  Myself and seven of my friends stayed at the Grape Escape this past weekend while attending a wedding in Healdsburg. Let's just say it was tough to make it to the ceremony the house and property were so nice! The house slept 8 very comfortably. Everything was as described and very clean and pristine. Perhaps what we enjoyed most was the large porch with beautiful view of gardens, vines, and typical Sonoma County landscape. The grill worked great, hot tub was warm and clean, all appliances and amenities worked as described. Included were such things as iPod speakers, board games, and all the cookware you could need. The house was quite private located down a long road, but within minutes of many popular vineyards via car. On the morning of our last day, Virgil, the owner stopped in to check on us to make sure everything was going well. The communication between us and the owners throughout the whole rental process was very easy, and they were very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

  This house, as in all the reviews, is impeccable. Perfect size for our group of six women. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was very well laid out and easily accessible. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely rent this spot again!! Thank you Carol and VIrgil.

  Grape Escape is the perfect name for this lovely vacation home! Not only is the home tucked away down a narrow country lane, but it sits in the midst of the vineyards with beautiful views on all sides! Yet, we were just a few minutes from the square at Healdsburg and had easy access to anything we wanted to see or do! The home was a perfect venue for six friends ......enough space to spread out and a living room and kitchen that invited us to simply relax and enjoy. We loved the kitchen and cooked most of our meals in the home.......it is very well equipped and as others have stated, check out the supplies before you purchase too much. Grape Escape feels like a home not just a vacation rental. The owners checked on us after arrival, left us a lovely bouquet of flowers and even had fresh fruit in a bowl on the kitchen table! None of us wanted to leave when our visit came to an end!

  My family spent Christmas at the Grape Escape and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful, clean and just as represented in the pictures. The kitchen was well-stocked (if you can't find something, keep looking). The house was extremely family and pet friendly. My two children loved exploring the house, the jacuzzi and taking long walks. Our dogs enjoyed the yard and the surrounding area. Downtown Healdsburg is close enough that it is convenient, but the house feels secluded. We picked up take-out several times from local restaurants. The local grocery store had an amazing selection of food and produce. We highly recommend the house and we'll be back. Carol and Virgil are great hosts.

  Carol and Virgil took great care in presenting a beautiful, warm, friendly and clean environment and we can not thank them enough for thier hospitality. Virgil invited us to participate in helping with pressing the grapes into wine and then treated us to a barrel tasting. We learned a lot, and enjoyed the time with the wine club members. The home itself is layed out to accomodate several people and includes a large back porch that feels like an extension of the home. The views of the surrounding vineyards was stunning. Yup, we'll be back!

  I would definitely recommend The New Grape Escape for a relaxing vacation in the Healdsburg area! The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware an dishes, and there is a nice grocery store only about a couple of miles from the house. We enjoyed wine tasting at numerous wineries, and also had fun on a canoe trip down the Russian River, for those of us who were more adventurous. The owners, Carol and Virgil, were welcoming and available to answer any questions we had. It was a great time!

  We just returned from Sonoma County and had a magical time! We are 3 couples that have traveled around the world together. There is so much to see and do in this area and at the end of a long day of touring we loved relaxing in this house. It is very comfortable, clean and well-stocked. The pictures here are absolutely accurate. The gardens attract birds of all types plus the vegetables and fruits are available for eating! Do not go to the grocery before taking a survey of what is at the house already. Just about any spice, oil or condiment that you want is there. The kitchen is great for cooking and a grill outside makes eating in very easy. Carole and Virgil, the owners, live on the property and are therefore very accessible. They had great recommendations for wineries, restaurants and sightseeing. Don't miss their private barrel tasting that is offered on request. Here is my don't miss list - Mazzocco Winery is just minutes up the road and the Beasleys sell their grapes to them. Sonoma-Cutre and Rodney Strong were also some of our favorite wineries. Bodega Bay is a nice day trip as is the Culinary Institute of America is St. Helena. At the Culinary Institute they have tours to tell you about the history of the building and a fabulous restaurant. We asked for a student-run table and were very pleased. All-in-all it was a great experience!

  Our family including 6 adults, one toddler and one very large dog had a fabulous time at the Grape Valley Escape. The home is lovely, with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, the backyard and deck are amazing and I have never been in such a well equiped kitchen. The owners Carol and Virgil made us feel very welcome and were kind enough to let us taste some of Virgil's beautiful wines. If you are looking for a place for a family get together, I would strongly recommend this home.

  We styed 4 nights at the Grape Escape and absolutely loved the place. The website pictures do not do it justice-- it is truly charming and the grounds are beautiful. Amazing deck, garden with beautiful flowers, and the beds were cozy and comfortable. Upon arrival, the owners had a beautiful arrangement of flowers from the garden (they smelled wonderful) and a bottle of wine waiting for us, music playing.... we could not have found a better place. Just far enough from the center of town to feel removed and relaxed, yet only minutes driving to restaurants, etc. A+ :). (Also met the owners briefly and they were very friendly!)

  We can't thank Carol or Virgil enough for the time we spent here. We rented the house as a get away for my mothers birthday. The location, the ambiance, and the setting were perfect. If you get the chance, make friends with the little black cat while enjoying a glass of wine on the back deck! The kitchen is fantastic for entertaining and the house is as comfortable as can be. We look forward to coming back!
