This unique cabin, located in the Sequoia National Forest (Giant Sequoia National Monument), 26 miles east of Springville in Ponderosa, offers a quiet mountain retreat in a beautiful, pine-covered setting for those who enjoy outdoor sports or simply sitting by the old-fashioned pot belly stove with a good book.
The cabin has beds for five but will accommodate seven people if you use the couch in the downstairs living room.
The Mountain Pine cabin is perfect for a family. The first floor studio area comes complete with kitchen facilities, living room with TV/VCR (we have Satellite), potbelly stove, and bathroom. Upstairs in the loft area is a queen bed and a private bedroom that sleeps three. Located on an outside deck is a barbecue and patio table and chairs.
Please note that this cabin unit is attached to our Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast may be purchased for a fee.

Year Purchased: 1996
After retiring from Southern California, we came to the Sequoia National Forest where we had a cabin in Camp Nelson for five years. We loved the area so much that we decided to live up here and we purchased a cabin that was suitable for a Bed and Breakfast. We are volunteer fire fighters, EMT's and involved in all mountain organizations.
Why the Owner Chose Ponderosa
We love the great trails, huge trees, cool temperatures, and no crowds. Most of all, we love that we can snowmobile right out of our driveway to snowmobile trails. Best of all, we can drive out of the snow in less than 30 minutes.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Stocked trout fishing, great hiking trails to giant sequoias, mountain biking, scenic vistas, close to river rafting, rock climbing available, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, walking distance to a great Tavern and Restaurant and all within several hours of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Best of all is that there is no waiting in lines and no crowds.
