This charming coastal house has been here for over a hundred years. Named for the 800 orchids that were once grown in a greenhouse on the south end of the property, the home still boasts a large colorful perennial garden. Feel free to pick fresh flowers, as well as blueberries and raspberries during your stay. Across the street you will find a large field perfect for lounging in Adirondack chairs and watching the lobstermen hauling their traps . Here you can store and launch your canoes and kayaks via private beach access. The beach is perfect for gathering rocks and shells, watching crabs scuttle by, and for those hardy souls the swimming is not bad at high tide! The island is beautiful and has many places to explore. For those who desire a little taste of city life downtown Brunswick has lovely shops, restaurants, and a farmers market. Freeport with all of its outlet shops including L.L. Bean is a short drive away. And don't forget Portland's waterfront
Accomodations: An Orchid Harbor rental includes the Main House and all of its surroundings. If you would like to rent the apartment for an additional fee of $300, during your stay you may do so. The apartment is attached to the home and features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room, kitchenette, and separate parking.

Half of the weeks rent is due with a signed contract to secure the rent (and is non-refundable) the balance is due 30 days before you arrive.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
We charge a 7% Maine State Lodging tax and we hold a $300 damage deposit which you get back as long as there is no damage.
