We are surrounded by the beauty of nature, from the flowing James River below to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. We stayed at Snowdonia for a nice long weekend. The home is beautiful and very well taken care of. The setting is what you will be looking for if you want peace and quiet. We were able to see deer every morning from our windows. From Snowdonia we visited Monticello, Montpellier, and drove to one of the many wineries in the area for a wine tasting. You won't be disappointed!! Gary and Eileen

We stayed at Snowdonia on the James in May 2010. It was the perfect retreat for two. We wanted to just get away from it all and this cabin provided just that. The cabin is newly built and had everything we needed during our stay. We loved just sitting on the porch and enjoying the peace and quiet.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway.

We stayed at the cottage last weekend and were overwhelmed at how beautiful the place is. The pictures really don't do it justice! It's right on the water and the tree frogs and cicadas sing you to sleep at night. During the day, you can see the James River rafters moving down stream from your porch view. The place has a full kitchen and the Scottsville farmers market is right down the road. Great little retreat!
