The perfect getaway! Great for a weekend to reconnect or longer for true relaxation. The house is an easy drive from Manhattan/NJ/Westchester (2 hours from Manhattan) and yet it feels like a whole world away. See stars, enjoy nature, the sound of the creek through the open windows or a glass of wine by the campfire in the backyard. Cozy for a couple but plenty of room for a few close friends. Town is about a mile away and world-famous Sweet Sue's is in walking distance - be sure to go for breakfast! Additional restaurants, a grocery store and shops are all nearby and Woodstock is just 12 minutes away.
The two story house has a bedroom and full bathroom on each floor for added privacy. A fully equipped kitchen allows for home-cooked meals. Wake up and enjoy coffee on the front porch or grill out and eat under the stars on the back deck. Read a book or sunbathe on the chaise lounges or enjoy a few moments of meditation on a zen bench by the stream under a canopy of trees. The house has a two car garage and central air as well as ceiling fans.

I bought this house 5 years ago after falling in love with it at first sight. The previous owner did an amazing job of upgrading the house while maintaining the original charm of this 1925 Cape. I live in New York City and this is the perfect escape from the chaos!
Why the Owner Chose Phoenicia
I'd been visiting the area for years, and fell in love with the people and the community. Phoenicia is an easy drive (or bus ride) from Manhattan/NJ/Westchester and yet it truly feels like getting away. We have amazing restaurants, shops, events, hiking, skiing, horseback riding, and local live music.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is set on more than an acre of land with a stream running through the back woods and the creek (popular for tubing) out the front door. The house is perfect for anyone looking for a romantic getaway with great star gazing from the back deck, a fireplace in the living room and a swing on the front porch. Close to town where you can enjoy the great restaurant choices or pick up fresh local produce and provisions and cook/grill at the house.

We're two couples who stayed here this past weekend and couldn't have asked for a better little weekend getaway. Comfortable bedrooms and living room, complete kitchen, spacious bathrooms with hot water, and a perfect back room for eating and playing games. Location was excellent, and the owner left easy instructions, access, and, best of all, a great rate! We hope to return!
