Family of 5, love to ski, children are also snowboarders. Our summer activities at Winter Park include hiking, biking, alpine slides and photography.
Why the Owner Chose Iron Horse
We are avid skiers and love the Mary Jane/Winter Park area. We were fortunate to purchase the best location (closest unit to the ski bridge) in the Iron Horse Condo complex. The 2 bedrooms plus Murphy bed and a sofa sleeper, along with 2 baths, are perfect for our family of 5 with room as well for friends. In addition, Iron Horse provides owners and guests with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, exercise room, on-site restaurant and ski shop.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We appreciate the convenience of skiing to our condo for lunch, avoiding crowds/costs associated with on mountain restaurants. Unique to our unit is the location next to the ski access bridge, eliminating the need to take elevators/stairs to other floors and/or walking to other buildings in the Iron Horse complex. We enjoy the morning sunshine and breathtaking views of the Continental Divide and enormous pine trees outside our unit.

We just got back from a nice, long weekend in Winter Park. The condo was amazing and made our stay very comfortable. The location could not have been any more perfect. We really enjoyed the ski-in/ski-out convenience and the fact that we didn't have to haul our equipment on and off a bus. The decor in the condo was really cozy and added to our Rocky Mountain getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked so with a quick trip to the grocery store, we were able to cook anytime we didn't feel like going out. Since there was only 4 adults in our party, we only needed the 2 bedrooms but I can see this condo being perfect for a family with kids as well. With the extra beds in the living room, great selection of movies and games, their would be plenty to keep the little ones comfy and entertained. The resort itself was great too. We enjoyed the hot tub on several occasions. We ate at the Bistro one night. Food was good, reasonably priced and even had live music. And the one time I needed assistance, the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We have rented several times thru VRBO and usually have good experiences. This condo was no exception and did not disappoint! Look forward to staying here again. Thanks Barb for all your helpful info too. You are the best!

The condo was so well supplied with activities for children and adults that we had trouble getting everyone out the door to enjoy the pools and activities at the Winter Park Center! The condo was beautifully furnished, supplied with every extra you could want and situated right by the outside access to trails. We'll look forward to a return trip!

My family of 4 has just returned from a 4 night stay at Winter Park and this unit made our visit "perfect". The listing and photo describe the unit exactly has it is. The location was ideal for everything you would want: lifts, ski rentals, ski in/out ,shuttle bus, pool/hot tub, restaurants and walking to the village etc. The unit is extremely well maintained and very clean...felt very much like home. The owner is very helpful and friendly to deal with. I would recommend this unit to any of my family and friends and hope that some day we get the chance to return. Thank you so much for sharing and making our 1st visit to Winter Park a wonderful time !!

Condo was comfortable with all of the room needed for the skiing family. Location, next to the ski bridge, is perfect and so handy. Conveniently located directly on bus route and above ski shop. Garage parking a big plus, during the snowy season. Pre-teen and teenage boys loved the internet access and gamecube. We highly recommend this unit and hope to come back again, soon.

Highly recommend this unit - beautifully kept with lots of extras....shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, fans, full kitchen equipment, games, wireless, video games, TV every room, beach towels for hot tub, extra towels, and body lotion :) Owners def know how to make your stay pleasant! Recommend the Lime restaurant in village - great margueritas - go during happy hour on Taco Tuesdays.

Dear Barb and family, We had a terrific stay at Iron Horse 5094. The condo met our every need - we so appreciated all the thoughtful touches - emails with money saving tips, the "welcome bag" of chocolates, the TV's with good operating instructions, the games, shampoo in showers, full-equipped kitchen, and even the sled which my 9 year old son used daily and loved. We had lots of snow while we were here and the skiing was great. We stayed at this unit at the Iron Horse 3/5/10. The unit is very nice, well-equipped and furnished. It's in a great location, only steps to the mountain. The owner was very easy to work with and very helpful with concierge recommendations as well as area discounts. We hope to be back!

1/1 found this review helpful We booked a 2 bedroom unit as we were traveling with friends. We were fortunate that we got a unit in Bldg D (# 5094) which is right at the level for the ski in/out. The staff was very attentive both at the front desk and in the bar and restaurant. The guys were able to rent their ski equipment right on the property. I appreciated the fact that there is a secure garage so no need to scrape snow/ice off the car in the morning. The food in the restaurant was excellent -everyone in our party loved their selection. I understand from the other reviews that some of the unit don't seem to be as well care for as ours was so I was thrilled with ours. It was perfect. I loved the decor - wanted to copy it for our cabin in Sugar Mountain, NC :-). We would definitely stay there again so the need/oppty arise. Enjoy.
