“Raven’s Nest” and "Enchanted Eagle" are two newly built identical luxury retreats adjacent to one another with an Eagle’s eye view of beautiful Holmes Harbor, the snow-capped Olympic Mountains and resident soaring eagles. Each home has classic hardwood and porcelain tile floors, sleeps up to 8 guests each with 2 full baths, and are spacious, bright and airy with lofty cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows across the entire front of the homes, offering incredible non-stop views from every room!
In the Master View Suite, you will find unsurpassed comfort in your luxurious Queen bed, enfolded in soft 100% cotton sheets & down* duvets, and awaken to a gorgeous view of the Harbor. Sink back into the comfy red leather Dania easy chair in the sitting area and enjoy a few private moments with a book from our library, or just relax & enjoy the view. The Suite features lovely art & décor, a softly dimming chandelier & sconces, live plants, a large walk-in closet with a full-length mirror - and a private porcelain-tiled bath (with shower) where you can ease into the deep-soaking jetted tub at the end of the day to indulge and soothe your senses. The huge Raven’s Loft (Eagle’s Loft), with an incredible view of the blue skies, Harbor and Mountains features two luxurious Queen beds with down duvets & soft cotton sheets, bedside tables with reading lamps, incredible NW & SW Indian art & sculpture and Views! Views! Views! The two chandeliers in the Loft also have dimming features to add ambiance!
The Dreamcatcher Bedroom offers two comfy twin beds with a view of the gardens and stately firs in the Woodland Grove with a fully tiled bath adjacent to the room with tub, shower & granite-topped vanity.
The Great Room offers lovely comfortable furnishings and décor with an incredible view of the scenic Harbor, snow-capped Mountains, Eagles gliding across the sky, sailboats & sunsets. The inviting ‘Tree of Life’ propane fireplace with its warming glow adds to the serenity and ambiance along with the dimming features on the chandeliers and wall sconces to add a romantic touch. The ceiling fan on the lofted ceiling will cool you in the summer, and circulate the heat in the winter, keeping you pleasantly comfortable year round, with additional individual heaters and controls in each room. And for ‘at-home’ entertainment, enjoy the 32” LCD TV with DVD & VHS, radio, CD player, a full library of books, movies & music, along with puzzles, card & board games.
The lovely open designer kitchen with maple cabinets, granite countertops and breakfast bar is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare the most complex ‘at home’ meals, and features a view of the Harbor in the front and the Woodland Grove in back. The adjoining view dining room with oak dining set that seats 8 and opens out onto the huge deck overlooking the Harbor.
The 41’ x 10’ Deck provides an ideal spot to relax in comfy lounge chairs and take in the essence of the Great Northwest, with views of the Harbor, mountains, stunning sunsets, and memorable scene of eagles in flight...or where you can gaze up at the stars sparkling like diamonds in the dark night sky.
You can also enjoy the large covered porch with tables and chairs overlooking the Woodland Grove with its magnificent towering firs, hydrangeas, rhododendrons, wildflowers & stone art. The Woodland Grove is your private picnic grove where you can cook out on the gas BBQ grill and enjoy a casual lunch or dinner at the picnic table.
Our private gated community BEACH is just a 5-minute walk (or quick drive) down the hill where you can lounge in the sun, walk along the beach & watch eagles and herons that come to feed at low tide, take a dip in the water, or utilize the picnic tables and covered pavilion, and make s’mores at the fire pit. There is also a game lawn and a boat ramp, so bring along your beach towels, frisbee, games, kayak, sailboat, or motorboat!

After 22 years of living on Whidbey Island, Lee and Pat are still thoroughly enchanted by the incredible beauty the Island offers that makes this the paradise that it is.
Having travelled extensively over the years, Lee & Pat have experienced some of the finest accommodations on the U.S. mainland, in the Hawaiian Islands, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and numerous other locations. In 2006 they set in motion the development of their dream: Building distinctive vacation rental homes where folks from near and far could visit and luxuriate in the homes’ comforts and the surrounding beauty of our Island paradise.
They chose to incorporate the features they enjoyed most in their travels, from their pleasant hospitality right down to the all-important cleanliness, luxurious comforts and conveniences to make their vacation homes a welcoming haven that their guests would find extraordinarily pleasing, and desire to return to again and again.
If you’ve visited Whidbey in years past, you might recognize the name ‘Enchanted Eagle.’ Back in 1990 Pat opened The Enchanted Eagle Gallery, an awe-inspiring gallery featuring NW & SW American Indian and wildlife art, photography & sculpture, original NW totem poles and carvings, exquisite handcrafted jewelry, pottery and unique crafts. The Gallery flourished on First Street for 10 years, but although it no longer graces downtown Langley, you may enjoy and even purchase some of the art displayed in the vacation homes, and make arrangements with Pat to see the jewelry and other amazing art, sculpture & crafts that are available for purchase.

We were on Whidbey for our son's wedding and rented both houses for family members. What a treat! It is centrally located, so was easy to get to both the church and the reception location. Pat and Lee reserved the private beach the night before so we had the rehearsal dinner there. Lovely setting and beautiful views and absolutely wonderful hospitality. Pat and Lee were there to greet us when we arrived, asked us if there was anything we needed but then gave us our privacy. The houses are roomy and comfortable and came with everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return to the area for a more relaxing stay. We'll be sure to check out Enchanted Eagle again if we do.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

While this house and location were very beautiful, our family of 8 was uncomfortable in this home. It is advertised as sleeping 10, however even 8 people are stretching the accommodations too thin. The loft is unsuitable for 2 couples, as it has no bath, no wall to separate it from the living room, no mirror, no curtains or shade to block the sunlight from the floor to ceiling windows and living room lights, and the beds are quite close together. The two bathrooms in the house are downstairs right next to each other, and are so small there isn't even room for a toilet paper holder in the master bath! The owner called and came by several times to locate and remove kitchen utensils for another rental, interrupting our last minute preparations for a family wedding, adding to the stress of trying to juggle getting people dressed with no mirrors in any of the bedrooms and only 2 small bathrooms! White towels, white couches, black sinks and counters that water spot easily added to the stress and burden of keeping the home clean. The renters are expected to do extensive cleaning, the checkout procedure is absurdly extensive for the high price charged for the rental. In summary, this a beautiful home that would be suitable for a maximum of 4 guests with no children.
Owner response:We have enjoyed numerous groups and families of up to 10 guests with children of all ages, all of whom have commented on being very comfortable in our homes and pleased with every aspect. We chose to not install curtains on the view windows so the view of the Harbor and mountains could be enjoyed which everyone has previously been delighted with, as evidenced by both verbal and written comments in our Guest Book. At night, chandelier lighting can be turned off and table lamps lit in the Great Room which cannot be seen from the Loft. The home comfortably sleeps 8 guests in 3 queen beds and 2 twins, with an option for 2 extra guests on 3x6 foot foldout beds. The Master Suite has a full length mirror, and both standard size bathrooms have 3x3 foot mirrors above the sink vanities. There is now a TP holder in both bathrooms. The 20x13 foot Loft with a gorgeous view of the Harbor has 2 queen beds with bedside tables beside and between the beds and 2 bureaus with small mirrors and where we have recently installed an optional curtain between the beds and a full length mirror. Going through the home upon their arrival, from all comments these guests seemed very pleased, with no concerns or needs voiced during their stay. We always emphasize that if guests need anything at all or have any questions, to let us know and we will do all we can to meet their needs. We are always available and willing to please, and if guests will simply communicate their needs, we can normally provide what they desire. A 15 second phone call was made about utensils that were left behind which the owner picked up on the porch without even knocking at the door so as to not disturb them. Another day the owner simply dropped by and asked if they would like to have the deck chairs set out for them after the rain, briefly offering personal service, and answered some questions. We strive to be unobtrusive, but also try to do what we can to help make our guests stay as pleasant and carefree as possible. Our easy checkout procedure simply consists of leaving the home in a reasonably tidy condition with the dishwasher started, which our renters are familiarized with when the home is reserved. We will continue to strive to make the Enchanted Eagle homes an enjoyable, highly desirable destination place where guests can experience their special occasions and vacation getaways in one of the most beautiful settings on Whidbey Island.

What a great place for a family reunion! We rented both houses - the Enchanted Eagle and Raven's Nest, and had lots of picnics outdoors and we loved the beach and everything here.
