My daughter's wedding day was made even more special when we used this beautiful home for her and her Bridemaid's to get ready. The home is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The bride and the bridesmaid enjoyed relaxing and spending time together before the wedding. We had a few out of town guest staying her as well. I would recommend this home to anyone coming to Chattanooga. It is 5 to 10 minutes from pretty much anything south of the river. Great location, great value, and relaxing.
Owner response:Thanks so much for such wonderful feedback. It was a pleasure and an honor to host your daughter's very special weekend. Come visit again, we enjoyed all that wonderful energy!

My family needed a place to stay in Chattanooga while touring UT Chat, since it was Five of us, we find staying in area homes/cottages to be more comfortable and relaxing...WOW did this wonderful place meet that and more. One of the neatest and cleanest places we have ever stayed at, plus all the ART on the walls, you felt like you were in your own art gallery! It provided everything we needed for our stay. Additionally, you can easily just park your car and use the free buses right around the corner to explore all of downtown area too! How great is that! Oh, and our wonderful host, who my wife and I enjoyed some great conversation while relaxing on the front porch was one more enjoyable aspect. We look forward to a return trip and will for sure stay here again!
Owner response:Glad the Residence worked out so well! And thank you for leaving everything in such fine condition! We enjoyed getting to meet you all, and look forward to a return visit.

This apartment was all that the description promises and then some! The living area was more spacious than it appears in the pictures and we definitely enjoyed that big front porch! There is a small playground just across the street that our kids enjoyed. So many great pieces of art, we noticed something new everyday! Miki and Tom were great hosts. Very convenient that they live upstairs when a light bulb burnt out and they changed it that day! The location of this apartment is just perfect. It is a very quiet street, but walking distance (or a free trolley ride) to a ton of restaurants, shops, the aquarium and the cool pedestrian bridge. Plus it was just minutes off the interstate and a super short drive to Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls!
Owner response:Thanks so much for your kind words -- we enjoyed hosting your group, the kids were great you all were among our favorite guests. Hope to see you again!

My adult grandson moved to Chatanooga last year and my other adult grandson and I came to visit for 5 days. It was wonderful having all the necessities of home. This property is so unique - just not something you would typically find in a rental. We did a lot of site seeing, but it was also nice to stay in and just relax and visit - the perfect setting to do that whether inside or on the comfortable, large front porch. The uniqueness of the Residence will forever be a part of our memories of this trip The location couldn't have been more convenient - close in to town, but a neighborhood setting. Miki was very helpful prior to our visit with information and answering any questions. Would definitely return!
Owner response:Hi Doreen, Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We enjoyed you all, too. Glad to know you were comfortable, that's our goal!

My family rents approximately 10 times a year from VRBO, and I would say that this home is one of the best that we have stayed in. The home is on the south side of Chattanooga...so it is far enough from the crazy, can't find a parking spot area....but close enough that it is easy to drive to everything! The home was comfortable for the 5 of us who stayed, but also accomodated a college reunion of 8 people. The beds in each of the three bedrooms are comfortable. The house is spacious, but cozy. The bathrooms are a little small for three bedrooms, but we were able ot manage. The owners thought of every need the guests might have. Not only did the home have all of the equipment to cook a meal for the 8 people, but the owner provided coffee, tea, water, and other necessities when someone is only staying for a couple of days and does not want to go to the grocery. The most fun thing was all of the art. We spent a lot of time looking at it and discussing it. Very interesting!!!!! I will definately stay here again!
Owner response:Thanks so much for your kind words! And for taking such exquisite care of the Residence. Hope to host you all again soon.

Spent Labor Day weekend and the Artists Gallery Residence. Very easy to get the keys. Sleeps 6 comfortably and a great common area for conversation and snacks. Convenient location - around the corner from the microbrew and two blocks to the Choo Choo and shuttle bus that runs downtown. Easy access to I-24 and short drive to the Ocoee River for rafting. Great experience.

We had a family reunion in Chattanooga and 5 of us stayed at the Artists Gallery Residence. We loved it. The owners were very helpful and suggested a great place (Bluegrass Grill) for breakfast that was only half a block from our VRBO. It was delicious. The best biscuits that I have eaten. We really enjoyed looking at all the fabulous art pieces in our residence and the rooms were immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely return again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation stay in Chattanooga.

We recently rented this residence on a family visit to Chattanooga. The host were warm and made you feel at home. The residence was clean, tastefully decorated and serene. It had all the ammenties that you would ever need provided and was close to the shuttle that went to all the sites downtown. We never moved our car. This was a great residence to rent. Not only was it tastefully decorated it was serene. We loved the residence and the beautiful artwork displayed through-out. It was alot of fun having the family together rather than in seperate hotel rooms. I would recommend to anyone planning a trip to the Chattanooga area.

Dear Miki & Tom, Thank you for hosting our family of 6 in your wonderful home over the 4th of July. We had a fantastic time! Your home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and we had plenty of room. Also, your recommendations for restaurants and activities were extremely helpful. We especially enjoyed Lupi's Pizza and Ruby Falls. Thank you for providing the little extras such as cold water bottles and toiletries (shampoo, soap, extra toothbrush, etc...) -- you thought of everything! We look forward to visiting again!

My husband and I rented this apartment for a long weekend - it was AMAZING! You are surrounded by great art in a very cozy and comfortable setting. The location is in a great spot - right on the edge of downtown - a block or 2 from the Choo-Choo. Micki and Tom are wonderful hosts and I'm sure we will be seeing them again soon!

We're moving to Chattanooga and building a home in the area, and we needed a special place to work on our plans, take a break from the process, and to relax and unwind. We found a beautiful home-away-from-home in the "Artist's Residence", and we made two dear friends in Tom and Miki. They treated us like family, made sure we were doing okay, and focused on making our stay comfortable and as stress-free as possible. They introduced us to a few of the many attractions in Chattanooga, and reassured us that we were going to love living here. If you seek a warm and cozy place to stay, and if you love meeting hosts who go out of their way to make sure that you're enjoying your visit, then look no farther than Miki and Tom's "Artist's Residence"!

This was an excellent rental experience for so many reasons. First, the property was immaculately clean. Second, the hosts were gracious and helpful throughout the week. They made us feel at home in this wonderful city. Finally, the location was just right. It's about a block out of the hubbub of town, so it's quiet, but within a quick walk to the electric shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go. Basically, we found we could park our car in front of the rental and leave it there for the week. Good restaurants are within walking distance as well, most notably the Terminal Brewhouse and Niko's Southside Grill. As a side note, this is also a very vegetarian friendly city.

My husband and I and a couple friend of ours came to Chattanooga for a weekend trip - just to get away. We were so pleased at our stay here at Artists Residence! All I can say is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! The house is so warm, inviting, and relaxing, it made you not want to leave! It was very clean and well-maintained. You can tell they take care of the property. The art was amazing and the color scheme flowed so well. They are so talented! What I loved the most was it was so accommodating and much better than staying at a hotel. We had everything we needed to complete our stay and didn't have to buy anything but food! I even brought extra things such as coffee filters, salt & pepper, tea, sugar but they had it all! Miki & Paul thought of everything! I also liked the fact that in the half bath, there was dental floss, extra toothbrushes, nail clipper kit, etc. just in case you forgot to bring something, they had it! They thought of the "little things". It’s like your own little apartment. We saved a lot of money by going to the grocery store and cooking our own meals - so the kitchen came in handy! There is also a small BBQ grill on the back patio as well as charcoals. And they have BBQ utensils you can use as well. There is also a Scrabble game, Backgammon, and Rubiks game that you can play. They also have a nice little video library. This house is in a very convenient spot and in a very nice neighborhood. There is a free electric shuttle just down the street that will take you to the Aquarium. Ruby Falls is only about a 10 minute drive and there is a Wal-Mart not far from there. If ever we are in Chattanooga again, we will definitely stay here at Artists Residence and not at a hotel. The price is reasonable and the experience was well worth it. Miki and Paul did not make you feel rushed to check out either - not like at a hotel where you have to be out at a certain time. Thanks again Miki & Paul for your hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely tell all our friends about you!

This place is so much better than the online pictures portray. It is amazing! Each one of us walked in and said "Wow!" It is literally an art gallery and a two bedroom apartment. We stayed in and cooked and hung out on the front porch. The whole place is clean, clean, clean and beautiful and comfortable. The owners are delightful people who want you to enjoy. I highly recommend this one.

I was amazed at this place. My wife was thrilled. The thought that obviously went into the design and decoration of this property really shows. The photos do show a very accurate depiction of the property, but its even better than the photos. Extremely clean and well kept. The owners was easy to deal with and very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to a friend except that they may want to use it when I do. Oh well! Great location, easy to walk to attractions. I loved the walk to breakfast locations, except when we cooked breakfast in. Everything you need, just bring the makings. Dinner restaurants are varied and the food was excellent. The owners would be glad to make recommendations for you. We learned that the owners rehabbed this property themselves and the gentleman is a master carpenter and both of them are serious art lovers. It really shows and made us feel like we were home. We were there in December and it was very comfortable, homey, warm. A stay in Chattanooga can only be improved upon with a home like this to live in for a week or a month. Check it out. We were very happy with the whole thing.
