“Raven’s Nest,” (one of two Enchanted Eagle Vacation Luxury Retreats in Langley), with an Eagle’s eye view of beautiful Holmes Harbor, the snow-capped Olympic Mountains and soaring eagles on beautiful Whidbey Island.
“Raven’s Nest,” which sleeps up to 8 people with 2 baths, is a spacious, bright and airy new beach home with lofty cathedral ceilings, with windows across the entire front of the house offering incredible non-stop views from every room.
In the Master Suite, you will luxuriate in soft 100% cotton sheets & down comforters* on your Queen bed overlooking the Harbor, with a comfy red leather Dania easy chair in the sitting area where you can sip herbal tea and read a good book from our library, or just enjoy the peaceful view. The Suite features live plants and wonderful art, and has a private porcelain tiled bath with a deep-soaking jetted tub and shower, vanity with granite countertops and a large walk-in closet. (*Alternative to down comforters available.)
The second bedroom, “Dreamcatcher Den,” has two standard size comfortable twin beds with a view of the stately firs and gardens in the Woodland Grove. There is a fully tiled full bath adjacent to the room with tub, shower and vanity with granite countertops.
“Raven’s Loft” with an even loftier view of the beautiful Harbor offers two comfy Queen beds with down comforters, incredible Indian art & sculpture, and Views! Views! Views!
The Great Room offers lovely comfortable furnishings with an incredible view of the Great Outdoors - the scenic Harbor, snow-capped Mountains, eagles gliding across the sky, sailboats & sunsets. If you desire entertainment at home, there is a 32” LCD Satellite TV with a DVD & VHS player, radio, CD player, a full library of books, movies & music, along with puzzles, card & board games. The ceiling fan on the lofted ceiling offers a cool breeze in the summer & circulates the heat in the winter from the lovely 3-glass sided ‘Tree of Life’ propane fireplace.
You will enjoy the open kitchen with granite countertops, which is fully equipped with all you will need for preparing your most complex meals, with a great view of both the Woodland Grove and the Harbor so you can cook and enjoy the views and visit with everyone in the Great Room at the same time! The Breakfast Bar with granite countertop seats 3 and/or provides extra room for serving. The Oak dining table seats up to 10 with its extension leaves, and opens out onto the large Deck overlooking the Harbor. There is also a laundry room available for your use.
The 41’ x 10’ Deck provides a prime spot to relax in lounge chairs on sunny days sipping lemonade, taking in the essence of the Great Northwest, overlooking the Harbor and the memorable scene of eagles in flight...or at night, watching the thousands of stars sparkling in the dark night sky like diamonds. There is also a 17’ x 8’ covered porch with a table and chairs overlooking the Woodland Grove with its magnificent towering firs, hydrangeas, Rhododendrons, wildflowers & stone art. There is a gas BBQ grill and picnic table where you can enjoy lunch and a hammock to nap in after lunch!
Our private gated community BEACH is just a 5-minute walk (or quick drive) down the hill where you can lounge in the sun, walk along the beach watching eagles that come to feed at low tide, take a dip in the water, or utilize the picnic tables and covered pavilion, and make s’mores at the fire pit. There is also a game lawn and a boat ramp, so bring along your frisbees, kayaks, canoes, sailboats, motorboats and jets skis, etc.! (Bring along your beach towels too!)

Lee and Patricia Wilkerson have lived on beautiful Whidbey Island for 22 years, and thoroughly enjoy the beauty, variety and essence of Island life. They have also enjoyed traveling internationally over the years both on business and for pleasure, and have experienced some of the finest accommodations both on the U.S. mainland and in Hawaii, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, and in many other wonderful locations. From their travels they selected the most desirable features they enjoyed at many excellent hotels in creating their Enchanted Eagle Vacation Luxury Retreats – Raven’s Nest and Enchanted Eagle - which they completed building in late June, 2009. Of course, they have added far more to their Retreats, as they chose to create a complete ‘home away from home’ with all the features needed for day to day living, plus selecting a stunning setting in which to build their Retreats, with one of the most exquisite views, and designed the home’s interiors, furnishings, lighting features and grounds with great care to ensure optimum comfort and enjoyment, and using design, colors, hues and art that elicits a sense of tranquility and inner peace. Some years ago (in 1990), Patricia opened a small shop in Langley on Whidbey Island, which soon evolved into the well-known Enchanted Eagle Gallery featuring American Indian Arts, Crafts, limited edition Sculpture, Pottery, and exquisite handcrafted jewelry created by some of today’s most accomplished American Indian Craftsmen and Silversmiths. Although the Gallery is no longer in Langley, you may shop at Enchanted Eagle Gallery by appointment with Pat, and you may also enjoy some of the beautiful art which is displayed in the Retreats. In this fast-paced and stressful world, we desired to create a place of beauty and respite that we could share with others to provide them with a place to visit and recharge their energies, and to offer an unforgettable experience in celebrating special occasions. We completed building our Retreats in late June 2009 and gave special care in designing, decorating and furnishing the homes and grounds to provide optimum comfort, convenience and above all, beauty, which restores the soul. The setting, overlooking lovely Holmes Harbor, with the Olympic mountains in the background, with eagles soaring overhead daily, is unsurpassed in its beauty.
