It was nice and perfect for our family of 7. The place was near shopping area and just a short distance to drive to all the attractions: Olympic Park, Stampe Park, etc.... We enjoyed the place, nice to have a big kitchen. We didn't do much of cooking but may be one or twice and it has had all the stuffs for us to use including the BBQ. Will for sure to book it again when we go back there (we have family live in Calgary). The owners are very nice to work with. Thank you Susan and Jacque.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Great to hear that you all enjoyed your stay, the convenience of its location, etc. Thanks for taking your time leave us a feedback, we would definitely love to see you all again in the future.

We stayed here in July 2012 for 10 days as a group of our family came out to Calgary for our sons wedding in Okotoks. Susan's home is wonderful a real home from home and with everything you need and clean and well looked after, and all the pictures reflect what you will see on arrival. There was 10 of us and plenty of space in the living area no to be on top of one another, considering my daughter was the youngest at 16. There is a beautiful crib for anyone coming with a baby Susan is very quick to respond to any queries or questions you may have... We have lived in and around Calgary so are aware where stores etc are. But for someone's first visit it is well placed to the C train and local stores for groceries and less than 2 hours and your in Banff. or stop in Calaway Park on the way to Banff A trip up the Calgary Tower is a must to experience lunch or dinner in the revolving restaurant or just the 360' view on a sunny day. A drive to Saskatoon Farm a 30ish minutes, south on highway 2, and there home-made cooking. Other good day out for in and around Calgary are Drumheller, Hertiage park which is a 10 minute drive. The Broken Plate Restaurant is a 5 minute walk which, will need to be booked in most cases. There is a BBQ out back which we used a few evenings, but it is quite noisy out back as it backs on to quite a busy street, but for someone who doesnt live in a city it could be quite annoying if your not used to that. The neighboured hood the house is in,is pleasant and the neighbours always said hello if we saw them There is a ping pong table in the basement which my nephews and daughter had fun with. I was a little disappionted with the basement as it would be nice if it is renovated as the rest of the home is so lovely... We did have one problem the up stairs bathroom the toilet kept blocking, but luckily my dad is a plumber so did sort if for us, so we didn't have to contact Susan We would highly recommend Susans home and will use again when we next come and visit our son. Thank you SusanRecommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.

We rented this home for a week. Our party included grandparents and school aged children and the home perfectly accomodated our needs. The interior of the home was clean and nicely decorated, kitchen was well-equipped. My parents were amazed at how quiet the neighborhood was at night. The house was located conveniently near shopping centers and restaurants, and allowed for easy access to tourist attractions in the city. If we were to return to the Calgary area, we would rent this home again. We also would recommend this property to others.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks for your nice comments and glad three generation of your family enjoyed our vacation home and the convenience of its location, thanks for leaving the house clean and tidy, it saved our cleaning lady a lot time. Hope to see you all again some time in the near future!!

This was our first VRBO and we were extremely happy with our experience. Calgary is our family meeting place. We have a great family gathering and enjoyed this lovley house. Our combined five children felt very much at home and we were all able to relax and enjoy each other's company. So much better than a hotel for this occasion. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was well equiped and everything was as described in the listing. The train ride into the city was easy. We appreciated the parking spaces. We had a fabulous meal at Earls. There is some terrific restaurants within walking distance as well as a spectacular wine store. We would definately stay here again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This was a very lovely home with lots of personality and characters! We had total 9 adults. We had plenty of room for sleeping, showering, making and eating food and gathering in the living room. The dining room and the kitchen were big and perfect for what we needed. We used the washer and dryer even the gas BBQ out in backyard. I loved sitting in the treed backyard with my morning coffee. It was so peaceful. We had no parking issues at all. We utilized long driveway, which fits 4 cars. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. We also love the location, walking distance to Super Store, Shopping Mall, LRT station. The owners are so kind and return emails and return our calls promptly. I would not hesitate to go back here again. I highly recommend it for all ages.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had a horrible experience at this VRBO. We have registered a formal complaint. We were meeting family in Calgary and thought it would be great to stay in one house. When we arrived the house was dirty. The kitchen was filthy, the doors throughout the house were sticky and dirty - I had to clean the house. The owner (Susan) called to say there was a "leak" in the ceiling above the back door but it would not affect us. My son was having a shower and the ceiling above the back door literally collapsed (I have pictures). We called the owner and he came the next day - we cleaned up the flood. We had to leave the house for the day because he had to fix the ceiling. He admitted the house was dirty and smelled like cat pee. He said we should be compensated by receiving 1 night free and our cleaning fee back. We agreed. He took the carpets that smelled like urine out of the basement. We tried to make the best of the situation because we wanted to spend time together. After we left I emailed the owner and she said she would not give any compensation unless I posted something positive in the reviews. I told her it wasn't a positive experience but I said I wouldn't post anything if she just refunded what she agreed to. She refused to give a refund. She was rude and, she lied and said she never said we had to post anything. Then she refused to do anything and will not answer any emails. The whole thing was a horrible experience. The house smelled so bad it was disgusting. We would have left but there was a huge conference in Calgary and no other place to stay. The husband seemed reasonable but it was impossible to deal with Susan. She even went to the extent of trying to deny everything even though it's all in emails she sent! A very difficult woman to deal with - she just didn't get it. We will continue to pursue getting a refund but we are not holding our breath! It's pretty hard to deal with a person that won't even respond to emails etc. We have had great experiences at other VRBO's but we do not recommend this to anyone.Owner response: We have been in vacation home business for many years and we are very proud of our vcation homes, also enjoy the appreciation from our past/return guests. We had the highest numbers ( over 30) of POSITIVE feedbacks. We repect our guests also listen to their opinions. However we had this paticular guest, rented our south property for THREE nights, and demands a REFUND! Myself personally checked the house after the cleaning lady finished to make sure it is clean and tidy. We did had a leaking in the bathroom during the prior guests' stay, I called right after the guests arrival, telling them the leak has been fixed, and we also opened the dry wall a bit to get the extra moisture out, the dry wall will be replaced after they check out as we don't want to disturb their stay. We also sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. They were totally okay and stay three days and have a big party. But once they checked out, our house will be described as " heath hazard""Mold", " Not livable"" dirty", etc. And they demanded a REFUND! We have no problem to refund or to do whatever to make our guests happy. However we are very upset to read all the comment they emailed us, the stories they made up, within a few weeks time, we have emailed each other 20-30 emails, each time we will be criticised as "lier" Unethical""deny", "Dishonest", etc. Finally we had enough and decide not to deal with her. As none of the stories she made up make any sense. The words she used in very HURTFUL. We are very grateful for past so many years we never had guests/comments like this and we will continue to serve our happy renters with our best effort!

We stayed at Susan and Jacque's NW home last year, and this home in SW Calgary this year. Both are very well looked after, and well equipped. We especially enjoyed the mature trees in the wonderful fenced back yard of this home. The neighborhood is very quiet, and and close to many amenities. We would gladly stay here again!Owner response: It is always nice to hear back from our past/repeat guest. Thank you so much for taking your time and left us a feedback. We cannot be more happy to hear that you enjoyed our vacation home and wanted to book a week in July next year. Thanks again and see you both soon!
