The pool house is on a lush green 5 acre estate surrounded by pastoral views. This second story cottage overlooks the 24 by 48 foot modern salt pool, kiddie pool, and spa and boasts a full length sunny patio on the second story and a deeply shaded pavilion with comfortable cushioned patio furniture at pool level. The pavilion is complete with with barbeque facilities, a generous outdoor stone fireplace and a second downstairs, outside accessible pool bathroom and shower.

The pool house is one bedroom with a plush queen pillow top mattress, down pillows, and Egyptian cotton high thread count bedding.

The bedroom has an adjoining all tile bathroom with a large double headed shower, granite counter tops, and extra large capacity washer and dryer.

This modern kitchenette has a large farm style apron front sink, convection microwave oven, and double drawer Fisher-Peykel dishwasher, double drawer refrigerator freezer with ice maker, generous white cabinets, travertine backsplash, and granite countertop, all in neutral colors complete the old world look.

The living room, with darkly stained hand hewn beams, walnut colored genuine hardwood floor is surrounded by windows that overlook the pool and surrounding country side. Living room seating includes a couch, love seat and two wingback chairs by the second stone fireplace for lounging, reading or even watching the 42" flat screen satellite TV. Ceiling fans throughout as well as central heat and air conditioning. Couches can be used for additional sleeping area for young ones.

Pool house overlooks a 50 foot grassy paddock available to folks who come to ride the many endurance trails. Check on your horse from the deck as often as desired.

Poolhouse is very nicely appointed. Pets will be considered on a individual basis.

  • Double shower, 300 square foot balcony overlooking pool, heated spa, kiddie pool, ranch views, upscale accommodations, outside and indoor gas rock fireplaces, large covered area near pool, park like surroundings, paddock for up to two horses, and outdoor barbeque area, two children could sleep in the living room on the airbed, couches or wood floor.
• Suitability
  • Pet Friendly: Pets are allowed on an approval basis. Dogs must be house broken or stay outside in a provided dog run. Dogs may not chew on furniture or woodwork.
  • Kid Friendly: The pool house is separate from the pool area by fencing so little kids have a barrier.
  • Minimum Age Limit for Renters: Babies are desirable. Jeanne and Bob are looking forward to some day being grandparents.
  • Smoking Not Allowed: We allow no smoking in and out of the pool house, neither do we allow smoking on the grounds. We are quite strict about this.

  • My husband and I stayed 3 nights while visiting and we enjoyed everyday. This is great for a family as we barbecued and enjoyed the pool and spa. The Pool House is beauitful and every comfortable. Bob and Jeanne were very helpful. I highly reccommend if you want a getaway to the foothills.

  • Exceeded our expectations! We have stayed at more than a dozen VRBO properties over the years and this by far was the most beautiful accommodation. Bob and Jeanne have provided all the luxury you could find in a 5 star hotel and gone a step further by filling your fridge with beverages and breakfast fixings and your cupboard with snacks. Jeanne also left us wonderful tomatoes picked fresh from her garden. The property is gorgeous. The landscaping is beautiful and as mentioned in other comments the pool is HUGE. Not only do they have a dog run where we could have kept our dog Lucy if we left the property but since the property is fenced in Lucy had the run of the place. They even provided dog treats to make Lucy feel at home. This place is a must for people looking to enjoy what the area has to offer or to just relax like we did and never have to leave. Bob and Jeanne have created a tranquil, idyllic and most welcoming environment for their guests and we look forward to enjoying this property again.

  • Thank you Bob and Jeanne for such a wonderful experience! My stay was incredible. The pool house itself is amazing and the owners have sparred no expense - molding, two fireplaces, marble, granite, hardwood floors, dual showerheads - it’s absolutely gorgeous! The pool is one of the largest I’ve seen and is perfectly clear and the spa is wonderful especially at night. Bob and Jeanne were fantastic hosts and even had cold Diet Coke (my favorite drink) stocked in the refrigerator upon my arrival. The place was immaculate and was prepared like a high-end hotel room with every convenience. I travel frequently for both business and pleasure and it is rare to find a place so beautiful and hosts as thoughtful. I was also impressed with Auburn, which has plenty of activities including hiking trials, horseback riding, and wine tasting. I can’t wait to come back again!

  • My wife and kids and I have made multiple trips to Auburn to visit family over the years. We are always disappointed with the lack of nice accommodations in the area. Our problem has been solved. We went searching for vacation rentals and/or B&Bs in the area, and Voila. The outdoor area is wonderful: the pool is larger than life, while the hot-tub is nestled close to the bungalow and patio/BBQ area for a perfect 'play in the day', 'relax in the evening' experience. The bungalow itself is like a small, high-end apartment - perfectly equipped, very clean, very comfortable. And yes, plasma TV and Wireless Internet. The hosts were gracious and eager to make our experience flawless. I asked where the nearest Starbucks was located, and within 30 minutes we had freshly ground coffee and a french press in the kitchenette. While the area is packed with things to do (rafting, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, iron-man racing if you like), the historical significance of Placer County is unmatched - this area is the focal point of the 1849 Gold Rush - my wife and I spend many hours visiting Old Town Auburn and the surrounding gold country. Clearly the owners (Robert and Jeanne) are in it for their passion to provide a perfect vacation experience and NOT to make money on this property - they can't be. Before we left, my brother, who lives locally, said he will rent this property for a quick weekend getaway for he and his wife - especially for the pool and barbecue area. My family and I will be back whenever we visit the area - there is no place of better value and stress-free demeanor in the area.
