Jim and I have lived in Central Virginia the majority of our 29 years of marriage. We are surrounded by the beauty of nature, from the flowing James River below to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. It is our hope that your stay at "Snowdonia on the James" will give you a glimpse of our "piece of heaven on earth".

    • We stayed at the cottage last weekend and were overwhelmed at how beautiful the place is. The pictures really don't do it justice! It's right on the water and the tree frogs and cicadas sing you to sleep at night. During the day, you can see the James River rafters moving down stream from your porch view. The place has a full kitchen and the Scottsville farmers market is right down the road. Great little retreat!
