This is a lovely home and in a beautiful countryside. The hot tub is absolutely wonderful! We three couples from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa had a great time here. It was clean, well furnished, and had everything we needed in the kitchen for meals. Thanks for a great time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

What a great surprise. This home is a dream, everything we needed and more. Our family gathered from all corners of WI and MN to celebrate my sibling's 50th birthday together. The kitchen was wonderfully big to gather during meal times. And there is plenty of space to escape if you needed quite time. We took the kids to Grandad’s Bluff and to a corn maze, and on Sunday we sported our Packer attire when we took the La Crosse Queen for a pleasant trip on the river to see the beautiful fall colors. The family is excited to return for another gathering in the future. Thank you Butch, you were wonderful to work with.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway.

This is a great property for privacy and relaxation. Only 3 miles off the river road and DeSoto has two great small restaurants. We took the Mississippi Explorer cruise out of Prairie du Chien, which was great for learning the history of the area. Trees were in awesome fall color. Also spent a day in LaCrosse, which is also full of history and great river views. The house was very clean and larger than we thought. Lots of amenities and Butch was very easy to work with for reservations. We encountered no problems and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway.

House was very clean. 3 couples stayed and we all had our own bathrooms. Everything we needed was already there. We brought our 27' boat and launched at the Blackhawk landing just south of Victory. Nice landing. We boated to Dubuque and back in one day. Great vacation and the house was more than we expected! We will be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Used this property for a small family reunion and it was perfect. Lots of space with a great yard, well maintained with a deck that is out in nature. The photos don't really do it justice. It is located on a tree secluded bluff top above the Mississippi River. Took everybody on the Sunset Nature Cruise out of Prairie du Chien. A great choice. A great low stress vacation!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

This 4 bedroom 3 bath home exceeded our expectations for our family get together. Peaceful location, but still close enough to town. The house had all of the amenities and space that we needed for our group of 11. We hope to visit again.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway.

This place is a gem, the pictures on the internet don't do it justice. It's VERY spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and has lots of windows to enjoy the sunlight. It's out in the country -- even need to drive on about 3/4 mile of gravel to get to it but we were on motorcycles and didn't have any problems with that. It's QUIET, no traffic noise, only birds singing and the distant whistle of the train. Internet service and cell phone service were sketchy but the owner had informed us of that earlier so we were aware of this ahead of booking. Everything we needed was there -- bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, games, charcoal grill and much more than we had expected. We stayed for a week with up to five couples for part of the week, plenty of space for all of us. We were all on motorcycles and never ran out of scenic rides and great ice cream stops. We would recommend this place to anyone and we hope to be back again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The Unique Benefits at this House:
You can stay in a fully furnished home that is just off the beaten path with your entire family rather than staying in a small and cramped hotel room.
