"The Outpost" provides everything a perfect florida vacation and a memorable trip to "the world's Most Beautiful Beach" - Panama City Beach offers plus more. The outpost is a laid back,care free, no crowds, no waiting line, Jimmy Buffet kind of place to refresh, relax and restore. Our guests don't have to drip dry as they wait for a crowded elevator. They don't have to engage in one of the typical tourists challenges otherwise known as the deck chair relay nor do they have to take one of the all to dreaded hikes from the parking garage after a long day golfing or sight seeing.
Our guests enjoy freedom from crowds, privacy, spacious surroundings inside and out, convenient location, breath taking beach and gulf views and comfortable furnishings. The house sits directly on a seawall with only dunes and seaoats separating the patio from the crystal white sands of Panama City Beach. Follow the private, tropical path from the patio, just a few feet as you prepare to be amazed by the indescriable beauty that awaits. Guests agree, this is the reason for coming!
"The Outpost" is centrally located about 1/4 of a mile from where Front Beach meets Middle Beach, also known as Hutchison Boulevard. Shopping, dining, sight seeing and recreational venues are easily and quickly accessed from "The Outpost" Guests may even choose to leave the car in the double drive and as they ride the Trolley. There is a stop within a few yards from the house.
Three bedrooms and three baths, provides ample room for large families or groups to enjoy quality time together. The third bedroom suite is a unique "in law" style with private entry. This is a great feature for someone desiring a little more independence during the trip. The Master suite offers a king size bed, television, private bath, a private seating area, ideal for intimate morning chats or coffee and daily devotions. The bedrooms have natural light, due to the several windows and overhead ceiling fans. In addition to three bedrooms, The Outpost offers two, twin size day beds in the gulf front, enclosed Florida room and another full size bed in a separate sleeping room. The Outpost can comfortably accomodate a family of twelve.
There is a full size washer and dryer and even a old time, Clothes line. The dining room is equipped with a large formal dining table and chairs, a buffet and more windows. The breakfast bar offers seating for two additional people. It is possible to seat up to eight for a formal
dinner or a Sunday afternoon family style buffet. Overflow seating is available at the dining table in the sunroom.
The Living room is furnished with comfortable chairs, a sofa, easy chair with ottoman, television, and dvd/vcr. Step out from the living room to the large, attractive sunroom. This special place is large enough for a variety of functions. It is furnished with an additional dining table, 2 unique "summer beds" or chaise lounges and chairs. With screened windows on every side and overhead fans, the sunroom is a wonderful place!
Step out from the Sunroom to the extra large patio. With a mexian tile table and benches, 6 large, sturdy adirondack chairs and plenty of room for more the surfside, patio is the perfect spot for grilling a filet or a burger, watching dolphins as they swim by during early morning hours or sharing a chilled beverage with special people in the evening as the sunsets over the western horizon.

Three sons inherited the Outpost in 2008. The brothers visit the Outpost frequently with their families.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Our parents purchased the Outpost in the early 70's when our father was the Commanding General of Ft. Rucker, Alabama. We've had many happy memories at the Outpost.

It is really right on the beach, along with 30 other homes at the same location. It's unique given the number of large hotels that have been built over the years at Panama City Beach.
