Downtown Chattanooga, Close to Everything, Far from Ordinary!

Why the Owner Chose Chattanooga
After visiting Chattanooga, we fell instantly in love with its friendliness, beauty, and incredible growth. We applied for and received an ArtsMove grant incentive. What a wonderful City! We like to call ourselves urban pioneers now, having come here by way of rural Vermont and oceanfront Florida. We have had vacation rentals both in Vermont and Florida, so we are experienced hosts to couples, corporate stays, and families. After nearly two years of restoration, this 100 year old brick Victorian has been beautifully transformed. A separate showroom/gallery greets you upon entry before entering the colorful Artists Gallery Residence. Our loft/studios are upstairs. The house is located on the Southside in a newly growing arts district walking distance to restaurants and right around the corner from the Chattanooga Choo Choo where you can pick up a free shuttle bus to take you anywhere around downtown. Chattanooga is surrounding by mountains with downtown and the Tennessee River as the centerpiece. We are 90 minutes from Nashville, 4 hours Memphis and 90 minutes to Dollywood.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
There are more than six municipal golf courses within half an hour of downtown. And for you musicians out there, there is a Yamaha electric keyboard with earphones free and available for your use. We enjoy state of the art cinema and IMAX, theatre productions, and music venues, including the annual Riverbend Festival, newly opened Track 29, and other area entertainment.
Owner's Map of Chattanooga
Chattanooga was voted the #2 medium sized City in the US as an arts destination and that caught our attention! Before arriving in Chattanooga, we were one of the founders of an artists enclave in Bradenton FL called The Village of the Arts, where we owned and operated Kaos Gallery. Miki is a painter, Tom's art lies in restoration, and we were featured on HGTV in a show called, "What's With That House?" We are also featured in a PBS Special, "Creative License", out of Nashville TN, and Chattanooga's Heroic Drive, a one hour documentary about the growth of the City.

Spent Labor Day weekend and the Artists Gallery Residence. Very easy to get the keys. Sleeps 6 comfortably and a great common area for conversation and snacks. Convenient location - around the corner from the microbrew and two blocks to the Choo Choo and shuttle bus that runs downtown. Easy access to I-24 and short drive to the Ocoee River for rafting. Great experience.

We had a family reunion in Chattanooga and 5 of us stayed at the Artists Gallery Residence. We loved it. The owners were very helpful and suggested a great place (Bluegrass Grill) for breakfast that was only half a block from our VRBO. It was delicious. The best biscuits that I have eaten. We really enjoyed looking at all the fabulous art pieces in our residence and the rooms were immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely return again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation stay in Chattanooga.

Dear Miki & Tom, Thank you for hosting our family of 6 in your wonderful home over the 4th of July. We had a fantastic time! Your home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and we had plenty of room. Also, your recommendations for restaurants and activities were extremely helpful. We especially enjoyed Lupi's Pizza and Ruby Falls. Thank you for providing the little extras such as cold water bottles and toiletries (shampoo, soap, extra toothbrush, etc...) -- you thought of everything! We look forward to visiting again!

We recently rented this residence on a family visit to Chattanooga. The host were warm and made you feel at home. The residence was clean, tastefully decorated and serene. It had all the ammenties that you would ever need provided and was close to the shuttle that went to all the sites downtown. We never moved our car. This was a great residence to rent. Not only was it tastefully decorated it was serene. We loved the residence and the beautiful artwork displayed through-out. It was alot of fun having the family together rather than in seperate hotel rooms. I would recommend to anyone planning a trip to the Chattanooga area.

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and we were extremely pleased with Miki and Tom's apartment. It is awesomely decorated, it's comfortable and they are generous with supplying the basics plus some pleasant surprises! It's in a great location and there are wonderfully restaurants within a couple of blocks. We will visit this spot again....and again.....and again!

My husband and I rented this apartment for a long weekend - it was AMAZING! You are surrounded by great art in a very cozy and comfortable setting. The location is in a great spot - right on the edge of downtown - a block or 2 from the Choo-Choo. Micki and Tom are wonderful hosts and I'm sure we will be seeing them again soon!

We're moving to Chattanooga and building a home in the area, and we needed a special place to work on our plans, take a break from the process, and to relax and unwind. We found a beautiful home-away-from-home in the "Artist's Residence", and we made two dear friends in Tom and Miki. They treated us like family, made sure we were doing okay, and focused on making our stay comfortable and as stress-free as possible. They introduced us to a few of the many attractions in Chattanooga, and reassured us that we were going to love living here. If you seek a warm and cozy place to stay, and if you love meeting hosts who go out of their way to make sure that you're enjoying your visit, then look no farther than Miki and Tom's "Artist's Residence"!

This was an excellent rental experience for so many reasons. First, the property was immaculately clean. Second, the hosts were gracious and helpful throughout the week. They made us feel at home in this wonderful city. Finally, the location was just right. It's about a block out of the hubbub of town, so it's quiet, but within a quick walk to the electric shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go. Basically, we found we could park our car in front of the rental and leave it there for the week. Good restaurants are within walking distance as well, most notably the Terminal Brewhouse and Niko's Southside Grill. As a side note, this is also a very vegetarian friendly city.
