This spacious and open 2100 sq ft, 3-BR, 2-BA architecturally distinctive executive home features 25-foot open beam ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, sauna and hot tub. This Modernist/Tuscan-styled getaway is located in a treed enclave minutes from the ocean and Thetis Lake and 10-15 minutes from downtown Victoria. The main living room boasts 25-foot open-beamed ceilings, free-standing fireplace and an open design with two oversize wood and glass doors opening to the massive deck. The adjacent dining room area is slightly raised and overlooks the fountain. There are three tastefully decorated bedrooms situated throughout the house with 300 thread count linens. The master bedroom is tucked away at the back of the home with its own completely private deck beside the stream and small pond. The large bedroom windows overlook a serene stand of Garry oak trees and native plants. Perfect for a night of romance or maybe a relaxing candlelight bath in the oversized claw foot tub steps from the thermo fit bed.
The modern kitchen area overlooks the stream and pond and offers a functional balance of beauty and convenience with concrete counters and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is open and almost entirely comprised of windows. There is also a sliding glass door to the rear deck. The stream and pond attract a great deal of bird life - from hummingbirds to eagles.
The location of this wondrous home is perfect – just minutes from many of Victoria’s famed sites, attractions, restaurants and night life, yet far enough away from the action to enjoy a restful getaway in your home away from home.
The ocean is a five-minute walk and Thetis Lake is five minutes away by car. Thetis Lake offers the best fresh water swimming in Victoria as well as trout and bass fishing. There are also miles of trails for walking, hiking, and picnicking. The home is also five minutes from the Galloping Goose Trail which runs from downtown Victoria to Sooke and is ideal for biking and in-line skating. The Galloping Goose Trail provides convenient bicycle access to downtown Victoria in 15 minutes. For the golfers there are plenty of courses in the vicinity to suit every skill level. Superb shopping near by, world class museum, salmon fishing, whale watching, Butchart Gardens 25 minutes away, casino and kids water park...all close by.

We were a party of 8 and found the house to be very spacious with all of us there. Very comfortable home with many great features. We too loved the art in the house. The house is in a very private setting with a beautiful landscaping, close to all amenities. We definitely recommend renting this house! Thank you!

Beautiful house, the pictures of the house are great but nothing compared to seeing it in person! Stayed for several days with our family and this house has so much room and such a gorgeous setting. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Great location to Thetis Lake and the galloping goose trail which is awesome to bike and walk on. Went on many beautiful trails. Owners took care of any concerns we had immediately. Lots of good restaurants close by and close to downtown Victoria. Quiet, peaceful setting and we would definitely recommend this to family and friends.

Loved the stay wonderful house, everything was top notch (great art!!)...so private. Sauna in the morning and hot tub at night..what a way to relax. Enjoyed a gin a tonic in the evening on your wonderful deck watching the humming birds drink from the fountain. Kids (and Bernie our dog )loved Thetis Lake. We'll definitly tell all our friends and will be back next year...hopefully for two weeks. Thanks again Terri
