Best Location / Ultimate Ski-in Ski-out condo: You will appreciate the convenience of skiing to our condo for lunch, avoiding crowds/costs associated with on mountain restaurants. Unique to our unit is the location next to the ski access bridge, eliminating the need to take elevators/stairs to other floors and/or walking to other buildings in the Iron Horse complex. You are literally only 30 steps from our unit to the ski slope. You will also enjoy the morning sunshine and breathtaking views of the Continental Divide and enormous pine trees outside our unit.
About the Owners:
We are avid skiers and love the Mary Jane/Winter Park area. We were fortunate to purchase the best location (closest unit to the ski bridge) in the Iron Horse Condo complex. The 2 bedrooms plus Murphy bed and a sofa sleeper, along with 2 baths, are perfect for our family of 5 with room as well for friends. In addition, Iron Horse provides owners and guests with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, exercise room, on-site restaurant and ski shop.

Excellent location and accommodations! This is a condo is exactly as described in the posting and is a home away from home. Lots of games, movies and extras provided by Barb and her family. We stayed in this condo and were extremely happy. Located right by the ski out exit it was convenient. The owners obviously take good care of hte property and handled us professionally and courteously. Great to be just steps from the ski lockers and outside. Condo was very clean and we enjoyed all the subtle extras (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc). We had 5 in our party but condo could easily sleep 7. Just want to reiterate that Barb was very helpful and accomodating. Thanks, Barb!Recommended for: Families with young children.

We just returned from our stay at Iron Horse 5094, It was great. We have stayed at Iron Horse the past 4 years and love it, this year was even better. The condo is very conveniently located next to the ski bridge. The condo had everything we needed. (fans, humidifiers, games, full size shampoo, conditioner, lots of items in kitchen). Barb was very helpful with all the information sent ahead of time and very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this condo. We plan on returning next year. We had a wonderful time here in February 2012. Barb was very helpful and the condo was lovely. It was great being so close to the ski-out doors. Winter Park has some great tree skiing. I really appreciated the regular size dishwasher soap. Usually when we rent, only sample sizes are provided on most things so buying more adds to my bill. In fact I recommend going to the condo first and then shopping. Zip locks and aluminum foil were already in a drawer. Unfortunately I shopped first so I just added to the supplies. It’s great how they don’t nickel and dime you on buying every little thing. Coffee filters were in the cabinet (brought my Community from home). Shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided if you want to save on packing. Two working humidifiers! Thanks so much. Great family movies available. We will stay again! Side notes: Fraser Tubing was great $16/hr. Iron Horse Bistro: Loved the trout dinner. Peanut Explosion dessert = tasted old. Advantage Rental Car Denver Airport: Awful. Long wait. Overcharged.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We just got back from a nice, long weekend in Winter Park. The condo was amazing and made our stay very comfortable. The location could not have been any more perfect. We really enjoyed the ski-in/ski-out convenience and the fact that we didn't have to haul our equipment on and off a bus. The decor in the condo was really cozy and added to our Rocky Mountain getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked so with a quick trip to the grocery store, we were able to cook anytime we didn't feel like going out. Since there was only 4 adults in our party, we only needed the 2 bedrooms but I can see this condo being perfect for a family with kids as well. With the extra beds in the living room, great selection of movies and games, their would be plenty to keep the little ones comfy and entertained. The resort itself was great too. We enjoyed the hot tub on several occasions. We ate at the Bistro one night. Food was good, reasonably priced and even had live music. And the one time I needed assistance, the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We have rented several times thru VRBO and usually have good experiences. This condo was no exception and did not disappoint! Look forward to staying here again. Thanks Barb for all your helpful info too. The condo was so well supplied with activities for children and adults that we had trouble getting everyone out the door to enjoy the pools and activities at the Winter Park Center! The condo was beautifully furnished, supplied with every extra you could want and situated right by the outside access to trails. My family of 4 has just returned from a 4 night stay at Winter Park and this unit made our visit "perfect". The listing and photo describe the unit exactly has it is. The location was ideal for everything you would want: lifts, ski rentals, ski in/out ,shuttle bus, pool/hot tub, restaurants and walking to the village etc. The unit is extremely well maintained and very clean...felt very much like home. The owner is very helpful and friendly to deal with. I would recommend this unit to any of my family and friends and hope that some day we get the chance to return. Condo was comfortable with all of the room needed for the skiing family. Location, next to the ski bridge, is perfect and so handy. Conveniently located directly on bus route and above ski shop. Garage parking a big plus, during the snowy season. Pre-teen and teenage boys loved the internet access and gamecube.
