Exceeds all expectations

This property is wonderful; it is very clean, well-kept, and equipped, besides being charming. Most of all, it is a happy, cozy place to spend time with loved ones. The attention to detail in this house is over-the-top. Karen and Brian obviously put a lot of love into this project, and it shows. Karen handles the rental in a very professional manner, and it made me feel secure. I have come to Colorado Springs many times but have only stayed in the house for the first time. It will definitely be my first choice in the future - hands down.

Cozy, bright cottage. Nice place to stay.

Home was very clean and comfortable. Décor was very light and bright, and the many Parisian touches carried the theme throughout the cottage. It was very convenient to have the washer/dryer, too. The home is centrally located so that nothing to the north or south was more than 15-20 minutes away. We very much appreciated Karen’s recommendations on restaurants to try, and found her picks to be wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It was very comfortable and well-equipped. Everything you could desire was available. It was cozy, clean and wonderfully decorated. The garden was a gem and a great place to enjoy breakfast or dinner.

Sweet as can be....

Two retired gals thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay! (that was all we could get in July 2011). The back yard is beautiful and the decorating inside was adorable and oh so clean. I liked all the security too; and the parking spot right outside the back door. The A/C worked good. Never got to sit on front porch as we were on the go. A very nice place, ok neighborhood and owner was very accommodating and prompt in answering questions, etc.

Charming cottage with every amenity

Guest: Gayle G. (Philadelphia, PA)

We loved our (too) brief stay in this charming cottage. It had everything you could possibly want. The bed was truly heavenly. Everything was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the living and eating areas spacious and comfortable. Wifi worked great. The house is just as adorable as it looks in the pictures, The owner has a great eye for design, and the Parisian theme is handled with charming and witty attention to detail. The house was in great proximity for exploring such Colorado attractions as the Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs, and I enjoyed those very much. But I truly could have been happy just hanging out in this delightful house. I woke up early to drink (delicious) French press coffee in the lovely garden and listen to the birds, and I loved ending the day in the garden as well, with its beautiful flowers, elm tree, and view of the mountains. It was incredibly relaxing and peaceful, especially after a work conference earlier in the week. I was sorry to leave. You do need a car to get around here, but you are likely to have one traveling in Colorado. You couldn't do better than stay in this cottage on a trip to Colorado Springs. The owner was delightful as well, and a pleasure to deal with.

A wonderful place to stay in Colorado Springs!

We had a great stay at the cottage. The gardens were BEAUTIFUL, and the view of Pike's Peak from the yard was amazing. Location was good - easy to get to anywhere in the area. We have VRBO'd it for years and this property is one of the best we've rented. The house is comfortably furnished. Nice king sized bed with very comfy linens. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. Gas cooking was much appreciated. Everything in the house is just as pictured in the listing. The owner was great to deal with. Emails/phone calls/texts were all promptly and cheerfully answered. We'll rent from Karen again next time we are in Colorado Springs. Our little pups loved the place, too.

Parisian Cottage

Guest: Jerry (Edmond, OK)
Date of Stay: 08/30/10 Review Submitted: 09/03/10

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage. We had previously been in South Dakota as well as Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons before coming to the Colorado Springs area. We were hoping to have a more restful, slow-paced time in Colorado Springs - your accommodations made that plan a reality. From the comfortable bed to the relaxing living room and fully stocked kitchen, we had a great time from start to finish. We grilled chicken kabobs and corn-on-the-cob one night and salmon the next. A lot of the extras you provided were greatly appreciated - even the simply things like directions to the nearest grocery store (which we visited twice during our stay). Thank you for a wonderful place to stay during the final days of our vacation. Jerry Pectol

The decor is absolutely amazing and I have never seen any other rental house cleaner than this one! The bed is so comfortable. I truly didn't want to go back to the real world when I had to leave. You are an exceptional hostess and I will recommend you to all my friends.

Charming! Perfect! Everything I had expected and more. Upon arrival, I met with Brian, Karens husband. He was very kind and informative. Karen had a bottle of red wine waiting for me and the home was immaculate. There wasn't one detail that was missed. The location was convienient to everything. The furniture was comfortable, the bed inviting, I had a hard time leaving the solace and going out in the world. It was the perfect getaway and I will most definitly be back. Susan, Ohio

"The most charming Cottage!"

Guest: D. Johnson
Date of Stay: 07/18/09 Review Submitted: 03/14/10

My husband and I stayed at Karen's cottage and had a wonderful time. This cottage is absolutely adorable and our every need (and want) was taken care of. The king size bed was so comfortable with the softest sheets. I couldn't believe all the little extras there were for us. Food and snacks, lotion, bath gel and little special touches. The kitchen is fully stocked with more things than are in my own kitchen at home. The towels and washcloths were abundant and soft. The gardens were gorgeous. We could sit on the back patio drinking wine at night. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
