THIS DELIGHTFUL WATERFRONT condo is located at Mermaid Wharf in the Upper Harbour beside Victoria's historic Chinatown. You will be only minutes by foot from the centre of Old Town Victoria and other downtown attractions, such as the Parliament Buildings, the Royal BC Museum and some of Victoria's finest restaurants. It is an easy stroll to theatres, movie houses, antique shops, department stores, galleries and fine shopping opportunities.
RIGHT OUTSIDE YOUR condo you can rent a kayak, canoe or power boat. Board the little ferry shuttle to the whale watching, eco-tours and all the attractions of the Inner Harbour. Get your exercise on the jogging trails along the harbor waterfront. Alternatively you can lie out in the sun on the rooftop patio garden, relaxing as you watch the activity of boats, kayaks and float planes in the harbour, enjoy a picnic lunch or prepare a barbeque dinner. And, in winter, enjoy lazy days with a good book in front of the gas fireplace.

Year Purchased: 2009
Samm and Shera were both born and raised on the prairies, Samm in Canada and Shera in the U.S. How we both ended up living on Galialo is to long to detail here but both of us have spent more than 30 years in B.C. Shera has been a partner in a B&B on Galiano Island for more than 20 years and is an accomplished artist. It is some of her paintings that you will see hung in the condo. Shera and her partner also lead tours to Peru and Thailand. Samm has spent much of her time travelling to and living in Europe but has finally settled down and lives in semi-retirement. Animals are her passion.
Why the Owner Chose Victoria
Downtown Victoria is so full of life and activities that we thought it would be the perfect place to provide vacation rentals. When we saw the condo it was love at first sight - it took all of 5 minutes to decide to buy it.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
Wow - there is so much available within walking distance of the condo that we almost don't know which activity to start with. You can rent bikes (or bring your own - there is a place in the underground parking to store them) or kayaks (ditto), walk or jog on the waterfront, go to museums, theatres, catch a whale watching tour, lounge on the rooftop deck or shop til you drop. We love the fact that you can select a book from our library and curl up in front of the gas fireplace.
