Why the Owner Chose Koloa
We chose Unit #425 because it was an End Unit on the 2nd floor to capture and take full advantage of the trade winds that naturally cool the unit and also because of the great quiet and Romantic garden location.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
There is a new and beautiful swimming and tennis facility and 10 courts have recently been added. The new pool features a sand beach at one end and a fun slide for hours of fun for kids and grown-ups alike.
There is a beach hut onsite where you can rent snorkel equipment and boogie boards and other beach necessities. Surfing lessons are offered several mornings a week on the beach which our Grandaughter took full advantage of. Beach chairs and towels are provided free-of-charge at the beach hut. Also,there is a new gas barbeque located at the end of the parking area for your use. This is an excellent place to meet and talk with other guests staying at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort. Lots of Wonderful restaurants are within an easy stroll of the property. For the Golf lovers there is a Beautiful course the Kiahuna Golf Course 18 hole, par 72 championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr .The Resturant Joe's on the Green has wonderful outdoor views and great food and both are located just a short stroll across the street

We found a charming jem on a beautifully landscaped property here at Kiahuna Plantation. This condo was perfect for our get-a-way with the very private end unit location that captured cool breezes from the bedroom and the living area. The natural tones in the newly remodeled space were very soothing and classy. After returning from the Kalalau Trail hiking 26 miles, this condo felt SO comfortable. The pool/spa accross the street was so refreshing and the restaurant and bar there is perfect for happy hour! My boyfriend and I returned as an engaged couple and we will be going back next year and staying in this lovely, little JEM!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My wife and I spent 4 pleasant nights in this unit, which is in great condition with granite countertops, marble flooring and shower, very nice linens, kitchenware, LCD TV, etc. Naturally air conditioned by tropical breezes and complete with a covered lanai overlooking beautifully manicured grounds. Located on one of the nicest beaches we visited on Kauai and plenty of towels and beach chairs available for guest use. Management and staff were all helpful and friendly. Owners very responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommended. Small complaints: pool closes early and be aware resort charges for local phone calls. Bring your cell; Verizon coverage was excellent.

We stayed from 04/12/2011 to 04/21/2011. The condo is exactly as pictured. The decor is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils & we prepared many of our meals @ the condo. The corner location of the condo is tucked back away from the rest of the buildings, which made for a very quiet retreat. The view from the lanai is of a peaceful green tropical garden. We fed some of the colorful birds Cheerios in the mornings....the grey ones with the bright red heads are Brazilian Cardinals. The walk to the beach is approx. 10 minutes through the complex. Not too far, altho you could drive down and park closer if walking is a problem for you. The property grounds are lovely. The gardens at the Plantation House restaurant are stunning, with koi ponds, and orchids everywhere. The lawn fronting the beach is huge and has many palms dotting it for shade. There is a beach hut where you get lawn chairs & towels at N/C. They also arrange tours, rent snorkle gear & boogie boards there. We spend many of our afternoons on the lawn, going for a swim in the ocean and then returning to our beach chairs to read. The ocean fronting Kiahuna Plantation is great for swimming and boogie boarding. Just down the beach is Poipu Park, which has great snorkling for beginners....shallow, calm & lots of fish. You can walk to Poipu beach through the Mariott property right next door. The location of the condo in the complex puts it right across the street from the Kiahuna Tennis club, where the swimming pool is located. The pool area is very nice & has a slide and beach entry...great for kids. There is also a restaurant & bar (Casablanca) at the pool, but we did not eat there. The Kiahuna Golf course is within walking distance, with a great restaurant for breakfast...Joes on the Green. Just watch out for the hornets nests if you decide to walk up the road past the golf course. The "viewing platform" for the uncompleted development is booby-trapped with hornets nests! There is also a nice strip mall across the street from the complex that houses Keokis Paradise restaurant (great Happy Hour menu) and Roy's restaurant, plus a small convenience store & shops. Oh, and a Starbucks for coffee! All in all, we had a great time and would go back in a heart beat. My only suggestion would be more towels available in the condo. The service fee for towels service is $20 per day! We went to Walmart & bought our own. Aloha & Mahalo, Steve & Wendy
