Why the Owner Chose Simpson Bay
Our first trip to Saint Maarten was in January 1999 and we've been hooked ever since. We owned a time share there by Year 2, but one week wasn't enough. We decided to purchase our own piece of Paradise when Las Arenas was being built further up the beach on Simpson Bay. The condo is on the 3rd floor - it overlooks the infinity pool and the surf and sand are literally a stone's throw away. The cool trade winds and aquamarine sea are a dream come true for all who visit!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Our building has only 12 units, is in a real neighborhood and feels very private - lots of beautiful palm trees and exotic plants. The building is exquisitely designed with outdoor staircases & "hallways", an elevator, and large curved balconies - ours has shade during the sunniest times of day! We like being close to the airport, yet able to walk to the village for fresh French bread, wine & other necessities. Restaurants are close by - we even have a plain air restaurant on the beach! Lots to see and do - or one can simply do nothing at all ...
Snorkeling, scuba, catamaran cruises -So convenient to Las Arenas - you can walk or park nearby. Around the Island tour departs from Phillipsburg; bus will pick you up at end of Sr. Agnes St.!
For all of your vacation needs - food, wine, pharmacy, small casino & great restaurants right on the lagoon (Check out Halsey's - our favorite)!
Wonderful outdoor market every day with special fish & produce on Wednesdays - West Indies Mall is gorgeous!
Great shopping on Front Street - restaurants, entertainment & historical sites.

We both love the ocean and never have lived too far from it. We have owned property in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and live right on the Chesapeake Bay, but nothing comes close to the Caribbean. Fran is a public health consultant with her own business, Coalitions Work. Tom owns an orthodontic practice in partnership with our daughter, Jennifer. Our sons, Ryan and Adam, work for Entertainment Arts video games in San Francisco. We have two grandchildren, Anna Lee and Alex. Our family loves Las Arenas - we're sure you will too!
