Year Purchased: 2005
Family of 5, love to ski, children are also snowboarders. Our summer activities at Winter Park include hiking, biking, alpine slides and photography.
Why the Owner Chose Iron Horse
We are avid skiers and love the Mary Jane/Winter Park area. We were fortunate to purchase the best location (closest unit to the ski bridge) in the Iron Horse Condo complex. The 2 bedrooms plus Murphy bed and a sofa sleeper, along with 2 baths, are perfect for our family of 5 with room as well for friends. In addition, Iron Horse provides owners and guests with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, exercise room, on-site restaurant and ski shop.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We appreciate the convenience of skiing to our condo for lunch, avoiding crowds/costs associated with on mountain restaurants. Unique to our unit is the location next to the ski access bridge, eliminating the need to take elevators/stairs to other floors and/or walking to other buildings in the Iron Horse complex. We enjoy the morning sunshine and breathtaking views of the Continental Divide and enormous pine trees outside our unit.

1/1 found this review helpful We booked a 2 bedroom unit as we were traveling with friends. We were fortunate that we got a unit in Bldg D (# 5094) which is right at the level for the ski in/out. The staff was very attentive both at the front desk and in the bar and restaurant. The guys were able to rent their ski equipment right on the property. I appreciated the fact that there is a secure garage so no need to scrape snow/ice off the car in the morning. The food in the restaurant was excellent -everyone in our party loved their selection. I understand from the other reviews that some of the unit don't seem to be as well care for as ours was so I was thrilled with ours. It was perfect. I loved the decor - wanted to copy it for our cabin in Sugar Mountain, NC :-). We would definitely stay there again so the need/oppty arise. Enjoy.
