Modern, two-story, 6-bedroom 4-bath home with fully equipped gourmet kitchen and large, two-level deck. Upstairs master suite has a king bed, soaking tub, double shower and double sinks. Two additional queen-bedded rooms on the second floor share a second bathroom.
First-floor master bedroom has queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower. Additional first floor bedrooms have a queen and two twin beds and share the fourth full bathroom.
Our house is north of San Francisco, on Seaview Ridge in Sonoma County. The house is about 2 miles from the ocean and has a spectacular 180-degree ocean view. It sits on 7 acres of property so is very private. There is lots of hiking nearby, and it's a 20-minute drive to beaches where you can picnic, kayak, dive (scuba or free-dive for abalone in season), gather mussels, etc.
You can also sit on the deck and gaze at the ocean. There are 3 golf courses within a 1-hour drive. Sonoma County wineries (Dry Creek, Russian River and Alexander Valley areas) are a 90-minute drive away.

This house was perfect for our family’s needs. With ten adults and two small children, we appreciated having four bathrooms and six bedrooms. The connected main living area and large kitchen with surrounding deck provided a natural gathering space for family meals and conversation, with enough space for people to find quiet places to read. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen!! Several family members made use of the sauna and jacuzzi as well. The surrounding area was beautiful, not to mention the stars at night. The only downside for us was having to drive a bit to get to parks, a coffee shop or grocery store.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.

This house was perfect for our week-long family reunion (5 couples plus 2 toddlers). The location is beautiful and secluded. The house is spacious and comfortable, with a thoughtful and very functional layout. The common space, in particular, has a large kitchen opening out into the dining / living area. Multiple people can cook while socializing with others in the dining / living area. We enjoyed preparing and enjoying gourmet meals. The wraparound porch and sauna were also very pleasant. I had read in a previous review that the house was well-appointed, but I was very surprised at just how many "accessories" were available: from trash bags to extra soap, to folding chairs, to electric blankets, and a patio umbrella. The kitchen, in particular, was fully stocked with everything you might need: a bread maker, food processor, spices and other pantry items, good sharp knives, serving platters, you name it. (We were glad we brought our own high chair - although maybe it was there, and we just didn't see it!) Highlights of our nearby activities were bicycling on nearby roads and trails, and visiting tidepools at Salt Point and other beaches. The owners were prompt, helpful, honest, and accommodating. The property is well-maintained, and I would recommend it. A few advisories: -Location: The drive to the closest "civilization" (Guerneville) is over an hour - which suited us. All roads are paved, but with lots of twists and turns. The drive is 3+ hours from SFO without traffic, of which the second half is on small, curvy roads. -The construction quality and furnishings are more like a "cabin" than a "hotel" - but we found this appropriate to the setting and to our needs. (We were glad we didn't have to child-proof too much) -Weather: We were there for a week in July, and the weather was sunny for 2 days. Remaining days were a mix of fog and sun. Temperatures on foggy mornings were 48 to 50 degrees. Fog tended to clear around 11 to 12 and return after sundown. Afternoon temperatures were in the low 70s on mixed days and mid-70s on full-sun days. The ocean was visible on sunny days but not on foggy days. Enjoy!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a large party (6 couples + 1 toddler) and were looking for a quiet place to get away from it all and cook some nice dinners and drink some good wines amid the beautiful scenery of the Northern California Coast. I'm glad that we picked this house as everyone had their own bedroom. The kitchen was clean, well appointed (knives, appliances, etc...) and well stocked (paper towels, zip lock bags, etc...). Several people in our group took advantage of the hot tub and the sauna which were a joy. If you visit, be sure to check out Salt Point State Park at low tide. We spent hours spotting creatures in the tidal pools. A very pleasant vacation rental experience...Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
