We spent a lovely weekend at this home. Loved the nearby restaurants, the quick walk to the beach, and of course the property itself. It was a beautifully restored place, very roomy,, and the pictures don't do it justice. The location is peaceful and charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would definitely return.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time and couldn't have had better hosts! Thank you for such a great experience! It was a very family friendly location--our toddler loved having the park close by and it was so convenient to have the high chair and crib provided. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home is perfect for two couples. My boyfriend and I stayed here this weekend along with another couple for a wedding in Greenport. Maritza and John were the utmost gracious hosts. We were welcomed with a phone call prior to arrival and a delicious bottle of wine waiting for us on the kitchen table. Maritza and John did not spare on any detail expected of a five star hotel, complete with brochures on local tourist attractions/activities, as well as four bikes for guests to enjoy! The location is centrally located, only a few blocks from Main St and the local vineyards. I would recommend this home to any group of four.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We stayed at John and Maritza's home as we were in town for a wedding. They are lovely owners and really care about their property. I can't say enough amazing things about their home. It was cozy, clean and very comfortable. We were able to walk into town which was fantastic. We took our daughter with us who enjoyed the playground at the end of their street. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful time in greenport and a large part of that was the house. It was so lovely and comfortable and perfectly situated near town and the beach. My son loved walking down the block to the playground right on the beach and riding his scooter into town. There was so much to do and John and maritza were so helpful with advice. They really made us feel welcome and had some lovely touches in the home- a welcome bottle of wine, toiletrie samples in the bathroom and some great books to flip through. You didnt feel like you were going to a home rental where you had to provide every little detail...they offered many of them. I will definitely be back.Did you find this review helpful? I booked this property based on others reviews with somewhat high expectations and yet still being leery and all my expectations were completely exceeded. It is a wonderful location within walking distance to basically everything in the area. J & M were very helpful with explicit directions for the ferry ride to Montauk and getting around the area to the main attractions, the bike were a total added bonus – so fun. Staying here was the best 3 days of our 12 day trip to NY. Kudos!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

About the owner: My husband John and I both enjoyed busy careers for over thirty years in New York City.. John, good with all things mechanical worked both with his hands and in management in the electrical industry. I have always enjoyed understanding people ,art and nature. The Human Resources profession was my passion working with people and extraordinary companies in Fashion, Fine Jewelry, and Art. Together we enjoy making people happy..so here we are, hoping to meet interesting people and doing everything we can to help our guests enjoy their time in our home.
Why the Owner Chose Greenport:
John and I chose Greenport Village because of my love of antiques and wonderful "unspoiled" older homes, while enjoying an innocent and simple quality of life in the Village. John's love of all things in or near the water.. boating, fishing, swimming... fresh seafood....The Long Island Sound and Peconic Bay made it a simple choice with countless activities to enjoy.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Our restored Victorian has taken me back in time to imagine a simpler life ..a little slower pace where we can still just day dream ,enjoy our beautiful garden, listen to all the birds and still stroll through the neighborhood to the Village for all our daily needs.. groceries, shops, books, movie house, restaurants, fresh produce market... marina.. and lots of local events and concerts.
