Girls Week on the Gulf

The owner of this condo has high standards and it shows. They emailed us after our arrival to make sure everything was satisfactory (it was) and offered to answer any questions. The condo itself was perfect for our group of four. It is located on the 8th floor with great views of the Gulf of Mexico. We were able to sit on the deck and even on the couch by the deck doors and watch the dolphins swim by. The condo's front door is steps from the elevator. Leaving the lobby of the Ocean House you are steps to the pool and the beach beyond. We found the condo and its surrounding property to be clean, quiet & family-friendly. The condo is beautiful and has everything you need. The $20 parking pass is a great deal; there was always parking right next to the main level entrance. Carts are provided for moving luggage in and out. I can't think of any reason not to stay here. Gulf Shores offers lots to do and so many good restaurants! I recommend the oreo cheesecake at Hope's Cheesecake. A bit pricey but worth it (hey you are on vacation)! Also really liked the pizza at Papa Rocco's. Great for eating in the condo after a great day at the beach or shopping the outlet mall at Foley. Also liked Sea & Suds, Ribs n Reds and The Shrimp Basket. We used Pleasure Island Parasail out of Orange Beach for a fun time parasailing. Great operation with a fun crew. Highly recommend this condo in Ocean House II and would love to return again someday.

Next time, also try Old World Bakery for carry-out pizza and also sandwiches and salads. Papa Rocco's and Old World are both good. And sometimes you need a break from seafood - but not often. Beautiful View!

This is the first time we have ever rented a condo, and it was awesome! It was just as the photos show on the site...what a beautiful view. This unit is tastefully decorated, and has has all of the amenities you could ever need. The kids enjoyed riding the "boogie boards" and the sand toys, while the adults enjoyed the beach chairs. I loved the set up the bedrooms. It gave the younger kids their own space as well as ours. The beds were very comfortable, and very much enjoyed opening the sliders to the open gulf. Weather could have not been better. Thank you Ellen for providing this condo...we would stay again and recommend to others.

My family's trip to Gulf Shores was wonderful. This condo was exactly as it is showed on the website. The owner, was extremely pleasant to work with. Condo was very clean, furnished well and plenty of linens provided with extra beach chairs, towels & little things to play with in the ocean. The location was perfect! Close to everything, only a short drive to shop, eat etc. We enjoyed watching the dolphins from our balcony early in the mornings while enjoying our coffee. This was my parents first time to Gulf Shores, and they said it was by far the best vacation! Very relaxing vacation! Can't wait to come back!

My family and I stayed the last week of Sept 2011. The condo was great and the weather was perfect. Ellen was so wonderful to work with. I will definitely be staying here again! The condo had everything and more. I have two small children and the pool is perfect for them. The zero entry really made it easy for them to get in and out by themselves.

Ocean House II

Our trip to the Gulf Shores was wonderful! This condo was exactly as described and extremely clean. No worries in having enough linens or other supplies it was all there. We had two children and four adults and it was very spacious for our stay. The owner was very kind and organized with details. There are many places in the nearby area to visit and take the kids to. The zero entry pool was great for the little ones. I would recommend this to anyone with this size family, and will look forward to staying here in the future. P.S. We went in mid-September and couldn't have had a better time to go.

Our family had a wonderful vacation! We were traveling with a 6 month old baby and the condo was perfectly equipped! We loved the bedroom arrangements, the super balcony and the location. We had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy the beach and our grandchildren.

Ellen was so great to work with me as I planned a vacation for my family that included a one-year-old. The condo has that extra touch that is noticed right when you walk into the room. Great view, great pool, and we loved that we didn't feel cramped in the space. We have stayed in Gulf Shores before, and this was our best accomodations to date! We would love to go back!

Great place

This is a great place to stay. It has a wonderful view of the beach, was very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything needed to enjoy the stay. It was great having chairs, towels, and toys provided that we could take to the beach as well as games and things to do in the condo once the sun went down. We really enjoyed seeing the full moon at night and watching the dolphins during the day from the balcony.

Golf getaway

I actually did not get to go on the trip, but my husband and father did, and they loved the condo and the location. The weather was windy and chilly, but they still had a relaxing time watching my son play in his golf tournament and relaxing at the condo.I can saw Ellen, the owner was great to work with on the reservations, and would definitely book another stay at this condo.

5 weeks at Gulf Shores - most relaxing and friendly

We had the pleasure to stay at this location for 5 wonderful and relaxing weeks. The condo was clean and comfortable with a GREAT view of the Gulf and beach. Having stayed in other locations on the beach, this one was far superior and access to the beach so easy. We had our grandkids for a week and they used the spare room with the bathroom which cut down on a wait times and kept things in order. The owners were accommodating and helpful in every way and manner. Just nice people. The beach was clean, water clear and they did have workers cleaning the beach on a daily basis. The Dolphins were in the Gulf and could be seen from the 8th floor. The new large Flat screen TV and with a TV in each room allowed for all to view their favourite shows, but only when the sun set, stay on the balcony for that experience. The elevator is fast. We shall be back..

We stayed a week in January. The weather was sunny and the temps were in the 60s which meant afternoons were spent in the sun out on the balcony. The condo is nice and the bed was comfortable. I tried hard to sound sympathetic when I called home where it was bone-chilling cold. We'll be back!

Vacation Paradise

This was a terrific vacation at Gulf Shores in October. We stayed a week and wish we could have stayed longer. The condo had the most wonderful view of the gulf, sunrise, beach, and dolphins with very comfortable seating on the balcony. The accomodations were fantastic. Comfy beds and furniture to curl up on to read or watch TV. It was especially nice to have kitchen cooking items and laundry items already there. We loved it and recommend it very much. Ocean House II-2803--Excellent

My family and just completed our stay over the 4th of July Weekend. I must say the 2803 is a great place to stay with a beautiful view. Don't believe all the Media Hype about the oil in the water or on the shores. We spent ample time in the ocean every day. The pool is great with zero entry on each side. Ellen is a pleasure to deal with from the management side. If you want to goto the beach and looking for a 2 bedroom place.....you cannot find a better place and owner.

We had a wonderful experience at this property. The photos were exactly what we got. The condo was clean and had all the comforts of home. Ellen was so helpful and friendly, such a nice person to work with. It was my first time in Gulf Shores, I went with my son and his 9 year old daughter. A good time was had by all. On Friday, my granddaughter asked if we could just spend 1 more week. She loved the white sand, the pool and the many meals we had on the balcony. We even saw dolphins from the balcony! I would recommend this condo.

We just got back from our stay in Gulf Shores and rented a condo from Ellen and Richard Greer. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to visit Alabama and wants to stay right by the beach. The condo was neat, clean, and adorable! We felt right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed walking right out to the pool and beach every morning and the weather was perfect. Ellen was so easy to work with and very sweet. She made sure everything was ready and that all our questions were answered. She was also very easy to get a hold of. We would come back in a heart beat!! Thank you Ellen!!

This is definitely one of the nicest accomodations we have had in over 10 years of vacationing in Destin and Gulf Shores. Our first experience with VRBO has been positive and we will definitely rent with the Greers again if circumstances permit next year. We very much appreciated the thought shown with the kitchen items provided as we like to buy seafood at Billy's in Bon Secour and "cook in". The Taylor's from Tennessee.

Beautiful condo....it was decorated very nicely and the master bed was very comfortable. We appreciated having the stocked kitchen and not having to run to the store right away upon our arrival. The beach chairs were great (saved us some money!) and the HBO and DVDs came in handy the day it rained. Thanks again, Ellen. Ellen, we had the most enjoyable time when we visited just recently 8/25/09. The condo was lovely, you have it decorated very nicely and there was so much room, not to mention the view from the balcony is breathtaking! We could walk out on it a million times and each time it would take our breath away seeing something new! The dolphins coming out in the evening were a real treat! You were a pleasure to talk with on the phone about all the details and your sense of humor is great! You couldn't have been sweeter! This is a lovely vacation complex! The setting is quiet and beautiful, and the pool is incredible! The zero-depth feature of the pool was great for our little granddaughter. The floor plan of the condo is perfect, and the amenities make it truly a home-away-from home!
