Tucked back from the road, fully fenced and gated with crushed granite pathways and native plantings, this small hideaway is a chic home away from home. Pick baby lettuces from the organic garden for dinner from garden beds filled with herbs, lettuces and other edibles which are just part of the beauty here. Inside this warm and inviting cottage enjoy vaulted ceilings, skylights, expansive window walls that have been redone from top to bottom creating an airy open style floor plan. The chef's kitchen is fully equipped and offers top of line glass fronted Subzero and Wolf appliances. A large, honed, marble work island takes center stage with seating for 4 and the adjacent dining area seats 12. Full of unexpected touches you won't find anywhere else: includes a bar area with stocked wine refrigerator, Nespresso coffee maker, a small library of cookbooks, gourmet everything plus state of the art LCD flat screen TV, wireless computer hookup.
The Master bedroom is privately situated and equipped with a pillowy king bed with flannel sheets and state of the art flat screen LCD TV, bathroom with walk in shower. The main, open living area includes a custom, queen sleeper sofa with drapery wall creating an additional sleeping area that has expansive views of the nature lagoon and Mt. Tamalpais...some of the finest views in Stinson Beach. The property includes a full size Bocce ball court, a short walk to the beach and access to private tennis courts nearby which completes the perfect Seadrift experience. Of course, a stay here means no room service or valet but we hand you the keys and leave you in peace... a peaceful walk on the beach....or a quiet nap in the sun.

Why the Owner Chose Stinson Beach
This magical cottage is one of only 19 homes located on the deepwater, nature preserve lagoon nearly at the end of the Seadrift pennisula. There are stunning views of seals, pelicans and many other bird wildlife right outside the cottage. In the early morning the fog hugs the perfectly calm water in the lagoon and then watch as a seal or two may pop up and look right at you...or pelicans in formation will fly right overhead... all of this with the stunning backdrop of Mt. Tamalpais. Then at dusk, the light turns to gold and then sometimes if it is foggy the light has a silvery glow. Either way it does not get better than being able to witness all of this while enjoying this perfect setting.

Stinson Beach is a unique beach community nearby Bolinas and Point Reyes National Seashore. With spectacular views of nearly 1100 acres of protected national parks this home is truly unique. In addition the house is set back from the road yet has gorgeous crushed granite areas to relax on or dine al-fresco watching the sun set and the morning tides come in. Raised garden beds and native plantings with a full-sized bocce ball court have been created on the expansive grounds of this very special one bedroom beach home. Just a short walk to down the road to the beach makes this the perfect place to go for a run on the beach in the early morning before anyone is up or for an afternoon stroll just as the sun begins to sink low in the sky.

My husband I have lived in Marin County for several years and love the proximity to the ocean and stunning coastline vistas. When we bought our Stinson Beach cottage in Seadrift it represented an opportunity to relax and be a world away and yet be so nearby San Francisco and the Bay Area. Even when the weather is cold and foggy it is magical here. Hard to believe this place is barely an hour from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco.
