Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Some of the many reasons we love Fripp Island Resort. There is a 3 1/2 mile white beach just waiting for your footprints in the sand. Every vacation sport and leisure activity is right here for you. Play two extraordinarily beautiful championship courses. Get a game of tennis at the Racquet Club. Tour the island in your own golf cars. If your passion is water sports, experience the surrounding waters by kayak or skiff then cool off in one of the many pools. All rental toys are available through Island Excursion at the Marina. The Fripp Island Marina offers every convenience imaginable for boat owners and guests of the resort. Just a few miles from the Intracoastal Waterway, the marina offers offshore charters and inshore fishing with experienced guides. The Marina Store is fully stocked with everything you need for a great day on the water, including some of the best deli sandwiches you’ll find anywhere. One of the things that makes the island so special is the delectable Lowcountry dishes you’ll find in the restaurants. Crab Soup, Lobster Pot Pie and Pecan Encrusted Grouper are local favorites. More purists at heart go for the Buttermilk Fried Flounder and some of the Finest Steaks along the East Coast. Whatever your taste, you’ll find it prepared just the way you like it. Kids love Fripp Island. And they will love Camp Fripp, a day camp just for them with tons of activities from learning about the giant loggerhead turtles to searching the beach for beautiful shells as they watch the dolphins swim nearby. There’s something magical about being here. We have just acquired this home, with our large family we needed something big enough for all of us but wanted somewhere that the children could enjoy without us having to worry about them and enough attractions that they never get bored. Which gives my husband time to go and play golf and give me time to catch up with some reading on the outside deck!!
