This is a beautiful, 3 bed/ 2 bath with a master suite on the bottom floor. Includes an office with wifi, a fully set up kitchen, and laundry. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Centrally located in Sarasota, minutes drive to siesta, the airport, and shopping.
This is a beautifully situated home at the end of a dead end street with dense trees and a fence providing wonderful privacy. Located in the heart of Sarasota, 5 miles from siesta beach, 9 miles from the Sarasota/Bradenton airport. Located near the cross streets of Lockwood Ridge and BeeRidge Rd.
It’s a two story house with a loft style floor plan giving the interior a very bright and spacious feel. The master bedroom on the first floor provides comfort and convenience with two additional rooms on the second story. A library or office area overlooks the first floor. Feel free to use the WiFi, printer, and paper for no additional charge! A large kitchen with an almost endless amount of counter space and clean new appliances make cooking a real pleasure. Hardwood floors throughout the entire house, excluding the kitchen and bathrooms, give the interior a very classy yet comfortable style. The wood burning fireplace with fully stocked wood pile in back yard will make evenings at home truly enjoyable. If you happen to be bringing a boat and trailer with you there is a spot to park it. It's under a tree so bring your cover if you plan to stay long! Don't forget to take advantage of the Weber gas grill to cook the fresh fish you caught from all of your fishing trips.
The location incorporates the best of all worlds by being perfectly centralized you are: 7min/3.75 miles from I75, 13 min/5.08 miles from Siesta Beach, 8min/3.14 miles from Sarasota Memorial Hospital, 8min/4.04miles from Home Depot/Wal-Mart, 6 min/2.07 miles from Westfield/Southgate mall, 11 min/4.94 miles from Sarasota Square Mall.
This location gives you the perfect starting point for all of what Sarasota has to offer. Here's a list of my favorite sites: Siesta Beach, Saint Armand's Circle, Siesta Village, Downtown, Ringling Museum and the Cà d'Zan, Parkway 8 Dollar Movie Theater, Florida Studio Theater, Keating Theater, Van Wezel, Point of Rocks, Sarasota Sailing Squadron, Golden Apple Dinner Theater, Bayfront Park, and many more. Don't forget you're not too far from some other great areas like Busch Gardens in Tampa, Burn's Steak House in Tampa, Shark Tooth Beach in Venice...the list goes on!
A real gem of a house that is a quiet tropical sanctuary in the middle of Sarasota.
For additional views of the exterior of the house and surrounding neighborhood you can enter the address of the home into Google maps. If you click the picture of the home on the map you'll access a virtual tour of the street. Navigate down the street to the last house on the left. The house is very difficult to see from the street because of the fence and trees, but you can get a real good idea about the area. I hope this helps you in your home rental search!

Why the Owner Chose Flora Villa
In 2002, with much reluctance, I moved to Sarasota from Colorado. Shortly after arriving I began discovering the wonders of Sarasota. Everyday brought new discoveries and surprises. Before I knew it Sarasota had become my new home. I started calling friends back in Colorado to tell them the paradise I had discovered, and since then several have moved here and have come to call it home as well.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Sarasota is my playground. It has some great golf courses and amazing restaurants but then again so does every city in FL. The real discoveries are what set it apart from every other city in FL. The first place to explore is Siesta Beach. The first thing you notice is the massive width but then you step foot onto the sand and realize it’s like nothing you’ve felt before…soft as flour and cool to the touch…even at noon during the hottest months of the year the sand is never too hot to walk across. Here are a couple insider secrets: go to Siesta Beach just before sunset on Sundays and let the sound of drums be your guide, walk south on Siesta Beach until you reach a sea wall then get into the water with a mask, snorkel, and fins and explore “point of rocks”. Now go into Siesta Village for lunch. Then stop by Saint Armand’s Circle for a little shopping, some music, dinner, and most importantly ice cream. Take my word for it and go to Settimi’s for ice cream. The next day check out Main Street in the downtown area for some more fun shops and a great dinner. While you’re downtown find the Florida Studio Theater / Keating Theater and take in a show. Check out the John and Mable Ringling Museum and the Cà d'Zan you won’t be disappointed. The list goes on…how about a two dollar movie? It’s on the southeast corner of Lockwood Ridge Dr. and University. For an interesting and educational experience go to the Mote Marine Center where you’ll find an amazing aquarium and science research facility fully equipped with sharks, sea turtles, manatees, and dolphins. If you time it right you can watch the dolphin feeding which is pretty cool. When you’re done keep heading to the end of Ken Thompson Parkway and explore the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. You’ll find all sorts of fun and interesting sailboats to see. Ask for Walt and have a conversation with an old salty sea hand. Most likely he’ll be cooking something, and he’ll offer you a taste.

I have stayed in this house several times within the last year for long weekends. I was so impressed by the comfort and cleanliness of the house that I couldn't help but to keep returning whenever the opportunity arose. The beds are incredibly comfortable! It is situated in a nice neighborhood with friendly, quiet neighbors. The yard is a perfect place for kids to get their energy out!
