Our Rustic Cabin is surrounded by pines and cedars and sits on the 13th tee of the Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course. It has 3 decks. The rear deck is covered and looks directly at the golf course. The front deck opens up the the bar and the small master bedroom deck has a view of the 12 hole.
The open floor plan offers plenty of space for entertaining or just lounging around. The vaulted ceiling and massive stone fireplace give the feel of an exclusive alpine lodge. Our library is stocked with classic literature and picture books. The dining room is spacious and the kitchen is fully furnished with large and small appliances and utensils. This is not an economy cabin. You don't have to bring your own bedding and towels. Everything imaginable is provided.
The large master bedroom has a king size bed, the spare room has 1 bunk, 1 twin bed and a rool-away bed. There is also a separate room adjacent to the garage with a sofa bed. The large sectional couch in the living room can sleep 2.
Pine Mountain Lake is a great family place! Golf, swim, fish, hike, bike, explore Yosemite. Horseback riding available and stables for rent for horse owners. Miles of horse trails and great barn and arena. Why the Owner Chose Groveland
We purchased this cabin in Pine Mountain Lake after looking extensively for a mountain home with acreage to bring our horses to for long weekends and vacations. The close proximity to snow skiing, PML's Stable, hundreds of acres of trails, golf, boating, fishing, tennis, plus all the other family friendly activities made it a better choice for a vacation home for a family with young children. Once we picked PML as the place to purchase, we looked at many listings narrowing down our choice to 2 Golf Course homes. We ultimately decided on this home due to it's Rustic and Old Fashion Cabin style.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Our home in PML is a 70's decorated mountain cabin in a gated community on the 13th tee of a beautiful golf course. The fireplace is stunning and gives the home it's character. The cabin seems all original from the shag carpet and Formica counter tops to the wagon wheel lights and cozy bar. The rear and master bedroom decks look out over the links that golfers share with deer, fox and other wildlife. Cedar and pine trees surround the cabin providing the wonderful mountain fragrance.

We are an active family of 3. My wife and 10 year old daughter enjoy outdoor activities such as snow skiing, hiking, fishing and horse back riding. We have a 4 year old German Shepherd who goes every where with us.

First of All like to thanks owner Tom for allowing us to stay at there property. The property looks rustic from outside but I loved the way it looked. Once entered inside you will be amazed to find that everything was present as promised and mentioned. The property has all the amenities and all the electronic gizmos for party people, The bose stero with ipod dock and sitting bar made our party rock. The place has tons of space. As said it easily easily fits 10 people. The house was very clean and kitchen is well stocked. The owner is very helpful and responsive. We where 10 people and not a single one complained abt anything. We will be definately coming next year again to this property.

We are just back from vacations in California and spent three nights in this cabin and would go back tomorrow if we could. The setting of the house just charmed us with the nice neighberhood (private resort), the big pines around, the golf course in the backyard and even the deers walking around everyday. The cleaning person was leaving the house when we arrived so we had a clean bed, towels and everything. The interior of the house made us feel in a big ski chalet and provided everything needed (dishwasher, washer and dryer, etc.). We enjoyed walking five minutes to go the nice small beach with our young daughter. From the house we also drove to Yosemite without problems. The owner, Mr. Edwards (I call him Tom now), was very nice for all the arrangements like leaving the keys at our hotel in Castro Valley, etc and I thank him very much for letting us enjoy his special place and all the kindness in his correspondance with me. PS: There is a nice small market in Groveland, just 5 minutes driving from the house. We enjoyed doing some grocery there, we felt part of the village.

Tom, owner, is great to communicate with Tom, owner, is a great communicator and aways took questions or concerns prior to arrival seriously and got back to me quickly. Very cozy house. Took 8-mile hike in Yosemite today and felt fortunate to be coming home here (hot shower,comfortable house, right on the golf source), instead of Curry Village. Thanks,Tom. Your place is great and we're loving it. Looking forward to a turn trip!
