There's a huge deck, equipped with a top of the line grill. There are skylights in the living room, dining room and one of the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen is a cook's dream and completely stocked. It is a magical and amazing place that really allows you to feel at one with nature without forfeiting all the comforts we know and love. Wifi, cable television, large screen TV and indoor and outdoor stereo system.
This a great house if you have kids. One of the bedrooms has bunk beds and a pack n' play. There's a swing set and slide outside. Two bedrooms with mountain views have a queen sized bed, and a twin bed with a trundle in the fourth room. master bath has an oversized soaking tub, and the guest shower is a rain shower.
Ten to fifteen minutes drive gets you to many wonderful attractions and activities.

My wife and I have two kids ages 3 and 5 and love this house and property. We use it year round and have a great time in the house, on the property and in the surrounding areas. We hope to find families and couples who will love it as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Kerhonkson
In the immediate vicinity, you can find hiking, fishing, hunting, rock climbing, antiquing, farms, skiing, snow shoeing, archery, biking, golf, tennis, swimming, birdwatching. The house sits just an hour and forty minutes from the upper west side of Manhattan but offers the real outdoors complete with all nature has to offer. There are only four houses past us going up the mountain so the privacy and quiet is really amazing. There is an 86 ft waterfall a short hike from the house as well as a beautiful swimming hole. We have a creek that runs through the property. One of the entrances to Minnewaska state park is a 10 minute walk up the road and leads you through a giant shale pit ideal for kite flying biking, sledding, star gazing. You can also cross the creek from the property and enter the park that way.
