I am not sure if you could find a better one bedroom that accepts dogs with easy access to town and the highway. The owners are responsive, the apartment is well equipped, large, comfortable etc..

This property is well described and pictured on the VRBO web site. But, we were delighted to find that the appearance and features of the actual property exceeded the web site description. Our unit was cheerfully and esthetically decorated and functionally furnished. We had everything we needed (and then some!) and we appreciated the little extras like matching lounge robes, a Brita water-filter pitcher, mood candles and a large bouquet of fresh cut flowers. The appliances, electronics and rheostat lighting were all state of the art and no matter where you looked you could recognize the tasteful, talented touch of the owners who are professional designers. The rental office staff also enhanced the value of this property. They immediately made us feel like old friends, were always available, and their directions, information and advice were really helpful to first time visitors. Once you get acclimated, you realize that this property is just minutes away from many of the major attractions in San Antonio – the Riverwalk, the Alamo, the Zoo, the Quarry Mall, the Central Market, etc, etc.. If we return to San Antonio in the future we would schedule our trip to match the availability of the G2 Haus. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!

2 couples rented both apartments and it was only to excede our expectations. The apartments were top notch. The accomodations fit our needs wonderfully. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the Riverwalk so much. If you use the apartments as a jumping off point to the Riverwalk I would suggest renting a car. Too far to walk really, because once you arrive at the River walk you have ALOT OF WALKING TO DO ! In a heart beat we would rent these accomodations again if visiting San Antonio. THEY WERE MORE THAN WE EXPECTED. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT ! ! THANK YOU

In August 2011 spent two weeks in San Antonio on business, and decided to rent a furnished dwelling via VRBO. All the previous reviews for the G2 Haus were spot on. Elegant and comfortable design. Fully furnished and equipped kitchen, so being a geographical bachelor I made and ate most of my meals there. Great location, an easy walk to the Pearl Brewery and the riverwalk extension (leading you downtown) which is also a fairly easy walk. There are several music venues within walking distance of the G2 Haus as well, the White Rabbit is just down the road, as are several fine restaurants (el milagrito, The Candlight Cafe etc) Everything about the G2 Haus was great. Very quiet, slept great; and had there been any problems the owners live immediately behind the G2 Haus, and work directly across the street. Overall an excellent experience. I would rent the G2 Haus again and bring my wife and two kids. I would recommend the G2 Haus to my friends and colleagues.

I would like to sincerely thank you for one of the most pleasant stays I have yet to experience. Who could ask for better accommodations... Not one detail was left out! I hope you continue with your rental property endeavor because this is truly one of your "callings" and is truly appreciated by the lucky few that are fortunate enough to experience a G2 Haus stay. I am as anal as they come and therefore always dread the "unknown" hotel experience but G2 Haus far exceeded any of my 4 star/5 star hotel choices. Thanks for doing it RIGHT! Tell Jarid, we said hello and thanks again for his warm spirit!

We can't do better than to echo all the praise other reviewers have heaped on this great place. You know, the Gs furnished with lighting and artwork way beyond what they could have gotten away with; which is kind of flattering when you think of it -- just as if they knew that you, in particular, would come along and take notice. In fact, after examining the row of photos/prints below the windows in the dining area, I promptly went to Walgreen's and printed up some of the cell-phone photos I had taken on exploring the Mission Reach project that is currently underway along the river to the south of town (the counterpart to the Museum Reach to the north of town, which is so easily accessible from the G2 Haus) By the time we left I had put these photos into several compositions of my own, under the inspiration of the HausArt, with happy results. An unadvertised but significant amenity. Even though we are familiar with San Antonio (my husband grew up there and we visit constantly) we were impressed with the wealth of information the Gs provided in their guide; didn't get a haircut, or a tattoo but did get a hamburger across the street and did try a couple of new restaurants. Loved the privacy, while appreciating the availability of help or advice if needed. Had our longtime San Antonio friends over for dinner twice, and they were also impressed. All too often an out-of-town stay creates so many of its own problems (noisy neighbors, long waits for valets to bring your car around--for $25 a night--long waits for crowded elevators, lumpy beds, rock-hard pillows (and so few of them!) scratchy towels rinsed in industrial-grade disinfectants, non-working AC, non-working vending machines, slimy ice dispensers and (other people's) children setting off fire alarms in the midle of the night) that you really wonder why you left town at all. The G-2 Haus is more than simply the absence of all that; it is the opposite of all that. Now we are just planning how soon we can come back.

I must say that the G2 Haus is a A+ property. The staff was friendly, polite and easy to work with. Then the apartment was totally awseome! The pictures don't even begin to show you what you are in store of getting. From the moment I walked in I was impressed. Nice, clean, decorated very elegant, lots of shade areas outside and in a safe quiet location. The bed is so comfortable I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud of air. All the appliances are top of the line. Minutes from everything. I will be staying here again plenty of times before this year ends. Thanks, Ruth, Gary, Jared and the rest of G2 Haus for making my stay so enjoyable.

The previous reviews are spot-on. G2 Haus is perfection down to the oriental rugs. We are four friends that rented both units. We all agreed that our best meals were spent on the large breezeway patio, complete with pillows and outdoor curtains. The beds and linens are incredibly comfortable and the surroundings were inspiring. We will be back!

The property was perfect for my family of 4 (with 2 young children) in one unit, and my parents in the other. My young kids slept on an inflatable matress. The units were impeccably clean, perfectly furnished, beautifully and tastefully decorated, and comfortable walking distance to the end of the River Walk water taxi route. Our hosts were kind, helpful, and gracious. They went to great lengths to have anything we might need... laundry detergent (even stain spray :-), coffee, wonderful towels, linens, a great shower...all of the little things that make a big difference. They had helpful notebooks in each unit with several maps and suggestions for dining, shopping, and attractions. The property is not in a touristy area, which suited us well. It was close to parks, Zoo, Riverwalk and good restaurants. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return ourselves!

Similar to previous entries, G2 is modern & clean, the water pressure in the shower is delightful, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and easy to use, the closets are huge, and there were fresh daisys in the kitchen! The riverwalk starts 4-5 blocks from the house and it's a couple miles away to the "restaurant section" of the riverwalk (Alamo & tower of the americas). We enjoyed the hike. We also enjoyed walking (North?) to the Japanese Tea Garden and wish we would have scheduled some time to visit the coffee shops and wine bar on the way over there! We're glad we had a rental car to transport over to the riverwalk at night. Nearby attractions: Austin 6th Street/live music, Austin Lady Bird Lake walking/running path, Fredericksburg wine tasting & restaurants, loved the food at San Antonio's Tower of the Americas. We loved the riverwalk but we got a little bored with the menu selections......this is a fun & beautiful city!

These guys have it going on. When I saw the listing and photos I realized that it was a special place. However, the actual property exceeded the photos and my expectations. The rock fence is creative and a "must see." The door (and not gate) coordinates well with the fence. Once inside the the apartment we found it to be spacious. The lighting and decor have been perfected and there is nothing that I think that I can improve. There are no flaws. It is apparent that Gari and Gunner are professionals who know their business. The apartment contained a booklet that listed everything (and more) that I needed to know, including aspects of the apartment, area attractions and restaurants, and shopping. We travel extensively and try not to use hotels and oppose time shares. We surf various web sites for condos and apartments and have utilized them across the country. It is typical for owners to compromise quality in certain aspects for rental property, This is not true with the G2 Haus, and that includes the marble countertops. The owners were out of town when we visited and the staff was outstanding in assuring that we had no unanswered questions and that we had an outstanding stay in San Antonio.

The G2 Haus is everything that the photos depict. First class in every detail down to fresh flowers on the table. I will certainly stay there again when I'm in San Antonio. As for the location....there are 2 coffee bars, a beautiful YMCA, resturants, and a variety of trendy bars and a tattoo shop within 1/2 a mile. The entrance to I-281 north and south are right near the YMCA. The airport and downtwon are about 15 minutes respectively, in opposite directions. My activities were primarily downtown and I found $2.00 all day parking at the base of I-281 and Houston street, coins or credit card only, about 4-5 blocks from Market Street. I was so comfortable that I felt like I was in my own home. Thank you so much for the use of your fabulous space.

I've traveled extensively, and prefer to rent homes vs. stay in hotels. The G2 Haus was perhaps the nicest place I've rented. It was exactly as pictured, it's actually more beautiful that I imagined it would be. I come annually for a convention at the convention center. I rode my bike there daily. There are wonderful restaurants close by and downtown is close but not too close. I personally am not a huge fan of the riverwalk or the convention center area. So this was a perfect place for me. At 10 minute bike ride to the convention for my meetings, but once back here it was my little oasis. I wish I could live here! These guys have impeccable taste. The towels and bedding and even details like the robes were as nice as the Four Seasons. The hosts/owners are lovely people, and very helpful and welcoming. I look forward to an excuse to come back soon!

My wife and I recently had a great three night stay at G2Haus as a "trial" to find a location in which to "winter" in the future -- we will return! Clean, homey, and wonderfully appointed, the apartment exceeded our expectations. If you are concerned about location as we were nitially, don't be. Once we learned the territory we were right at home. We walked to the downtown river walk area in a pleasant hour on the magnificent extension of the River Walk, then used the water taxi to return to the Pearl Brewry -- a great addition to the River Walk. We found the apartment and location a delight and great service as well. And for what you receive, the price is very reasonable. We have visited San Antonio many times and this visit was our most enjoyable. Dan Holt

G2 Haus is the best vacation rental property we've ever had the pleasure of visiting! The apartment was immaculate, and equipped with the finest quality appliances, both large and small. Located in a safe neighborhood, G2 Haus is convenient for exploring San Antonio, and the enclosed and secured yard is perfect for accommodating our four-legged family member. Gary and Gunnar have provided a booklet with valuable information and directions, to include locations for a dry cleaner, dentist, restaurants and other services which may be needed, and are also available to answer questions, as necessary. They even promote recycling and provide a bin and directions for doing so. G2 Haus is definitely our preference for all future visits to San Antonio!

Gary and Gunther, thanks so much for sharing your apartment with us. We had a great time there! It was so well designed and decorated to fit our needs while visiting the city. It was very clean, comfortable and functional. We really appreciated your suggestion of visiting the shops and restaraunts in the Pearl Brewery Complex and we loved walking on the new addition of the River Walk there. The fenced yard and deck was perfect for our little four legged daughter, also. Best wishes, Ryan and Tammy Remley

We totatlly enjoyed our stay G2 Haus. I grew up close to SA so loved being in the heart of the city in such a wonderfully remodeled apartment. This place was a fabulous find! Having off street parking for our rental car was a hidden plus. Felt so safe. The rock fence is amazing!! Take advantage of being so close to the newly constructed San Antonio River Walk. It is a beautiful walk right to downtown. D.R and Sammy Smith

We had the pleasure of staying at the G2 Haus for three weeks. It truly was a home away from home. We found it to be a charming, spacious, comfortable and perfectly located place. We loved the modern architectural design and decor, and the attention to detail displayed by the owners. When and if we were to come back to San Antonio, this is where we would stay and we will recommend it to our friends and business contacts.

It is a great place and the owners attention to detail was great. There were no first time issues, everything worked and was wonderful. This is a great place to stay, we are already looking at our schedule for another trip.
