Second time staying at the J House, and it was every bit as good as it was two years ago. Sad, though, because all of the extremely friendly, accommodating Mexican people we met were obviously the victims of unfair paranoia regarding safety issues in Mexico. These people deserve better, and they are trying their hardest. Lots of renovations downtown and at the Old Port, but very few of we Americans to appreciate it. We even convinced our nervous nelly relative from Illinois to come along, and now she's a fan. The J House is impeccable, sleeps four easily, is right on the beach, and, most importantly, is dog-friendly. We'll be regulars, we hope.

Beautiful Beach House Rocky Point

Wow...what an amazing place!! This was the first time we have booked a home on VRBO and we were a little apprehensive about the whole process. However, when we walked in the door of the J Beach House all the concern melted away and the relaxation began. This home went way beyond our expectations. Not only is this home steps from the beach, but it is big and roomy and the decorations and linens are top of the line. We fell in love with this beach house and we plan on returning soon. Gail handled all the transactions well and we received our deposiit back quickly....Thanks Gail!

What a wonderful place. We had a great time playing on the beach, eating seafood (steaming fresh clams and grilling shrimp, then enjoying them on the spacious patio overlooking the ocean), visiting, relaxing and swimming. The house is very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Gail was very helpful providing good info and responding promptly to my questions. It's only a short distance to restaurants and shops, yet very private and quiet. I have already recommended this property friends and am looking forward to a return visit myself!

What a great place! It has everything- both inside and out. The beachfront location is the most obvious asset, and the house is clean and spacious with a kitchen that is very well equipped. Gail was very helpful providing information about the house and the town, and responded promptly to my questions. We have already recommended this home to our friends and plan to return ourselves! We have traveled to PP before, but not since 2006. We felt safe and comfortable at all times both in town and on the road between PP and the border.

Perfect House In Rocky Point!

My husband and I have rented houses in Rocky Point for 15 years; this was one of the best rental experiences we have ever had. It started out with Gail being extremely responsive to my many emails and questions regarding the property. Once we got there, we discovered that for one of the first times in all of our Rocky Point visits - everything in this house was as described (actually even better) and everything worked!!! The house was perfect for our needs - two couples and our dogs. It doesn't have that rental vibe, it's beautifully decorated, very clean, cozy and comfortable. Satellite TV too so we didn't miss a playoff game, plus TVs in the bedrooms (a Rocky Point first for me!). Can't say enough about this house and will absolutely rent here again! Thank you so much for sharing this place!

Excellent house right on the Beach

Stayed at this property in May 2011 with my husband and another couple. We did not want to leave!! We all had such a great time. The house had everything that you needed. Confortable beds and linens, all the appliences you may ever need plus more, very well decorated, great location, great beach. I will definately be back to the J House. The media has given Rocky Point such a bad rap. I never felt in danger in any way. There is more violence in Phoenix near my work than in Rocky Point. We visit Rocky Point at least twice a year and always stay in Los Conchas. This is the best home that we have ever rented. Gail was very easy to work with and answered all of my questions in a very timely manner. We tried Pollo Lucas for the first time and loved it. You purchase roasted chickens there with all the fixings. Boy was it good. They are located on the main road, Benito Juarez Blvd (Hwy #8). Make a right off of Freemon Blvd onto Benito Juarez Blvd and it is down the road on your left.

Super Beach Stay

The beach and ocean were beautiful; warm water, not crowded and an easy walk from the patio door. The home was very well furnished and the kitchen had everything needed for all cooking. The place was very clean and comfortable. We bought fresh seafood every day from the Old Port fish markets and it was wonderful and very inexpensive. Restaurants at the Old Port were also very good. Would recommend the rental to friends and family and will definitely be back for a longer stay next time. The owner was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to questions. You definitely need a car since the house is several miles from Old Port or any facilities.

My family has loved visiting Puerto Penasco for years. This is by far the BEST house we have ever stayed in! Right on the beach. The home is clean, beautifully decorated, clearly loved and well cared for by the owners.The negative media about travel to this part of Mexico is terribly overblown. We felt safer here than in Tucson or Phoenix! The people in town are friendly and clearly concerned about helping us feel safe, welcome and relaxed. The security guards at Las Conchas were especially friendly, helpful and attentive. We felt VERY safe and worry free. Had a fantastic time! The big TV was fun, we watched one movie... but..the BEST times were spent walking the beach, gathering shells, playing beach frisbee during low tide and best of all, laughing and playing games on the beachfront porch with the whole family for hours after dinner then turning out all the lights and gazing at the stars. No need for technology! Candles in the fireplace and the sound of the waves...ahhhhhhh. Counting the days till we can return!

A Little Slice of Heaven

Just got back from Easter weekend in Las Conchas and cannot say enough about our wonderful stay at the J Beachhouse. From the moment you walk through the front door, you get a sense that it is a special place indeed. Clearly, the owners take deep pride in their sharing not just another investment property, but their second home. No detail goes unnoticed at the J Beachouse, from Gail's collection of Mexican art, to the luxurious linens on the beds. It was a delightfully, relaxing weekend with the family at the beach. Did I mention the big screen TV and the assortment of board games provided? Our dog was even welcomed! It's not a mtter of "if" for us but "when" we return to Las Conchas - Thank you Gail and Jonny!

This is a great house for two couples. Fully equipped. On the beach, easy to get to. This is truly one of the best houses we've stayed at in Las Conchas.

We have stayed here numerous times and love it. Privately gated community home. Very private patio area where we spend most of our time. Patio is beachfront access/view. It also has an outdoor shower/BBQ.... Interior is all upgraded....Everything is upgraded with high-end appliances and furniture. Has all the kitchen items you need. Why stay in condo when you can stay here?...It's awesome. We've stayed here 4 times in the last 5 months!
