner preparation -- these are just a few of their many kindnesses. Apparently, they get a lot of repeat visitors, and I can understand why! The unit is unbelievably well-equipped. If you have small children, they will be delighted by all the toys available, along with crib, high chair, etc etc. There is a good sound system, there are two televisions. The spacious, bright kitchen has everything you need -- I made a full Christmas dinner for five there. In-suite laundry room was great. too! The unit is perfect for those in search of peace and quiet. There is almost zero sound transfer from the main house above and the nearest house is practically out of sight. At the same time, you are within range of lots of things to do. A branch of the excellent Grey Canal walking trail system is nearby. Sovereign cross-country ski area is about 20 mins drive, with Silver Star downhill ski area just five minutes beyond that -- both are world-renowned for quality snow. It is about a 15-minute drive to the centre of Vernon for restaurants, movies, etc. Supplies are easy to access at the excellent "Butcher Boys" supermarket and wine store, a 7-minute drive away. The views really are spectacular! At night, the lights in the valley below and the stars above. By day, the lovely hills and lakes of the Okanagan. You can literally see for miles! Just a couple of cautions to remember: The driveway and other parts of the approach are steep. We had an SUV -- no problem -- but our front-wheel drive Toyota with the all-season radials didn't make it up the drive. In winter, I would definitely recommmend 4-wheel drive, or at least full snow tires. And the unit has one bathroom, so plan ahead for scheduling showers, etc if you have teenagers. I highly recommend this vacation rental!

Memorable Family Vacation

Beautiful views - wonderful hosts - close to everything including skiing. My family of 6 stayed at this wonderful home over the Thanksgiving holiday. The suite was spacious, clean, and well maintained. There was plenty of space for our 4 growing boys to read, play games, watch sports, and enjoy some down time. Don't let the fact this only has two bedrooms decieve you as to the space. The rooms were plenty big for my family, and the added media room for the boys to hang out in was perfect. Location was also perfect. The house was so close to Silver Star it was almost in our backyard. When we were not enjoying early season snow, the boys had fun playing hockey in the Sports Court, and I loved curling up by the fireplace with a book. The hosts were a delight! They answered all of our questions and more. We are looking forward to returning to B.C. We would highly recommend this property.

We had a great time in Vernon, especially after we took a look at where the rest of the team were lodging. The place was perfect for our family, everybody was well-rested and had space to move around, we enjoyed exploring the cd collection (!) and admiring the views. We would love to stay again when we return to the area.

Excellent for families!

My husband and I relocated our family from Alberta to the Vernon area and couldn't get into our new home for 5 weeks. We found this wonderful rental and it couldn't have been a better choice. It was more than equipped for us with having 3 small children. All the toys and baby items like the crib, baby bath and exersaucer etc. was fantastic! Our hosts were extremely welcoming and gracious, going above and beyond to help us get aquainted in the area. The suite was spacious and clean and having the outdoor gated yard was great for our kids, as was the sports court! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy some time in Vernon!

We had a wonderful weekend and the place lives up fully to what is displayed. Very roomy and has a very home like feeling. The hosts are fantastic people who are very willing to help. The place is lovely decorated and many personal touches. We highly recommend this place and will visit it again. Views are fantastic and location is also lovely looking over the valley, along with very quiet.

Amazing view, gracious hosts and truly fit for a King. Myself and my 3 children had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home over spring vacation. I have rented many different properties in the Okanagan over the years and this is one that tops my list. Very spacious, convenient location, quiet and again the views are amazing. Will definitely return again.

Great for the team

Four adult teammates stayed a week at Kingsview this winter and found the suite location and amenities perfect. There was much more space than 2 hotel rooms. The unit is well sound-proofed, clean, modern and well equipped. There was even a BBQ. Truly fantastic views and just 12 minutes from downtown Vernon as our gracious hosts stated. I would love to come back with my family as they have everything for young children, and skiing is just 20 minutes away.

We had a wonderful time at this home. Everything you could possibly need is available...we felt as if we were at home. The owners are very thoughtful and helpful. We really enjoyed meeting them and their kids. The location is ideal as it provides an amazing view of the surroundings and it's just a short drive to any of the great things to do in the area. Overall we had a fantastic time here and would definitely make this our first choice for future visits.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kingsview Rd. The suite was roomy, clean, and comfortable. There were many toys available for our small children which was great. The owners were helpful in directing us places to visit during our stay but were unintrusive and gave us complete privacy in the suite. The suite has everything you could possibly need, particularly the kitchen. It was a great place for our family of 5 and we would love to return someday.

We had the pleasure of enjoying this rental property mid July. It was extremely clean and provided us with all the amenities of home. The view was lovely and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. It is extremely suitable for families with young children. The owners were very helpful in providing information regarding local attractions and areas of interest. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time staying in Vernon with you! The views were incredible and the space we had was wonderful for our family. With 3 small kids the suite met all our needs and we found everything we needed in the suite. The property was clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and very helpful in directing us to some of the best family tourist locations. We would definitley recommend this property to our friends and family and hope to be back again for another stay ourselves. Thanks for a great stay!

What a great place. When we first walked in we were struck by just how large this apartment really is and over the time of our stay we also appreciated just how completely livable it was. Kingsview delivers on it's promises in all areas. It is clean, bright and modern with all sorts of nice little details considered. The owners are a super family and while available, are never intrusive. If you do have a question about the area or would like a suggestion for a day trip, just ask and you will receive an enthusiastic and informed response. We enjoyed the property, the views and the entire area and expect to return in the near future. Thanks folks for a wonderful vacation.

This is an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. Just a 25 min drive up to Silver Star for mountain biking in the summer or downhill or cross country in the winter. The view from the property is fantastic. The suite was clean and fully stocked with everything you could think of. Home owners were extremely helpful. Things we did.....rented Kayaks at Kal Beach, visited Davison Orchards, rented Jet Skis from Marina right at Turtle Bay Pub, golfed at Predator Ridge Glf Club....everything was fabulous. We will recommend this property to all of our family and friends!!! This beats staying in a hotel any day! Thanks for the hospitality
