Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2000

I have lived most of my life in Colorado and I love Leadville. I want to share my love of Colorado and Leadville with other people. I fell in love with this house when I saw it, and remodeled and decorated this property myself with the idea of promoting a love of the past. I love the history of the Great American West, the pioneers, and the special legacy Leadville's mining past. I hope you will love Leadville and its people as much as I do! This is the American West and small town living at it's best!

Why the Owner Chose Leadville

This property is so interesting and historic that I wanted to preserve it in its original form. It took a lot of work and sweat equity to transform the place. It was fun and challenging. I believe people who stay here will have a chance to meet authentic locals and experience life the way it once was. The house brings you back in time. You can imagine what it was like to live long ago. Leadville offers a small town experience from 100 years ago. You can't beat it!

The Unique Benefits of this House

You will love staying in an old house, with a Victorian past. The house is cozy and comfortable. It used to be an old stagecoach stop! You will enjoy walking the neighborhood just to look at the old houses and shops on Harrison Ave. Look right out the door to see Mt. Massive and other mountain peaks. You are right in the middle of something greater than the human experience. Leadville has become a center for Xtreme sports and great individualism and independent people! The experience is awesome!
