Step out the sliding glass door of this ground-level one bedroom condo, walk across the ocean-front lawn past the heated pool, and a few more steps takes you to the beautiful white-powder sands of Keawakapu beach.
Enjoy the ocean view from the lanai - great for whale-watching in the winter. Enjoy the same view from the table as you eat your meals. Or, use one of the barbeques out on the lawn to grill some of the local fish.
The Kihei Surfside is located in South Kihei at the gateway to Wailea. Five minutes drive gets you to the beautiful Shops At Wailea or the Wailea Golf and Tennis Club. Less than a mile up the beach you'll find many shops and restaurants.
On the ocean side, the Surfside has a grassy lawn with a heated swimming pool, barbeques, shuffleboard and a putting green. A short walk around the corner of the building gets you to stunning white sands of Keawakapu Beach. This world-class beach is fronted mostly by executive homes, which leaves it uncrowded by tourists.
The Kihei Surfside is on the ocean front. Most condos in Kihei are across at least one road from the beach. Of the few that do not require you to cross a road, most have the road close behind them, with the inevitable noise. The Surfside is much quieter, because it set back from the road several hundred feet.
The Surfside is adjacent to the Mana Kai Maui Resort hotel to the south, which hosts the Five Palms Beach Grill. Just a few yards further is Sarento's On The Beach restaurant.

There are plenty of crowded resorts and that can be fun, but to be right on the beach, no road to cross, no crowded lobby to navigate, not even any stairs or elevator to take... it is amazing!

Right on the Beach! Ground Floor! Loved it!

We loved staying here at Kihei Sufrside, unit 108. We have two young children, 6 and 8 years who slept on the pull out bed, and it was just perfect for them. The unit was supplied with everything we needed to cook meals in our unit. Our favorite part about this unit is being able to walk straight out of our room onto the large lawn. The kids would wake up in the morning and run outside immediately. The beach is off to the left of the building (if you are facing the ocean). It is so nice to be able to run back to the unit if we want a snack or a drink while we are relaxing on the beach. We saw turtles in the ocean right in front of our building, you must walk across the large grass area and onto the volcanic rock, to the right of this unit (if you are facing the ocean). The turtles come out at 6 pm and feed on the rocks right there!! So cute to see there heads pop out of the water!! The pool is so warm. The people that work there are so nice! Thanks for the memories!!

We love Kihei because this weather is consistently great whereas other parts of the island can have more cloud and rain. Surfside is the perfect place for us for so many reasons...the 1 acre lawn is ideal for walking, soccer, croquet, etc. The pool is 20 steps from our patio, the snorkeling and beach are both A+, and the best golf on the island is 10 minutes away. I can't think of a better place to stay and our kids want to keep going back year after year.

We have been 3 times and had a wonderful time, each time better than the last one. The location on the ground floor with instant access to the pool, BBQ, Shuffle Board and putting green is a real plus. The beach is fantastic. The unit is clean and very well decorated. We are looking forward to our next trip.

Our experience at this condo was just what we were looking for as a family with 2 kids ages 8 and 11. We felt safe to let the kids roam the grass areas where they made quick friends. Being on the ground level made all the difference in allowing our kids freedom to come and go. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was great to have a huge selection of movies in the office so we didn't have to go out to rent any. The laundry facilities were convenient and clean. There is a small convenince store closeby for last minute purchases of BBQ sauce, sunscreen etc. There is a yoga facility within a short walking distance as well. The beach was never crowded and one can walk all the way down through Wailea going south and there is a footpath going North quite a ways as well for walks or a jog. The condo itself was clean, well maintained and provided everything we needed for a great holiday! We've already booked again for next year!

There is an endless amount of fun and good times to be had, if you choose to stay in this remarkable condo. The location is phenomenal. The pool, shuffle board mat, mini golf green, and magnificent lawn are all just outside the door. I would highly recommend staying in this lovely get away abode to anyone.

This groundfloor, oceanfront condo is the best location in South Kihei with a beautiful lawn, shuffleboard, mini-golf, pool and white, sandy beach all just steps away. Kayak and paddle board rentals as well as great restaurants are all walking distance.

A+++ The suite is clean, has an excellent layout, terrific TV, and a big bonus is the internet and telephone are free. You walk right out the patio door to a incredible 1 acre manicured lawn with palm trees, a putting green, shuffleboard, a pool, and BBQ's. A 1 minute walk around the corner is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island as well as incredible snorkeling. Every day we swam with turtles, saw hundreds of fish, and once swam with a manta ray. The golf nearby is incredible. Wailea Gold, Emerald, and Makena North are among the best anywhere. We've been back twice and are going again next year. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

For someone who has tried various Hawaiian locations this is one to come back to again and again. Keawakapu beach, steps away, is a huge draw for anyone who likes to swim in the ocean. The condo is best suited for a couple who can appreciate the comfortable bed, tile floors, well appointed kitchen and access to the lawn in front. Quietness comes from being away from busy roads. The landscaping adds to the restful atmosphere.Free phone and internet is a plus! The property is as much or more than the advertizing claimed.
Recommended for:Age 55+.
