The Country Holiday Home 'il Pioppo di Petroio' is located on the Florentine Mountains (Montagna Fiorentina), immersed in the green landscape of the Tuscan countryside around Florence, between olive trees and secular woods.
The property was obtained from the complete restoration of an typical ancient Tuscan farmhouse and its hayloft, that created a sole building. The house (but the house can be divided in two independent apartments) has been restored in the respects of the original architecture.
Our holiday home is just 4 km from Londa (all kinds of shops, tennis, small man-made lake, park visitor centre of the Casentinesi forests - walking excursions and mountain biking, medieval feast in summer), and only 38 km from Florence (about 40 minutes by car).
The swimming pool of Ponte a Vicchio is only 16 km away from il Pioppo: as our guest you get the first entrance free, then you'll get a discount of 50% on the ticket (you pay 3 Euros for the whole day). In the same sport complex you can find horseback riding, arc shooting lessons, mountain bike rental. Tennis courts are also nearby.
Farmhouse (180 m2 - sleeps 10):
Ground Floor: charming living room (satellite TV) with beautiful original wooden ceiling, old-fashioned wood burning oven and fireplace, kitchen/dining room (oven, freezer), one small bedroom with a small double bed (160 cm).
First Floor: two double bedrooms one of which is big and one with beds that can be separated, two bathrooms with shower one of which is very small. It is possible to add an additional sleeping space to be requested at the time of booking and to be paid for on the spot.
From a separate entrance:
Ground Floor: living/dining room (satellite TV) with access to the outside and kitchen corner (oven, freezer), small laundry room (sink), one bathroom with shower.
Mezzanine Floor: one small twin bedded room.
First Floor: one large double bedroom, one bathroom with shower. Equipped garden (approx. 55 m2) partly paved.
