Our four-day trip was an opportunity to reconnect with family we hadn't seen in some time, so we were looking for a place large enough to provide us with comfortable space for catching up but yet provide each couple with their own room and bath. Pine Cabin was everything we needed and wanted. We enjoyed the wrap-around porch and living room fireplace for wine and cheese and gabbing. The kitchen had everything we needed pots/pans/dishes-wise and there was an assortment of spices, foil, plastic wrap and the like as well. Appliances worked well. We prepared all breakfasts and dinners at the cabin. Beds were comfy and the showers just wonderful (large and decent water pressure). We prefer remote locations and while this was not as remote as some places we've been, we were happy with the views of trees and farms from the porches. It was beautifully quiet, aside from chirping birds and the occasional gobbling turkey. Those wanting access to restaurants, shops, etc. will find it easily in Pine Mountain or Manchester towns. Columbus is only 30 miles away if you really have a city craving. Access to Callaway Gardens, FDR state park and other attractions was simple and a pleasant ride. There were enough channels on the satellite TV to satisfy and the internet access was easy. Mother Nature had other ideas than what we wanted weather-wise, but during the crazy rain/wind/thunderstorm that occured one night we were cozy and comfortable. Pine Cabin suited our needs to a T. The cabin is gorgeous - we find log homes and all the wood to be very soothing. There are lots of rockers on the porches and comfortable seating inside. We highly recommend Pine Cabin for those seeking an away-from-it-all break. Patrick was a pleasure to work with and truly wants your visit to be a good one.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

thanks pat for sharing your special cabin w/ us. we rent often from vrbo and i must say your place is up @ the top of our list. you cannot find a better place to stay. as i drove from north atlanta, i could feel the layers of stress peeling back. as avid hikers, i do wish the trails on the land had been better marked :-( BUT, we still had a great time walking from the home close by, each day. you will sleep like a baby! safe, secure. beautiful home. we'll be back. you were awesome to rent from pat. talk about great communication. DON'T MISS THIS FIND! p.s loved southern lunch @ bulloch house in nearby warm springs. will hike @ FDR park next year when we come back here :-) gRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

A great stress reliever. Isolated, yet convenient to many attractions. We all decided we want to return here in the future for another vacation. The floor plan is open, equipped with great appliances, and the large property surrounding the cabin is ideal for walking and watching the wildlife. Very peaceful and secure.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed 3 nights at this terrific Log Cabin and wished we could have spent more! The property is First Class! More than enough room to accommodate eight persons! Nearby is the Historical site where President FDR stayed and utilized the Warm Springs Health Center. If you are searching for a short getaway or a longer visit, this secure site overlooks hundeds of forested acres on rolling hills!Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: I became interested in timberland about four years ago. I grew up in Great Falls, Virginia and the Georgia fall line at the Pine Mountains reminds me of that area.
Why the Owner Chose Pine Mountain:
Many of my friends talked about getting away for the weekend to someplace secluded. Not to a resort or other tourist attraction but to someplace undeveloped with lots of space. So I built this house and it has been a great success.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This solid log home has views North and South for 7 miles. It is on 175 acres of timberland in one of the least populated and undeveloped counties in Georgia. It is only 100 miles from Atlanta.
