First of all, this is not a cottage, this is a home! It was very clean, open and comfortable. We were there for 8 days and I cannot think of one thing we needed while we there, it really has everything you could possibly need for a fun and relaxing vacation. The kids had a blast fishing off the docks, pretty much every line they threw in brought up a fish, which has now probably spoiled them! The owner, Debbie, is extremely friendly and helpful. She answered all of my (probably annoying at times!) questions right away. We would love to come back next summer!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Wow. Beautiful upscale home on a beautiful lake. Stayed for two weeks mainly with the wife but had our three sons in for a long weekend. Open, spacious concept lends itself to family doing things together. Tastefully decorated and well kept. Would recommend to any family gathering. The boys and myself like to fish. Mitchell and Cadillac are good fishing lakes even in the heat of the summer when we were there. We have already made plans to return next year. Thank you.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We greatly enjoyed our visit to this wonderful house. The views are outstanding, and the home is fully equipped for every activity. A wonderful place for a family with all sorts of entertainment. The home was immaculate, and the location was very quiet and relaxing. We hope to go back again. We did daytrips to Traverse City which was a pleasant drive.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had 7 single adults sleep very comfortably in this beautiful house. The best part about this house is the openness you feel with the floor plan. The large windows also open up to the waterfront making the house even bigger. The house was well stocked and we lacked for nothing. It was immaculate upon arrival and was easy to live in. It is in a great location on Lake Mitchell and only 10 or so minutes to the cozy town of Cadillac. We would definitely look to rent this house again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Why the Owner Chose Cadillac:
Lake Mitchell is a wonderful, family friendly vacation spot all year round. In the summer time kids can swim all day long directly from the property beach. All water sports are easily available from the private dock and water-skiing is awesome. In the winter months the cottage is ideally located, close to well groomed and maintained snowmobile trails and also to Caberfae, a famous, family place for down hill skiing.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The views. You are surrounded by water around three of the four sides. Sunrise is beautiful directly over the lake and sunset is really enjoyable sitting out on the patio. You really feel like you are on a cruise boat, with water all around you........
