PANAMA CITY BEACH - This charming, beachfront house sits directly on a seawall with only dunes and sea oats standing between you and the crystal white sands of Panama City Beach. Follow the private, tropical path from our large outdoor patio and in seconds you’re there, toes in the sand and warm Gulf waters stretching out before you.

Located on “the world’s most beautiful beach,” “The Outpost” was purchased as a family retreat by a former Commanding General of Fort Rucker, Alabama and his wife. Now under the care and management of their sons, “The Outpost” is available for your own troops to enjoy too.

Three bedrooms and three baths provide ample room for large families or groups. The third bedroom is a unique "in law"-style suite with its own private entry—perfect for a nanny or babysitter or anyone desiring a little more independence during their stay.

The master suite features a king-size bed, television, private bath and a private seating area. In addition to 3 bedrooms there are 2, twin-size day beds on the enclosed, gulf-front Florida room and another full-size bed in a separate sleeping room. “The Outpost” can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. Plenty of natural light and overhead ceiling fans give the bedrooms an open and inviting feel.

The dining room is equipped with a large formal dining table, a buffet and lots of natural light. Seat up to eight for a sit-down dinner or enjoy a family-style buffet for as many as you like. The breakfast bar offers seating for two additional people. Overflow seating is available at a second dining table in the sunroom.

The living room is comfortably furnished with easy chairs, a sofa and entertainment options including a television and DVD/VCR. Step directly from the living room into a large, attractive sunroom with 2 "summer beds" for quiet afternoon naps as well as chaise lounges, chairs and a second dining table for games and activities. Screened windows on all sides and quiet overhead fans make it the perfect spot for reading, conversation or just relaxing.

Ready for some fresh air? An extra-large outdoor patio, complete with a Mexican tile table with umbrella and benches, 6 large Adirondack chairs and an outdoor grill provides plenty of room to sit back with friends and family to watch the dolphins as they swim by in the early morning hours or enjoy a magnificent sunset and the soft tropical breezes.

"The Outpost" is centrally located about 1/4 of a mile from where Front Beach meets Middle Beach (also known as Hutchison Boulevard). Shopping, dining, sight-seeing and a variety of recreational venues are right nearby. Guests may even choose to leave the car in the double drive and ride the Trolley (there’s a stop just a few yards from the house).
