  We are kind of piecing together a last minute vacation so we have had the opportunity to stay in multiple units filling up "gap days" for KBM Hawaii. Justin has been great fitting us in all his empty days. We are family of 4 and this one bedroom is great for us. Great resort and the facilities are just amazing. Supermarket right across the street and you can walk to most places. We rented a car, but could have got away without one the whole trip. Honua Kai Resort is great and look up Justin if you need a rental. His Dad is a riot. Great family local business.

  My family and I are repeat guests of unit #334. I have 3 young children and I can honestly say this is the best place to stay with children. The unit is large with am extended deck for everyone to have personal space and enjoyment. The unit has a view of the ocean as well as the beautiful mountains to the North. It's location away from the inner courtyard and pool area, means that you can escape from the noise and relax in peace and tranqulity. What makes this unit so impressive is the management team. They great you upon your arrival, provide plenty of supplies above and beyond what you would expect (no need to pack kids toys, puzzles, snorkles, beach chairs, pool toys, kids dishes, etc as this is provided). We have stayed in this unit for the last two years, totalling over 8 weeks and although we are repeat guests, the management team never lets us down. We are always greeted with chocolates upon our arrival, received special treats over Christamas and when we forgot our carseats back in Vancouver, John was there the next morning with 2 boosters in tow! We arrived late this year and after a long flight and three tired children, it was such a great surprise to see a fridge with some cold drinks in it! Thank you KBM for your hospitality and unique customer service. See you again next year!

  Had a wonderful time in this unit. Unit was exactly as advertised and perfect for my family. We travelled with our 11 month old son and it was great that they had a high chair, playpen, and kids dishes. We made great use of the bbqs. Would definately stay here again.

  One of the best units in Honua Kai. The deck (lanai) is amazing. I think I spent an hour just having fun walking out of one room onto the deck, then walking back into a different room. The whole unit is much bigger than the floor plan makes it look. View of mountains and rainbows to the right. Ocean view to the left. In the late afternoon the sun gets hot and beats down on you, but the neighboring hotel provides welcome shade, making dinner on the lanai comfortable. Friendly management staff met us in the lobby to show us around and gave us a box of chocolates as a welcome present. GREAT snorkeling just a few minutes' walk south, in front of the southern building of the neighboring Westin ocean villas. We saw a large sea turtle about 20 yards out and all kinds of fish. Skip the expensive snorkel cruise boats unless you love being on a boat, and just snorkel from the beach instead, it's great. Relatively short ~30min drive north to Honolua bay, Slaughterhouse beach, and Nakalele blowhole. Relatively short ~30min drive south to Maui Ocean center aquarium. Everything else you need is in walking distance, including a grocery store, restaurants and ice cream store across the street.

  The condo was beautiful, complete with everything we needed in the kitchen. The lanai was really an extra room in the condo, and it was perfect for enjoying breakfast and the great views. This particular unit in the Konea building-334 is very well located since you have a partial view of the ocean, a nice breez. Because of its location, there are no other condos looking in on the lanai, this gives you added privacy. Our entire family really enjoyed the pools, the kids loved the waterslide, and there is a great fitness room with top notch equipment. A 5 star condo and resort. When we come back to Hawaii, we will return to this part of paradise.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We arrived in Maui and called Justin who met us in the lobby and took us up to our condo. It was beautiful. It had everything we needed including beach towels, picnic supplies, boogy boards and much more. The washer and dryer were a blessing! The property is outstanding. It is down the beach from the hotels but we liked being away from it all. We walked down the beach boardwalk to the hotels a few times. It is a beautiful walk. Bring a stroller if you have young kids. My 3 yo loved the kids pools and it seemed there was always one hot tub that was a little cooler than the others which was great. It was windy but we didnt mind it was 80's almost the whole trip. The condo has a kids daycare for a cost if you want a few minutes to yourself. We didnt use it but heard it was good. My 15 yo loved the ocean and took the boards out a few times. The condo itself was on the cool side so the patio stayed cool all day which was nice. It was one of the biggest patios in the complex. The patio (lanai) has big glass doors which in the wind can slam or create a tunnel with the bedroom doors even when they are magnetized so be careful with kids fingers! The bedrooms were big and bathrooms as well. It was so nice to have all that space. We went to the new Disney hotel Aulani on Oahu after and agreed the condo space was awesome compared to hotel rooms! The internet seemed sporadic but always seemed to come back on. We loved the restaurant "Dukes" down by the water. It was such an amazing environment with the tiki torches at night. It was so relaxing and the only negative was we couldnt stay for longer! We will definitely come back! Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation!

  Honua Kai is an excellent property and location for family fun. It is very convenient to neighbouring towns and beaches. We were a family of 8 adults and 3 children, so we had 2 condo's - one upstairs from the other, which worked well, as the elevator was close by. The listing accurately describes the property which is relatively new and very well maintained - and a definite 5* facility. They have lush grounds and an amazing pool system' - lots of different pool areas, with a water slide in one of them; also great pool areas for children; and lots of beach chairs - no problem finding a place by the pool The property is just north of Kaanapoli and Lahaina; just south of Napali and Kapalua - very conveninet providing you have a car rental. A car is a must, as there is only one restaurant on site and no curtesy shuttles. There is a grocery store right across the road which is convenient, but otherwise you need to drive. (A taxi to Lahaina was $20 each way - another option). The beach out front of Honua Kai is 'okay' - lots of sand, but drops off sharply - there are much better beaches close by - a 10 minute drive. We would definitely return to this location and recommend it to our friends - the ones with children, as it is a very child/family oriented facility with lots of kids around. The outdoor BBQs are good as well. We BBQed 2 evenings and ate in the BBQ area and the kids went in the pool 'after dark' - a big deal for them. (The pool is open until 10PM).

  Great location, great condo, and really great owners! Justin and John were so very helpful in making our stay a very pleasant experience. We arrived earlier than they expected, but they helped us out by temporarily putting our groceries in another unit's refidgerator while our condo was being cleaned. They were always just a phone call away. I would not hesitate to stay there again someday. My family and I had a wonderful time at this condo.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit. It was all that Jacki said it would be. It was very clean, spacious and elegant with all the amenities. The resort staff were all helpful and very friendly. The resort itself is beautiful and snorkeling in front was terrific. All in all a fabulous unit, resort and area. We would definitely stay again!
