It has gorgeous cedar siding and beautiful New England Maple floors. The state of the art kitchen has Alder knotty kitchen cabinets for an exquisite look of luxury. The master bedroom even has its own cute sunroom with panoramic mountain views!
The gorgeous open floor plan upstairs provides an open feeling and has incredible views from the stuffed dormer window seat. Mt. Silverheels is visible among the beautiful Continental Divide views. The home is nestled in aspen and pine groves. Nearby rock outcroppings add to the beauty of the setting. There is an oversized 2-car attached garage and another detached garage with tall roll-out doors for RV storage. The home is beautifully furnished with tasteful mountain decor.
The home is located in the new National Historical Park which is one of four in the nation. The rich history of the mining district and railroads provide an interesting setting to explore. South Park City is a recreation of the old mining days and has a museum complete with an entire ghost town to explore. Fairplay is about 10 minutes away. Boreas Pass, Guanella Pass, Mosquito Pass, and Weston Pass are but a few of the many areas you will want to explore - especially in the Fall as this area is known for it's magnificent Fall foliage. You can take Mosquito Pass right into Leadville and explore dozens of old mines there. Breckenridge with world class skiing and shopping is less than an hour away. Buena Vista with its famous rafting and ATV trails is 45 minutes away.
You will enjoy the flexibility of being able to explore all of the exciting areas in the heart of the Rockies by being in the center of all the activities. You will be able to enjoy a luxurious home but also the seclusion and beauty that only a true mountain setting can offer.

- Deck/Patio (2) : There is a large porch off of the lower level with chairs. It is covered by the upper porch and opens to a large back yard area and the forest beyond. The upper porch is directly accessible from the master bedroom and private sunroom. It also has entry from the downstairs living area. The front and side also have wrapping porches.
- Balcony: Upstairs balcony that connects to the sunroom off of the master bedroom. Access is also available from the main living area.
- Lanai: Private sunroom off of the master bedroom with gorgeous wicker furniture and windows that can open to let in the cool breezes or closed to make a cozy reading room to watch it snow.
- View/Location
- Mountain View: Wow!! - picture postcard panoramic view of the mountains and surrounding Aspen and Pine groves. The views are the best in the entire area. You are on top of the mountain but still surrounded by huge forests of Aspen and Spruce trees. There is a fire-ring to build a fire and enjoy the views outside as well.
- Communications
- Telephone: Long distance phone calls provided but the owner requests that a $0.15 per minute cash contribution be left to cover the actual costs of these calls. It is an honor system.
- Cell Phone: Good cell phone reception at the home.
- Computer w/ Dial-up Internet: Dial up internet is available but you must provide your own computer for use.
- Other Amenities
- This property has so many amenities that they are difficult to list. Please call and ask questions. There is almost every luxury you can think of. There is even a private work shop downstairs. The wood floors are magnificent as they are solid maple and make for an unbelievably beautiful setting. The decorations in the home were done with only the most tasteful selections. You will love the outdoor fire-pit surrounded by Aspen with gorgeous mountain views. A large picnic table is also provided by the fire-pit.
- Suitability
- Pet Friendly: Pets are ONLY allowed in the pet enclosures outside. They are not allowed in the house at any time due to allergic conditions and possible damage to the beautiful maple flooring. They may sleep in the basement/large attached garage at night to be safe from wild animals. The backyard is enclosed but do not leave them unattended.There is a dog house in one of the two enclosed areas. You must take them with you when traveling or leave them in the basement. If pets are allowed in the home (other than the basement) the security deposit will be used for cleaning carpets and draperies. Additional cleaning fees may apply and any damage to the wood floors will be charge to the credit card. Please ask permission first. This is closely monitored.
- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): You can drive right up to the front door and there is a ramp but the person would be limited to the first floor. The master bedroom and kitchen and dining are all on this floor but there are no special handrails or showers available. Damage to wood flooring from wheelchairs will be taken out of the security deposit or charged to your credit card if it exceeds the $250 security deposit.
- Wheelchair Accessible (may have limitations): Wheelchair ramp located at the main entrance that will give accessibility to all of the main floor and deck.
- Kid Friendly: Wild animals are always in the mountains so monitor your children at all times and do not leave them unattended. There is a fenced back yard but they still need to be monitored all of the time as animals are able to jump fences. There is a large mountain park with play equipment and swings. The picnic area there has an 18-hole frisbee golf course.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: Must be at least 18 years of age. Driver's license may be asked for proof of age and identity.
- Smoking Not Allowed: Absolutely no smoking on the property. Fines and cleaning fees will apply if smoking is detected.

- Almost any outdoor activity you can think of will be within minutes of the home. You are in the heart of the old mining district so there are numerous ghost towns, mines, old railroad beds, and 4-wheel drive roads to explore Colorado's rich history. There is rafting, skiing, ATV trails, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, rock collecting, and yes shopping and restaurants close at hand. You will be near Lost Creek Wilderness Area and Pike National Forest. There are so many lakes to fish in that it would be impossible to name them all. I will be happy to be your guide to the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Just ask and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding activities and reservations.

Why the Owner Chose Jefferson
I am a property manager for this home but I too have a vacation home in this location because it is not only one of the most picturesque locations in Colorado but it is also centrally located to all of the activities that we love such as skiing, hiking, fishing, 4-wheeling, and exploring old mines and ghost towns. It is close enough to Breckenridge and Buena Vista to enjoy shopping and eating out within an hour.
The Unique Benefits of this Home
I enjoy the solitude and quiet beauty of being way up in the mountains. You can enjoy hiking among the wild flowers and wildlife in the summer and snuggle up and read a book by the fire while it snows in the winter. You can be hiking and playing in the mountains all day and then be at Breckenridge enjoying shopping or dining out in the evening. It is the best of both worlds.
