From the moment I contacted the owners, I knew I had a winner. As a family, we probably rent homes at least 4 times a year, and this ranks in the top 5! The decor, the location, and the attention to detail by the owners is amazing. The art was my favorite part. We will absolutely stay here again and hopefully soon because there is so much to see. Thanks for sharing your home.Owner response: Thanks for the kind words, Becky, such a joy to meet and host you and your family! Hope to see you and family again soon.

My daughter's wedding day was made even more special when we used this beautiful home for her and her Bridemaid's to get ready. The home is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The bride and the bridesmaid enjoyed relaxing and spending time together before the wedding. We had a few out of town guest staying her as well. I would recommend this home to anyone coming to Chattanooga. It is 5 to 10 minutes from pretty much anything south of the river. Great location, great value, and relaxing.Owner response: Thanks so much for such wonderful feedback. It was a pleasure and an honor to host your daughter's very special weekend. Come visit again, we enjoyed all that wonderful energy!

My adult grandson moved to Chatanooga last year and my other adult grandson and I came to visit for 5 days. It was wonderful having all the necessities of home. This property is so unique - just not something you would typically find in a rental. We did a lot of site seeing, but it was also nice to stay in and just relax and visit - the perfect setting to do that whether inside or on the comfortable, large front porch. The uniqueness of the Residence will forever be a part of our memories of this trip The location couldn't have been more convenient - close in to town, but a neighborhood setting. Miki was very helpful prior to our visit with information and answering any questions. Would definitely return!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Doreen, Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We enjoyed you all, too. Glad to know you were comfortable, that's our goal!

My family needed a place to stay in Chattanooga while touring UT Chat, since it was Five of us, we find staying in area homes/cottages to be more comfortable and relaxing...WOW did this wonderful place meet that and more. One of the neatest and cleanest places we have ever stayed at, plus all the ART on the walls, you felt like you were in your own art gallery! It provided everything we needed for our stay. Additionally, you can easily just park your car and use the free buses right around the corner to explore all of downtown area too! How great is that! Oh, and our wonderful host, who my wife and I enjoyed some great conversation while relaxing on the front porch was one more enjoyable aspect. We look forward to a return trip and will for sure stay here again!Owner response: Glad the Residence worked out so well! And thank you for leaving everything in such fine condition! We enjoyed getting to meet you all, and look forward to a return visit.

This apartment was all that the description promises and then some! The living area was more spacious than it appears in the pictures and we definitely enjoyed that big front porch! There is a small playground just across the street that our kids enjoyed. So many great pieces of art, we noticed something new everyday! Miki and Tom were great hosts. Very convenient that they live upstairs when a light bulb burnt out and they changed it that day! The location of this apartment is just perfect. It is a very quiet street, but walking distance (or a free trolley ride) to a ton of restaurants, shops, the aquarium and the cool pedestrian bridge. Plus it was just minutes off the interstate and a super short drive to Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your kind words -- we enjoyed hosting your group, the kids were great you all were among our favorite guests. Hope to see you again!

My family rents approximately 10 times a year from VRBO, and I would say that this home is one of the best that we have stayed in. The home is on the south side of Chattanooga...so it is far enough from the crazy, can't find a parking spot area....but close enough that it is easy to drive to everything! The home was comfortable for the 5 of us who stayed, but also accomodated a college reunion of 8 people. The beds in each of the three bedrooms are comfortable. The house is spacious, but cozy. The bathrooms are a little small for three bedrooms, but we were able ot manage. The owners thought of every need the guests might have. Not only did the home have all of the equipment to cook a meal for the 8 people, but the owner provided coffee, tea, water, and other necessities when someone is only staying for a couple of days and does not want to go to the grocery. The most fun thing was all of the art. We spent a lot of time looking at it and discussing it. Very interesting!!!!! I will definately stay here again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your kind words! And for taking such exquisite care of the Residence. Hope to host you all again soon.

Spent Labor Day weekend and the Artists Gallery Residence. Very easy to get the keys. Sleeps 6 comfortably and a great common area for conversation and snacks. Convenient location - around the corner from the microbrew and two blocks to the Choo Choo and shuttle bus that runs downtown. Easy access to I-24 and short drive to the Ocoee River for rafting. Great experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We had a family reunion in Chattanooga and 5 of us stayed at the Artists Gallery Residence. We loved it. The owners were very helpful and suggested a great place (Bluegrass Grill) for breakfast that was only half a block from our VRBO. It was delicious. The best biscuits that I have eaten. We really enjoyed looking at all the fabulous art pieces in our residence and the rooms were immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely return again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation stay in Chattanooga.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Dear Miki & Tom, Thank you for hosting our family of 6 in your wonderful home over the 4th of July. We had a fantastic time! Your home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and we had plenty of room. Also, your recommendations for restaurants and activities were extremely helpful. We especially enjoyed Lupi's Pizza and Ruby Falls. Thank you for providing the little extras such as cold water bottles and toiletries (shampoo, soap, extra toothbrush, etc...) -- you thought of everything! We look forward to visiting again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Chattanooga was voted the #2 medium sized City in the US as an arts destination and that caught our attention! Before arriving in Chattanooga, we were one of the founders of an artists enclave in Bradenton FL called The Village of the Arts, where we owned and operated Kaos Gallery. Miki is a painter, Tom's art lies in restoration, and we were featured on HGTV in a show called, "What's With That House?" We are also featured in a PBS Special, "Creative License", out of Nashville TN, and Chattanooga's Heroic Drive, a one hour documentary about the growth of the City.
Why the Owner Chose Chattanooga:
After visiting Chattanooga, we fell instantly in love with its friendliness, beauty, and incredible growth. We applied for and received an ArtsMove grant incentive. What a wonderful City! We like to call ourselves urban pioneers now, having come here by way of rural Vermont and oceanfront Florida. We have had vacation rentals both in Vermont and Florida, so we are experienced hosts to couples, corporate stays, and families. After nearly two years of restoration, this 100 year old brick Victorian has been beautifully transformed. A separate showroom/gallery greets you upon entry before entering the colorful Artists Gallery Residence. Our loft/studios are upstairs. The house is located on the Southside in a newly growing arts district walking distance to restaurants and right around the corner from the Chattanooga Choo Choo where you can pick up a free shuttle bus to take you anywhere around downtown. Chattanooga is surrounding by mountains with downtown and the Tennessee River as the centerpiece. We are 90 minutes from Nashville, 4 hours Memphis and 90 minutes to Dollywood.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
There are more than six municipal golf courses within half an hour of downtown. And for you musicians out there, there is a Yamaha electric keyboard with earphones free and available for your use. We enjoy state of the art cinema and IMAX, theatre productions, and music venues, including the annual Riverbend Festival, newly opened Track 29, art galleries, and other area entertainment.
