Great location, quiet yet near the town. Lovely owners and very helpful. We were there before the busy season with 2 small children. Would definitely return to this place when heading back to Greenport.

This was a wonderful place to stay. My two daughters, two grandchildren, and I, stayed here during a short trip to visit relatives. It was a perfect location. The apartment is immaculate and you can see that the owners take great pride in their home. The attention to detail says it all. Thank you John and Maritza for such a pleasant visit and for the delicious bottle of Chardonnay provided, along with a lovely bouquet of flowers awaiting our arrival. I would highly recommend staying here and without any doubt we will be back.
Owner response:Cheryl Thank you so much ! We are grateful and very fortunate to host lovely families like yours. Looking forward to your return stay....we recommend enjoying all the different seasons in Greenport. Summer clamming, dancing in Mitchell Park and berry picking...Fall...beautiful vineyard harvest and Winter ice skating in Mitchell Park.

My husband, toddler daughter and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for 3 nights. Agree with what others have already said, this is a wonderfully decorated, well-equipped, spacious, comfortable and well located apartment. It feels like a real home but it is not littered with the owners' personal items. We felt a complete sense of privacy. The owners were very responsive and gracious from beginning to end. The apt actually looks nicer than in the listing photos. Kitchen has a nice eat-in area that is not shown in the photos. There are two bedrooms, each has its own living room, separated by the kitchen and bathroom in the middle. It could be a nice set-up for 2 couples traveling together, or even a small family plus grandparents. Owner provided a nice clean crib for our daughter and there were children's books and toys. We have stayed in VRBO properties in Europe and N.A., this was among the best.

Me and my wife rented this beautiful two bedroom apartment for the weekend. I didnt know what to expect as it was my first time renting a private property. Wow, thoroughly pleased! Quaint, clean, beautiful, comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed and more. Located minutes walk away from the beach and a minutes drive away from all the main attractions. John and Maritza are extremely nice people to deal with. Definitely coming back here in the summer for another relaxing getaway!

A perfect winter weekend in Greenport, Long Island! The property exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. Charming, elegant, spacious, quiet...delightful. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, the living areas are welcoming and relaxing, and the kitchen is overwhelmingly adorable yet functional. The attention to detail in both decor and comfort is most impressive. We were a party of 4 (two couples) and as soon as we arrived, we were already planning our next visit. We enjoyed the bay in the mornnig (literally a 1 minute walk), the town by day (including a fun tasting at the Greenport Brewery), some wine and relaxation at the apartment in the evening, and wonderful dinners out at night. We wish we could have stayed longer! John, the property owner was accomodating, gracious, and hospitatble from start to finish. The word "stress" was a distant memory. A perfect, memorable weekend for all involved! We can't wait to go back!

What a lovely spot. A little piece of heaven. We had 2 young children and four adults. It was roomy and clean, plus we were provided with just about everything and anything you could think of! This beautifully maintained home is just lovely. John and Maritza were so helpful and gracious. Plus, they listen! I read where the windows had gauze curtains, hence awakening them too early in the morning?? Well, it was taken care of by the time we arrived. They bend over backwards to make you feel at home, and do everything possible to make sure their guests have a pleasant time. What could be better? We loved the short walk to the beach. Plus the town had many places to eat, shop and see. The children loved the carousel! We went for a family wedding, but were rewarded with so much more! Thank you John and Maritza! We would love to come back some day!

We wanted a little escape from New York City for the weekend and John & Maritza's beautiful home exceeded our expectations in every way. We have been to Greenport before but we've never experienced accommodations as nice as this. John, Maritza & Daisy were extremely welcoming and their house is absolutely stunning. There is so much character and charm...from the wide plank wood floors to the vintage details throughout. We loved it.... and in the future we would love stay here again!

We are a family of four (teen/toddler) from Manhattan and wanted an easy getaway without the hassles of an airport, long drive, etc. Maritza and John made our stay ideal! Travel crib was waiting for us (as was a lovely bottle of wine!), the rental was very cozy with everything we needed (linens, full kitchen, pantry, washer/dryer, bikes, beach chairs/umbrella) and we could walk just as easily to the beach and playground at the end of the block as we could to town for great dinners out (Frisky Oyster and Claudio's were wonderful for dinner, and Bruce's for breakfast) easy groceries, park, carousel and our 2-yr old's favorite stop...the Train Museum!!! With 2 separate bedroom and living rooms adjacent to the kitchen/bath and back stairs down to the garden, we are plotting our return for more than a weekend next time!! Loved the vineyards and farmstands to stop at on the way home and will bring our golf clubs next time :) We drove out, but could easily have taken the Long Island Railroad as well.

We spent a lovely week in this beautifully maintained second-floor apartment in our favorite new town. The owners, John and Maritza, are wonderful people, and they did everything they could to make our stay convenient and comfortable, even in the midst of Hurricane Irene. (They provided alternate shelter for us during the storm, and then supplementary power and Wi-Fi in the ensuing power outage.) They were also happy to lend us bicycles for a ride out to the tip of Long Island. We really appreciated the care and attention they put into a place of which they're obviously and rightfully proud. It's a spacious apartment with nice private spaces, great supplies and appliances, a charming porch fronting Fifth Street, and a well-tended and furnished back garden. And it's just one block to the beach. I think most of those who've stayed here came to relax and to enjoy the town and its surroundings, but it is also a great place for a working vacation (like ours). We hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful long weekend in Greenport and loved this property! It is clean, beautifully appointed and the owners were wonderful. There is no picture of the bathroom but it is spacious and has a nice-sized shower stall. We had two adults and two babies there and fit without a problem. We are booking for the same weekend next year! Thank you, John & Maritza

Hosts were so welcoming and helpful! The apartment is a perfect size and very well stocked. Location is excellent, especially if you have children and want to use the park at the end of the street. Only two negatives: not having proper curtains on the windows (face east and gauzy curtains did nothing to prevent the sun in the early morning!) and the street is a bit noisy.
Owner response:We have shades now..for those guests who do not enjoy morning sunshine in our bedrooms.

We went for a mother/daughter long weekend and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The location was perfect with easy access to the town, beaches, train, jitney, wineries, ferry, etc. The apartment was impeccable and beautifully decorated. Loved the private backyard for morning coffee and the front porch for evening cocktails. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The owners could not have been more helpful. They even welcomed our dog with open arms. We highly recommend this rental property.

The apartment is cute and roomy enough for two couples or 1 couple with kids. The house is convenient to the town of Greenport, either by a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. It's also walking distance to a pretty beach and park and driveable to many tasty vineyards. The owners were very friendly and accomodating to us, especially with our little one. We enjoyed a great vacation on the North Folk, plenty of things to keep us busy, wonderful fresh produce, and a comfortable apartment to house us during our stay.

I definitely agree with Alex. There is a dilemma to write a great review because this is a gem which I don't want to share!! We were warmly welcomed by Maritza and John after 2 hours drive from New York City. The place was absolutely immaculate and lovely. My friends and I had a great weekend, having breakfast at The Cheese Emporium which was along Main Street, just 5 mins drive away. After wine tasting at Pindar Vineyard, we made our way to Sag Harbour via Shelter Island and reminisce our childhood with a huge Cotton Candy (from Reddings Market) on the way. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Scrimshaw restaurant. If I ever want to spend another weekend at Greenport, I would love to return again. Maritza & John, I just want to say this again. Your place is beautifully done up. Thanks for everything!
Owner response:Thank you Doreen,we very much enjoyed hosting you and your friends..Please come back again soon..Summer ,Fall and even Winter months in Greenport are just as Dreamy..with the special qualities of the Seasons!!

We spent a lovely weekend at this home. Loved the nearby restaurants, the quick walk to the beach, and of course the property itself. It was a beautifully restored place, very roomy,, and the pictures don't do it justice. The location is peaceful and charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would definitely return.

Two living room areas, one with flatscreen TV and DirectTV. Clean and nice bathroom. So close to the beach with nice park. Walk down to beach with coffee and sit on the dock in the morning. If you are looking for a beautiful property in Greenport this is the place to stay. First, you can't beat the location. It really is just a short stroll to town and you can throw a stone to the beach. I traveled with my husband and two year old and we were more than pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. The apartment was beautifully decorated, very clean and very spacious. There was not one thing I could say wasn't in the apartment or wasn't available for our use. It definitely can fit 4 comfortably. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, the kitchen was great for cooking and the backyard was a great plus as it was fenced in! Very important when traveling with a toddler. Another added plus were the Owners. They could not have been nicer. They were very helpful with providing information about the town and surrounding area and we really felt at home. We send our thanks to them for providing us with a wonderful vacation spot! I would highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again!

I am writing this review after our second visit this summer. The first time at property was July 4th, second time August 7, 2009. The place is great, well kept and has every little thing you can think you may need while away from your own place. House is owner occupied. Maritza and John - the owners are extremely nice and getting out of their way to make you enjoy your stay. You need an advise on dining ot getting arround, want to do some kayaking or use bikes to get around...just name it. This being said you have your total privacy, enjoy BB in separate manucured fenced yard, ets. Almost forgot, the beach is 3-4 minutes away. OK now i start worry that want be able to find an opening next time want to go :))) Anyway, I recommend this place if you want a quet get-away.
Owner response:Thank you Alex..we are very grateful that our first guests with homeaway.com have already returned to enjoy our home again...within one month and three days..! We enjoyed hosting you and your friends and family. Come back again soom.. Maritza & John
