This unique property sits on 21 private acres. As you are sitting on one of many decks you are amazed at the incredible mountains and are easily distracted by the bold Little Snowbird creek that rushes below you. Off to your left is a large well stocked pond and bonfire pit that you know will bring many memories to your family. The creek itself will be enjoyed for fishing and playing.
As you enter the home, the comfort and care that went into the decorating amazes you. The bold log furniture, leather sofas, cozy corner wood stove, beautiful wood floors and walls, all very well done. The Kareokee machine catches your eye! This could be a lot of fun!
You can envision a week here is going to fly by. Oh and look at that incredible outdoor kitchen off to the left. Entering the log structure and looking through the screens you again are enjoying the beautiful mountains, creek and pond.
You can see your family sitting at the handcrafted log table and chairs enjoying some of the fine things you were able to cook using the smoker, gas grill, charcoal grill, deep fryer and normal kitchen appliances. What an amazing place.
Thinking of activities you can go enjoy with your family are numerous. Go about 10 miles from the cabin to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest for a nice hike and enjoy riding along the famous Cherohala Skyway with majestic mountain views throughout your drive.
Rent a boat and spend the day on Lake Santeetlah only 10 minutes away. Take a courageous whitewater rafting trip on the Nantahala River 30 minutes away, or the Cheoah in town for more experienced. Take a ride on the Smoky Mountain Railroad from Bryson City (30 min). Visit Museums or Gamble in Cherokee (45 min) Visit Ghost Town in the Sky and ride the rollercoaster in Maggie Valley (1 hr). Rent and ride bikes, or horses nearby.
Bring your ATV and ride from the cabin for hours along Snowbird Road as it winds up into the mountains along Little Snowbird Creek. And for motorcyclists, the Cherohala and Tail of the Dragon are only 15 minutes away.
Keep in mind this well maintained property with its mountain views, along the creek, also has a rolling large grassy lawn perfect for weddings, reunions or family gatherings. As you watch the sun rise and set daily in this private peaceful setting, you will be sure to have a memorable vacation to take home with you forever!
