SNOWBIRDS KNOCK HUNDREDS OFF YOUR MARCH SPRING & SPRING BREAK WEEKLY RATES WHEN YOU STAY ON INTO PART OR ALL OF MARCH. Enjoy the sun after the others have run. Have fun on the warm beach after others have fled to the freezing north from conventional spring break rates at other houses.
Everybody gets reduced FALL and WINTER rates, except for holiday weeks, by booking fewer bedrooms (2 or 3) at lower weekly rates, or even lower monthly rates for longer winter stays. If you want the grandkids to visit, pay for the extra bedrooms only the weeks they are with you and using them.
Snowbirds who want to remain on for part or all of March get lower spring break rates only if they first rent this house January and February.
Perfect location directly overlooking the sparkling white sand beach of the Gulf of Mexico at the bottom of the steps just adjacent to your deck. Chez Mireille embodies the charm, convenience and practicality which characterize the living heart of "Old Seagrove Beach." Watch breathtaking sunsets from the huge front deck, half covered for enjoying the shade cooled by the breeze from off the water, half open to the sky for sunbathing or stargazing or watching the flourescent waters under the amazing white illumination of a full harvest moon.
Feed and offer drinks to dozens at your wedding rehearsal or family reunion dinner in the 48 foot x 24 foot "great room" whose bank of multiple sets of gulf front French doors enlarge it to a party area nearly 60 feet long, open to the breeze and a few steps down to the gulf's rippling waters.
But enjoy the convenience provided by your hedonistic host who supplied you with multiple watering points from the kitchen at the home's north end to the seashell fountain on the southern deck so your glass will never go dry.
Welcome to this airy 3,000 square foot home which offers a wonderful and convenient split floor plan that will easily accommodate 2-3 families with children and/or elderly guests as the floor plan is one level with 6 wheelchair ramps conveniently located around the house. Excellent arrangement for family vacations, special occasions as bridal parties, showers, rehearsal dinners, family reunions and cocktail parties.
Come in through the huge entry hall which features a love seat and game table and plenty of room for all the things that accumulate at the front door. Beamed ceilings and skylights make a bright cheery atmosphere. Walk through to the kitchen and notice bedrooms on both sides of the house.
The three french doors from the huge family room lead to the lanai from a recreation area featuring a wood burning fireplace, TV, DVD, wet bar, two sofas (one of which opens to sleeper) and a love seat. View the ocean, the sunsets or the convenient pocket televison as you prepare meals in the open kitchen with oversized French door style fridge with its pull out drawer freezer, wrap around ceramic tile counter which seats 6, and dining room table which seats 6 - 8 or more, bringing the comforts of your own home to the seashore.
The master bedroom on the beach side of the home features a king bed and glorious views of the gulf, with work desk and TV. There is an adjacent convenience shower and bath, or, further toward the north end of the house, you can enjoy the water jets of a large jacuzzi style tub under a large French style radial shower head which gently rains down its warming liquid comfort like those in spas in France and Italy.
The kids, in their twin bedroom nearby with their own tv are right next door to the jacuzzi tub/shower.
Across the front foyer, there is another master bedroom, with its queen bed and TV, a new tub and shower and is conveniently close to another twin bedroom with TV, which has the new bath and shower on one side and an additional bath and shower and changing area on the other side.
No one has to track sand across your living room when you come back up from the beach. Back from the earliest days, panhandle builders put outside showers conveniently close to entrance doors for sun and sea lovers. Chez Mireille has two such showers, one on each side of the house, with direct access doors to bath rooms and hotwater inside showers and the bedrooms next to them.
Convenient wooden walkways, with their wheelchair ramps, wrap around the building, making it easier for little kids to shed their sand and beach equipment right outside the door as well as providing accessiblity for those on wheelchairs to move directly from their arrival at the carport facing 30-A to the deck overlooking the gulf.

Why the Owner Chose Seagrove Beach West
I'm seconds from the sea, minutes from the coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants and watering holes of Seaside. I can drive into town, park the car, get on my bike and not start a motorized vehicle for a month, pedaling up and down a safe 16-mile long evenly graded bike path separated from the highway and carried across our region's frequent gulf side lakes by its own bridges. Like fresh air, sunshine & pleasant people who say, "Hi," to strangers? That's why people who live here call this place paradise.
The Unique Benefits at this House
If it rains, I don't have to watch television.
I have bookshelves that have more than pottery on them. There are even books. Some on politics or foreign policy, history or opera, some in French, including classic plays by Racine and Moliere, others in Spanish or Italian, reference books, some mystery novels. Many come. I would appreciate if they are allowed to stay, especially those written or given to me by friends, colleagues, teachers. Please let others enjoy them too.
This "A" is for Amphitheatre, the grassy bowl we all sit in for free afternoon and night time concerts, massive yard sales, outdoor comedy improvisations. Around it find ice cream stores, antique shop
Owner's Map of Seagrove Beach West
My family and I have been visiting these beautiful shores since the 1950s (when pavement for 30-A stopped about 1/2 mile east of Seaside) In 1960, my Mother brought my immediate family to join the aunts, uncles and cousins already established here, when she moved from New Orleans to a bungalow just down highway 30-A from this house. There are now more than 30 family members with 20 permanent homes here. I am a retired news correspondent and editor who has lived all over the world, but chose this area to settle down in for retirement. I hope you all love it as much as I, my family and my friends do. I bought Chez Mireille in 1993 and have worked over the years to make it more comfortable for my family and other guests, including you, by extending it at both ends to bring shelter and air conditioning to the areas from which we can watch the sunsets and sunrises and provide more modern amenities to transform a simple beach cottage into a more comfortable and presentable vacation home.
