Designer loft carefully restored in a superb 17th century townhouse overlooking one of the most beautiful Palaces on the Ile St Louis. Contemporary style and comfort mixes with the Parisien charm of oak beams and old fireplace overlooking a very quiet street.
The bedroom overlooks the cobbled courtyard and is west facing with double bed and walk-in closet behind the bed. The sitting room is an open plan and has a superb kitchen with bar - fully equipped and well designed. The table seats 4 and the sofa bed is 120 x 190. There is a staircase and mezzanine not suitable for young children with a single futon style mattress with limited standing space.
The bathroom is large and equipped with shower and heated towel rail.
The apartment is a short walk from the main street on the historic Isle St Louis with its bistros, galleries and local shops as well as the famous Ice Cream parlour in Paris Maison Berthillon with its terrace overlooking the River Seine.
There are very few cars on the Ile St Louis which gives it an unusual calm atmosphere. The Marais is within easy walking distance.
The Notre Dame cathedral is on the Ile de La Cité which is reached by crossing the footbridge.
