  This was our second time staying at Villa Alexi and again, we had a wonderful time. It is very clean, has a beautiful view of the ocean, private,and the infinity pool is wonderful. We love the location because it is easy to get to St Jean or Gustavia as well as many beaches. The villa is very comfortable and beautifully appointed!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  2nd visit to Alexi and hope for more. You can enjoy ocean sounds and breeze in the living room bug-free because the doors have screens which many villas on St. Barts do not. Villa Alexi is on the ocean with magnificent views, and close to the airport, beaches, and Gustavia for shopping and restaurants. The infinity pool overlooks the ocean and and the outdoor patio area provides complete privacy to just relax and read.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

  We have recently returned from a wonderful week at Villa Alexi. Alexi was everything and more. We were traveling with our 20 year old son and the accomodations were perfect. It was great to have the bedrooms on opposite sides of the home for privacy. Our son loved his room which included a comfy sitting area in addition to the bedroom. The kitchen was really a cooks kitchen. We joked that it was better equipped than our kitchen at home! We have stayed in many homes in St.Bart's but Alexi has the most beautiful furnishings. It is as if you are living in someone's home, not just a rental property. The location is also ideal. No traffic issues and you can park right at the front door. All you need for lazy afternoons at the beach are also avalaible, including beach chairs, towels and coolers. I would recommend Villa Alexi to anyone looking for a great villa experience in St.Bart's. We wish we were there right now!

  This was not my wife’s and my first time to St Barths so we were pretty familiar with the island and its beauty. We wanted to come back but also have some friends join us to fall in love with the island as well. I was in contact with Byron, the owner of Villa Alexi, who hooked me pretty quickly on the beauty of his home and décor not to mention the great waterside location with easy access to all that St Barths has to offer. It was a pleasure to wake up and sit and take in the great views each morning The home is perfect with uninterrupted water views from all windows. We normally spent our days either pool side or exploring the many beaches. The house staff was wonderful and not only did they take care of us in the home, they had great recommendations for what to do as well Byron’s home was just perfect and we are already planning our return trip for next year! Thank you Byron!!

  Stayed at this property from 12-1 to 12-11-2012. The house is quite large and in very good shape, decorated very nicely. The two master bedrooms are very roomy and the beds are very comfortable. Each master has a nicely styled private bathroom with some really cool copper exposed plumbing; never saw that before and liked the design style. The VRBO pictures are accurate for this villa. Byron has everything set up so all you have to do is arrive and start your vacation. The location is private with a beautiful view of the ocean from the two master bedrooms, the central living room and the pool and deck area. I tried fishing in the rocky surf below the house but had no success. The driveway has plenty of room to park and turn around, no crazy steep driveway. We did receive great service and a discount from Maurice Car Rental for using Villa Alexi. Make sure you visit the bakery, La Petite Colombe, a short drive away; we got high fat breakfast food there every morning (awesome). We also hiked to Columbier 4 times and then realized there was an easier path. The house has very cold ac units in each master and a steady sea breeze blows through the central living area. The kitchen is nicely equipped and we cooked in a few nights. Everything operated perfectly. While cooking one night ten little goats appeared outside the window and quickly ran off when I tried to take a photo. The villa has WiFi and satellite TV; both operated flawlessly. The owner Byron Newland was prompt in responding to all questions and the villa more than met our expectations. We look forward to coming back!

  We had a wonderful experience at Villa Alexi. I asked my girlfriend to marry me the first day in St. Barth's and Alexi was the perfect place to spend the week with my fiancee. The Villa is beautiful, well appointed in an asian theme, clean, and very well maintained. The views from the master and the pool area were breathtaking. The infinity pool made for the perfect place to relax after spending the day at a beach. The bedroom stayed as cold as you liked it and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a weber grille right outside. Every door had nice screens which made the main part of the house cool enough to enjoy your time inside. We spent most of our time relaxing under the sunshade in the pool area around the table. The entire villa and pool area is very private. You will see one villa when in the pool, but plenty shielded with trees and a privacy fence. Compared to most Villa's in St. Barth's, this is a very accessible location. Easy in and out driveway and close to everything - St. Jean, Gustavia, and Flamands. We didn't feel like we would find a better place to be after exploring the island all week. Plus, being right on the water and hearing the waves makes all the difference to us. Byron was extremely responsive with any request, both leading up to and during the trip. I locked the safe accidently without first entering a code and emailed Byron. Instead of having to wait for the manager to come the next day, I think he reached out to his guests the week before and asked them what their combination was = problem solved in minutes. It was a big deal with the new engagement ring...The housekeeper came everyday and despite other reviews, she cleaned everything in the villa and left new towels (3 each - beach, bath, and vanity) should you wish. We met the manager, a friend of Byron's and he was very nice and came to clean the pool a couple times that we saw. All in all, this is a great place to stay. You will not be dissappointed. It will exceed expectations. Also, its perfect for two couples - 2 masters on opposite sides of the house. A 3rd room is located in the back which we didn't see, but if its like everything else the villa would be very nice for a family (s). Thanks again Byron!!

  We rented Villa Alexi for 15 days on very short notice. Love the views from the master and the deck, it was so relaxing to put on some music, open the wine and chill. Great location, convenient to everything, easy in and out driveway. LOVE the screens on almost every door and window (last door is reported to be getting a screen in the near future). Great to have the sail shade for sunburn prevention. Well appointed and comfortable. Would definitely rent again! Thanks Byron!

  Thank you for a perfect week!!!. Villa Alexi is perfectly located on the Island of St. Barts. A very close drive to everything. It is very well appointed and provides for a peaceful romatic getaway. The views from the back of the villa are unbelievable!. The staff was wonderful thank you so much Francoise for taking such great care of us. We have used VRBO before but this time our expectations were exceded.

  As I am sure with any VRBO, there will be some issues, but Bryon and the Staff handled them all in a very timely manner. Without repeating other reviews (great view, privacy, etc...) the best part of this Villa is the location. I don't think you can get a better Villa with such a convenient location. It is very easy getting in and out of the Villa as many other villas around the island require steep driveways to get to their view. We explored the island and was constantly on the run, hitting the beaches, restaurants, St. Jean, Gust, etc. At night, it was great to know that the villa was off a main road and didn't have to worry about manuvering a tight up-hill driveway in the dark. Want to run to St. Jean, or the Grocery store in a hurry, no problem, no worries....There are some magnificant villas in St. Barth's, but for this price, you can't beat Alexi due to the view, the house itself and location.

  We enjoyed our stay at Alexi very much and would return again. The villa is very private and directly on the oceanfront among other private homes.It is uniquely, yet comfortably, decorated with Asian furnishings throughout. The seascape views of offshore islands from the main living area, the patio/pool area, and both bedrooms are spectacular. The main areas are equipped with ceiling fans and screens on all doors allowing for ocean breezes and the sound of the ocean, features not often found on other villas on St. Barths.Bedrooms have A/C as well as ceiling fans. There is a sandy beach on Anse de Caye a short walking distance from the property. The caretakers were very responsive when called for any assistance needed as was the owner to e-mail questions in advance of our visit. Alexi is a 10 minute drive to the airport and St. Jean shops and restaurants, and the same for Gustavia shopping and dining.
