This charming, romantic, quaint cabin was actually built in 1920, and of course, has been modernized. The main room and hall has the original gleaming hardwood flooring, a Wisconsin Stone wood burning fireplace (get wood at any of the gas stations), a vaulted ceiling, all tongue-and-groove beautiful knotty-pine paneling, and double paned windows that look like they are from a house in a fairytale. The kitchen is complete with everything you need...including a microwave, a full regular range, double stainless sink, and full size frig. There is a deck that is detached, overlooking Lake Michigan, with two chairs, a stool, a small table, and a chimney-fireplace...everyone LOVES it! The deck overlooks a fire pit where many smores have been enjoyed! Additionally, there is a solid wooden swing that comfortably seats two, and over-looks the Lake.
All the mattresses are new, or newer and the sheets are higher quality. FALL BOOKINGS now being accepted! What a BEAUTIFUL TIME to come to DOOR COUNTY!!

I fell in-love with DOOR COUNTY on my first visit, in 1991. I love the East Coast, and found it to have a similar attraction (I had considered purchasing a property on NANTUCKET ISLAND, but "reality" struck...how often would I really get to go there...living in the Chicago area??!). All seasons are beautiful. LAKE MICHIGAN is sooo interesting. Lots of restaurants...lots of golf courses...lots of shopping and antiquing. I have had my annual Girlfriend Slumber Party here a few times, and my girlfriends just LOVED it! There's plenty for kids to do too!!
Why the Owner Chose Sturgeon Bay
I was looking at different DOOR COUNTY properties in 1997 with my grandson, who was 8 years old at the time. My criteria was that the property had to be on the water. I looked at several properties on the GREEN BAY side that were nice, but I found the Bay to be boring compared to LAKE MICHIGAN, which has movement, and is constantly changing. After my grandson and I viewed the cabin, he said, "Grandma, you have to figure out a way to buy this!"...so I did.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Right after I purchased the property, a lot of great things happened...the "YMCA" was built (right where you turn onto Hwy TT), CEDAR CROSSING B&B/Restaurant opened with a new owner (better!!), the Wal-Mart opened, and the big STURGEON BAY CINEMA opened! Additionally, LAKE FOREST PARK ROAD became a "HISTORICAL RUSTIC ROAD"... I believe that there are only eight... So, I am close to everything important for everyday living...groceries, movies, Wal-Mart, McDonalds, etc,...but I have such an extremely private location, with an "awesome" view, and LOTS of nature!
