The property is in the shadow of massive "Columbia" mountain with "TeaKettle" mountain on the other side. Hungry Horse is also where the South Fork River joins the main Flathead river and a 1/2 mile walk takes you to the confluence which is good fly fishing. 1/3 of a mile walk through the woods takes you to a sandy "beach" along the green South Fork river. The HuckleberryLand Jam and Chocolate factory is in front of the home and is a fun place to shop, eat Huckleberry Pie or watch the Jam being canned. Hungry Horse has all the conveniences of a small town but is remote enough that bear, moose and deer come right into town every now and then.
Hungry Horse is perfectly situated near Glacier Park, the Great Bear Wilderness, and is 20 miles from the city of Kalispell and 15 miles from the ski resort town of Whitefish. This house has 90% of all the cool stuff the other VRBO homes has but is half the price since I just got it listed July 6 and am keeping the price low initially to get started. Property has a big private yard.

- Hungry Horse hosts a 4 wheeler and Motorcycle track and is 5 miles away from the Hungry Horse Dam which is surrounded by thousands of acres of forest service and wilderness lands. There is a great swimming lake one mile away and good Huckleberry picking and fly fishing nearby. Home is right nearby the HuckLand Jam Factory and gift and T-shirt superstore which is a favorite milkshake, burger, and Huckleberry Pie hotspot. Beautiful "Great Northern" mountain can be seen from HuckLand.

Year Purchased: 2002
I was raised in Hungry Horse but have travelled to over 30 countries in Christian mission work. I met my South Korean wife while serving in Africa. I like to fish and hunt and have three kids. We play music together and have a travelling band. My son is getting famous as an athlete so I travel around the country with him. People call me a type A person because I am very active and built the HuckleberryLand tourist destination from scratch.
