Lovely beach house at the exclusive Wild Dunes Golf and Tennis Resort just outside Charleston, South Carolina. Our vacation home is large with an open floor plan and FIVE beds (four bedrooms), three attached bathrooms and two sleeper sofas. There is ample room to enjoy your guests as well as find that quiet space alone. It is located only three houses away from the beach and has no major streets to cross to get to the beach! The beach access is 2 minutes away.
The location is perfect with an eight mile sandy beach, yet only 20 minutes from one of America's most charming historical cities, Charleston. Wild Dunes Resort has a fabulous oceanfront golf course, tennis, spas, bike paths, restaurants, and loads of Southern charm.
Charleston is known for its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriage tours, incredible architecture, antiques, art galleries, and great dinning experiences. This area is also a great starting point for other unique destinations such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Savannah, Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort which are all within easy driving distances.
First Floor -The large wrap-around front and side porches extend the outside space for relaxing and experiencing the ocean breeze. From the entrance on the porch, you have the Living Room/Study which is a great place to get away from it all on your left and the Dining Room on your right. Straight ahead is the Sun Room.The beautiful Kitchen with granite and stainless appliances with breakfast area and Laundry Room are to your right. You have access to the Deck for grilling and entertaining from the Sun Room and the Kitchen. The large Family Room is to your left with a wet-bar and bathroom nearby. Also on the first floor, there is a Master Bedroom with a king bed and Master Bath with jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower.
Second Floor - One queen bedroom and one full bedroom with a shared bathroom. Another bedroom with two double beds and private bathroom. A blow-up queen mattress and twin mattress are available.
Saturday to Saturday rentals from the months of May through August. The rest of the year nightly rates are available. Check in at 4:00pm and check out at 11:00am
*SportsCard for access to Wild Dunes facilities is available
* 12.5% South Carolina tax required by law.
* Credit Card backup required to reserve dates with 50% deposit
* Deposit due within 30 days of receipt of contract

This wonderful house has been our beach destination for at least the last nine years. The house is beautifully decorated, and provides all that is necessary for a wonderful beach vacation. The owner has gone out of her way to enhance her guests' stay and has her lovely sister Emily in the area to remedy the smallest problem one may have. The house is not right on the beach but a very short walk away. (Just enough distance to shed a little sand before entering the property). We love the spacious rooms, great kitchen, deck with grill. We love meeting for coffee in the morning on the front porch. The house is very clean, very comfortable, and is perfect for our family to gather and enjoy this time together.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Palm House is a great place for getting the multi-generation family together in a comfortable and convenient location. The house is attractively decorated and clean. The floor plan worked well for 12 people to sleep comfortably with privacy. The study and sunroom were nice pluses for older children. We loved the beach and enjoyed walking, shelling, and playing in the tidal pools everyday. The convenience to attractions in Charleston kept everyone happy doing their own thing. The well equiped kitchen worked nicely for three or four folks at a time working together. Owner has local family member to support any maintenance needs. Loved beautiful Master Bathroom!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

What a wonderful house! We have vacationed in Wild Dunes for the past 7 years in 5 different properties and I only wish we had found this place eariler. A fantastic layout, beautifully furnished, and very close to the beach, the Grand Pavilion and other Wild Dunes amenities. The owners sister Emily who lives near by could not have been more friendly and helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. We will be back next year for sure - if not before!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The only thing "wrong" with this property is that the photos do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated, felt very much like "home". Enough nicknacks to make it feel homey and decorated, but not too much. The kitchen is wonderful. 6 of us had a blast cooking birthday dinner and serving it in the gorgeous dining room. The family room is enormous and was perfect for chatting and catching up with our friends. The master is just incredible, and the rest of the bedrooms have comfortable beds and linens. Lots of good towels! EXTREMELY clean. Also, the location was great. Though not on the water, it is very close. We will most definitely return next time we meet in Charleston.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The house is warm, comfortable, and inviting. The back porch is perfect for breakfast and the kitchen has everything you could think of including room for more than 1 cook! The bedrooms are nicely furnished (it was an added bonus to have a tv in each) and spread out so everyone had their own space. The bathroom in the master suite is truly to die for! We spent mornings walking the beach - the beach access is a house and a half away- and it is a beautiful beach great for walking, sunning, snapping photos and/or finding great shells. The location is great - about 30 minutes from the airport, 25 to Charleston proper, and you pass just about anything you might need on the trip in (groceries, CVS, restaurants, sporting goods stores, etc). A friend suggested renting on IOP instead of in Charleston and I'm so very glad we listened. It is quiet, friendly and very much an oasis. We were already discussing when we could come back was we were driving to the airport.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
