This was a very clean and quiet property; located just off of a main access road but on a lot by itself with no close neighbors. This property is perfect for someone looking for some peace and quiet, and privacy. The owner was very accomodating and had great communication throughout the duration of the rental. The property is also located within minutes of a major shopping center and a beautiful beach and marina, and being in the middle of the Gulf Coast area puts it within miles of many major attractions. This was a great rental property that I would love to rent again.

Beautiful House in Great Location

As someone mentioned, house is even nicer than it looks in photos. Immaculate. Location is equidistant between city of Port Charlotte and tranquil Boca Grande, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Neighborhood is quiet and rural; neighbors very friendly; everyone is friendly down there. Bike trail nearby, perfect for biking or hiking (if you can tear your kids away from the pool). You also want to rent this house from Gina & Nicky because they're on the ball--they maintain their property from afar as if they're virtually there. While I was in their home, I emailed Gina with a question...she emailed me back immediately, telling me to go to the garage, look to my left, and on top of the water heater, I'd find what I was looking for. Wow!

Winter Get Away

Enjoyed a three month stay in a lovely home in a very quiet, private area of Rotonda Lakes. Wonderful for walking, biking, eating out and quick commutes to beach areas. Loved the sun rises from the lanai and the beautiful sunsets at the front of the house. The pool was warm and sunny well into the late afternoon. The owners were very accomodating and responded quickly to any questions we posed. We look forward to another stay this coming winter.

We recommend this home highly. We found it exactly as shown and described. Very private and close to shopping and restaurants. Gina was very quick to fix a few little glitches at the beginning. Their home was very clean and comfortable. I would gladly recommend this property to my parents!! Lots off golf, fishing, biking, walking, 10 minutes from the gulf, tennis. It's great!! House was Beautiful...BUT....

The home was beautiful, and we had a good time. But...there were a few problems. We originally booked for a set of dates and then later added on to that, long before the vacation was set to begin. We got the instructions the week we were to arrive, and we arrived on the date for which we were contracted. On the first day, we discovered the guest bathroom had a toilet that was continually running so we thought we'd drop Gina & Nicky a note to let them know. Gina responded and was grateful for our reporting it and gave me instructions on what do do. At the time, she also asked me to "remind her" of our arrival and departure dates, which I did(although I thought it a bit odd). She immediately sent me a nasty email as asking if I could tell her "what I was doing in her house 5 days early"!!! Apparently I couldn't respond fast enough because she then started calling my sister on her cell asking her the same thing. My sister explained that we had added days to the front of our contract and reminded her that it was all paid for in one money order. She stated she'd have to call Nicky. Nicky then called and started with the same sort of attitude, but once everything was explained and we proved it by forwarding the appropriate emails he backed down and apologized. Sad thing was, I later re-read the instructions that were sent to us and the right dates were right in their own document. So, that left a little sour taste in our mouths. We also were not told that there were several outlets that did not function because of a lightning strike. We kept plugging in our laptops to various kitchen/breakfast nook areas only to find they did not work. We have a friend who is an electrician over and he couldn't figure out what was wrong. We finally found out when we mentioned it to the handyman that came to fix the toilet. All in all, as I said - the house was beautiful and we loved the pool. It just would have been nice if everything was working(or if we'd been informed what wasn't) and if the owners would have checked their facts before basically accusing us of theft of service....like I would have sent an email to them reporting the toilet problems if I was illegally squatting there!!!!

Owner response:Again we feel the need to apologize to Neva and her family for our sudden reaction at to what we felt at the moment was a justifiable question. Sorry that Neva interpreted our response as "bad attitude"? We didn't intend to upset anyone. What had happened mistakenly was that we were looking at the original contract and emails and reacted tastefully and probably should have researched it a bit further. As we later discovered that those dates were added on to their stay. I apologized immediately to her after her correspondence and realized all was in order with the contracted dates. Gina and I are glad that you and your family enjoyed our home and pool. We would welcome you back at anytime in the future. If you’re ever in southwest Florida again please feel free to drop us a line.

The house was great, very clean, and well kept. We made use of the bikes, beach chairs, and golf equipment. We grilled several nights and good use of the supplied kitchen. All in all a great stay eventhough we had cold weather.

Gina & Nick, Your home was very private and peaceful like the heading. The house was even nicer than the pictures on your website. A couple of things about the house that we really loved. It was very neat and clean . That is very important and it was equipped with a lot of household items we needed. We enjoyed your pool at night and went to the beautiful Englewood Beach during the day. Your place was not far from restaurants or shopping . If you’re looking for a place to stay, this is the house to rent. The house is located in a quiet and peaceful location with lots of privacy. The house is fully equipped and very clean. WOW! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this lovely home to our friends & family, as well as the VRBO community! The home is tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable and is located in a very desirable and secluded location just minutes from some of the most unspoiled beaches in Florida. The property is surrounded by a wooded landscape providing guests with a feeling of complete privacy and connection with Florida's natural beauty. The Cape Haize Pioneer Trail is just minutes away, linking the outdoor enthusiast and nature observer with miles of serene biking/walking trails where Florida bald eagles and scrub jays abound. Without question, this home was the "perfect" choice for our family's getaway, and we'll most definitely consider staying here again upon our next return to Southwest Florida.
