Incredible Week at Casa Las NubesGuest comment entered by manager
Incredible Week at Casa Las Nubes
We just sadly left our jungle oasis at Casa Las Nubes. What an incredible house and property this was. The house is architecturally stunning and the amenities are second to none. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived and were so thankful to Diego and Bill, our house concierges, for their constant help every time we turned around. They took us on nature hikes around the property, always finding a Sloth or a particular bird that completely eluded the rest of us. All reservations at local eateries were handled for us and our zip-lining excursion as well. What a blast that was! The house was hard to leave it was such a beautiful setting. Completely indoor/outdoor living. Sunsets from the house were a ritual, then dinner and early to bed so we could get up between 5:00 and 6:00 am to hear all the waking jungle sounds. We did go hiking in the National Park but truly saw more animals on the Tulemar property. White Faced Monkey's all over and we heard a Howler or two but never actually saw them. Lots of Sloths, birds and the house Iguana, Larry. Everyone was so nice and helpful, it was the nicest vacation we have ever had. Thank you one and all for an outstanding stay. Slightly Better Than Heaven...
You know how it is when you see incredible photos of a property and the real thing doesn't approach the photos? Well, this is just the opposite. As good as the many pictures were, we weren't prepared for the spectacular house that was our home for one week. From the moment we entered the front door, we were very, very impressed. The materials including floors, doors, furniture, appliances, etc. were all top drawer. The views...incomparable! The concierge, Diego Morales, made the trip. He was there when you needed him to arrange day trips, make restaurant reservations, provide transportation, etc. He was always available and always had a big smile. Tulemar is a wonderful, safe and secluded setting on a private beach. There's even food and umbrella service at the beach. Bottom line is that it's one of the best vacations our family every spent. It was just much too brief. Two families went to Costa Rica together, 4 adults and 3 teen age kids. There was plenty of room for all and everyone can't wait to return.

A Little Piece of Heaven!Guest comment entered by manager
A Little Piece of Heaven!
Tulemar is definitely a little piece of heaven, and I almost don’t know where to start!! We stayed in Casa Las Nubas, and the moment we arrived we knew we had picked the perfect accommodations!! Before even arriving, Howard, the owner of Casa Las Nubas had spent a lot of time on the phone with us; filling us in on everything we needed to know. And we arrived this amazing house took our breath away!! Diego our concierge was waiting with his friendly smile and a cool drink. After already talking at length with Diego and his wonderful wife Vanessa, organizing everything for our 11 day stay, I already felt comfortable with Diego. And by the end of our stay, we felt like their wonderful family were now our friends. As far as Tulemar itself, I don’t think Howard could have picked a better spot to build his amazing house. The staff in the office at Tulemar do everything in their power to make sure you pick the best accommodations to suit your needs. Never once did I feel pressured to pick a certain villa. Del Mar listened to what I was looking for and did everything in his power to see that I got exactly what I was looking for. Our children had decided to plan out our whole day for our 22nd Wedding Anniversary, as a gift and I know my son Cole must have driven poor Del Mar nuts, because he wanted to make sure every detail was perfect. But never once did Del Mar make him feel like he was bothering him too much!! Del Mar even stayed at work long after he should have gone home to get the house ready for our arrival back in the evening. There were roses and candles everywhere!!! Thanks again Del Mar!!! The beach at Tulemar is one of the best assets that Tulemar has. The water was like swimming in your bath tub and the boogie boards made it even more enjoyable!!! It was so nice arriving at the beach and having everything done for you!! They asked you how many loungers you wanted, if you wanted umbrellas for shade and also brought you clean towels. There was also a bar that served drinks and food. What more could you ask for?

Magical!Guest comment entered by manager
The house, the property and the staff are fantastic!!!! We are all seasoned travellers, but this place tops it all. Diego and his wife Vanessa took great care of us, suggested and organized all the trips and gave excellent ideas for fun things to do. The owner sent us a friendly email with detailed information, fabulous suggestions, hints, and had fruits waiting for us at the house! The house is so beautiful, really one of a kind, the property is marvelous, the staff competent beyond words. We saw monkeys, sloths, birds of all types, and many other animals. The beach is wonderful, and we loved all the awesome bodyboarding. The whole thing was magical and we will never forget it. Simply put: Pura vida!

Casa Las Nubes - A little slice of paradise!
We just returned from our week at Casa Las Nubes in Tulemar. The house far exceeded our expectations. The pictures online really do not do it justice! Everything from the architecture, decor, grounds and amenities were stunning. The Tulemar community is amazing. It is gated, secure with a private beach just a few minutes walk away. The beach is beautiful and all of the beach gear your kids need are right there for your use. Hiking trails and wildlife galore. We saw all kinds of monkeys, sloths and George the Iguana! The staff at Casa Las Nubes was by far the most friendly and attentive that I have ever experienced. We have stayed at other homes over the years and nothing compares to the service we received at Casa Las Nubes. Vanessa handled all of our excursions reservations and groceries list before our arrival. Diego and Bill were at the house daily to send us off to our excursions and in the evening checked in to make sure we were satisfied and make our dinner reservations. We felt like VIP's (the term my 13 year old used)! Chef Chris cooked for us one evening and we were blown away by the meal! He was awesome! We are already trying to figure out when we can make the trip again! The house, staff, community, excursions, food and SERVICE deserve 10 stars!

Fabulous!Guest comment entered by manager
Our family of 5 stayed at Cas Las Nubes for two weeks from the end of July and had a wonderful time. The views from the house were breath-taking. Just from the house we saw three kinds of monkeys, sloths, a 7 foot boa constrictor, a whale and dolphins (ok, they were specks but we saw them!) bats and a scorpion! Tulemar has rich wildlife and the walk to the beach from the house was fun with the monkeys! The family had a blast playing in the waves on the beach, very peaceful there and the burgers and tropical salad at the beach cafe are the best! Danielle and the bar staff are very friendly and made good cocktails. Diego, Bill and Vanessa were very efficient and well organized, planning trips for us, grocery shopping and making sure the house was in good working order and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the rafting and canopy tours, as well as the visit to the wildlife sanctuary with the rescued monkeys, all arranged by Diego on our request. Chris the private chef was very good although there was plenty of food! The private infinity edge pool was big enough to have plenty of fun and enjoy the views. The house is beautifully designed but the age recommendation is wise as it would be hazardous for anyone under 10! Thanks for a great time everyone and hopefully we shall return one day.

We loved Casa Las Nubes. 6 adults - 2 'old' parents and 2 'kids' in their 20's with significant others - spent a week there and loved every minute, from when we walked in and saw the water literally under our feet to the monkeys cavorting just off the balcony (but they never ventured inside) to the great layout of the bedrooms and living/kitchen areas. The service from Diego and Vanessa was exceptional and personal. They were attentive and spoiled us. We didn't even rent a car. The beach service with Daniella and David and Luis was great. The beach food was very good, as were the drinks. We had Kristopher come and cook for us on 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. I would go back and rent this home or pretty much any of the others in Tulemar that we saw. The views, the service, the house, the beach, the wildlife, all were literally over the top of our expectations.

Manager response: Thanks, Kelly, for the wonderful review of Casa las Nubes. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. The villa, the award winning design and the ocean views are really amazing. As you mentioned, the resort of Tulemar, where we are located has its own beach! Lots of wildlife here too! Diego, the house manager, knows the best tour guides and restaurants in the area. Kris, our private chef, is a treat for that special dinner. We'd love to have you back again! Dave Houck Casa las Nubes Tulemar

"An amazing adventure"
My friend and I went to Casa Las Nubes for a week get-away and to escape the dreary overcast of Seattle. We were not disappointed. The photos and descriptions on the website are amazing, but cannot capture the shear beauty of this place. Whether I was watching the sunset from the infinity pool in the living room or playing in the waves at the private beach there was always some natural wonder to experience. There were plenty of activities to do in the surrounding area too. By far the best though was the Rafiki Lodge river rafting tour. Going down the river there with class 3-4 (I think) rapids was exciting but not difficult. The guides were great. About half way thought the trip we stopped on a bank and hiked up a hill to a waterfall where we did a little cliff jumping into the lagoon below (only like 20 feet). I think all together we did around 9 different activities in the week that we were there (surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, zip-lining, river rafting, a rain forest tour, hiking, yoga lessons, and an in house massage) so we had plenty to do. The house manager Diego was a great host as well; he set up all of our activities and took care of anything else we needed. It’s hard to adequately describe this place in words. I had read the reviews and seen the photos before the trip so I had fairly high expectations and I was still completely blown away when I got there and actually experienced everything. I will definitely be going back!

"Better than we ever could have hoped for!"
A group of us went to Costa Rica for my son's wedding, so as the group grew, we had to rent two casas. We were in Casa Las Nubes, and that is the casa I will speak of. From the moment we arrived, until the shuttle picked us up to go back to San Jose airport, our property manager, Diego, and concierge, Bill could not have been more helpful! (Before our arrival, Vanessa also helped us tremendously through emails.) By the end of our stay, we wanted to take them all home with us! The property looks special on the website, but all of us were in awe of it when we got there. Absolutely beautiful, from the pool to the bedrooms, to the views!! We enjoyed the monkeys who visited daily, and there was lots of bird watching to be done. It was nice to have the private beach to spend time at, along with some really good eating places within walking distance (if you don't mind hills). The wedding was performed on the private beach at sunset, and could not have been more perfect. We are all planning our next trip to this great location. People ask me what I liked best, and I'd have to say being in the pool at sunset with a glass of wine, along with meeting our new friends, Diego, Vanessa, and Bill.

Treat yourself to this unmatched experience, all the way around! The property, house, staff and private beach are all amazing! Feel the beautiful outdoors from inside your kitchen with the all open main living space. Keep the master bedroom open as well or close up and chill out with the crisp air conditioning. The private negative edge pool offered gorgeous views overlooking the ocean. A+++++ I will definitely return someday!

"Top Notch in all aspects"
My wife and I went with another couple to celebrate my 40th. From the moment we arrived at Casa Las Nubes, we were overwhelmed, and within a day had already declared this the best vacation any of us had taken, and still had 6 days to go! Diego and Chris, the house managers, were able to help us with every aspect of our trip, be it surfing lessons or an amazing dinner prepared at the house. Photos of the house don't do it justice. Walking in, you feel like you just stepped into MTV Cribs. The house is wide open to an amazing view of the jungle and pacific and we were always out on the porch, soaking in the view. The pool is incorprated brilliantly into the house...literally into the house and was a constant source of entertainment. We stayed in 4 out of seven nights, not because of lack of dining options but because none of them could compare with the house and Chris, the chef, who prepared three meals for us which were the highlight of our trip. I'm sure this sounds like an ad and quite frankly, i don't care! i will be back, as i couldn't imagine outdoing this wonderful week

This was our 3rd trip to Tulemar Gardens. On March 17th we got married on the beach of Tulemar with our family and closest friends. We stayed @ Casa Las Nubes for a week. The house is amazing. Its a true jewel equiped to the max. Between the indoor pool and the master suite bathroom thats opens up to the monkey bridge- this house has it all. There was never a want or need the entire time on property. We will return anually and Casa Las Nubes will always be 1st pick. Diego,Chris, and Melissa are a treat.

My extended family went to CR for a family vacation, 18 of us. We own a condo in Buena Vista but could not fit all. some of our family rented Casa Las Nubes in Tulemar and it was incredible. All the 5 star ratings are not an exageration. It is over the top beautiful, has too many fabulous features to name, view incredible, comfortabel in every way. And Diego Morales who takes care of the home is a treasure indeed, there for your every need. It was a vacation memory that we will all not forget. The management and owner does an incredible job here. Lastly, for what you get incredibly priced!

Casa Las Nubes - It's Heaven
Casa Las Nubes truly can be described as Heaven. It is a beautiful home with all the amenities needed for luxury and comfort. The house is nestled in a beautiful botanical garden that every morning gave pleasure to wake up to with a great cup of coffee, (local beans of course) the playing sound of monkeys and the singing of the hummingbirds. We were so relaxed that we enjoyed most of our evening meals at home, after exciting tours arranged by Diego. Diego is the concierge at Casa Las Nubes that has the magical touch to make your vacation hussle free; he is wonderful. My family still talks about this trip; we have traveled extensively and this is truy one of the most memorable vacations we have taken. Pura Vida!

Looking for luxury in a tropical setting? Casa de Frutas in Manuel Antonio is a rare combination of a beautiful tropical home with great amenities overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The dip pool is amazing we spent many an afternoon there enjoying the sounds of the jungle and of course sipping tropical drinks. The landscaping is meticulous but very natural. The fresh floral arrangements in the home are just beautiful. A walk to the beach for lunch is highly recommended. Dave and Mauricio are amazing hosts, always there for assistance for a dinner reservation, excursion or to answer a question.I won't give away any of the surprises they provided. They also arranged a gourmet dinner at the Casa to celebrate two birthdays. You really never needed to leave the house but there are so many great restaurants to experience you just had to go out. We will be returning just as soon as we can. The only real bummer was leaving.

Simply Fabulous!Guest comment entered by manager
Casa Las Nubes (CLN) is an exceptionally situated and immaculately appointed tropical vacation home. The bedrooms are quiet, spacious, extremely comfortable and elegant...all with fabulous private baths. The main living areas, surrounding the signature infinity pool, were designed for entertaining, and the ocean and mountains views are simply spectacular. The house faces west, and thus has magnificent sunsets with tropical birds and monkeys in the totally open maritime zone in the foreground. The home is located in Tulemar Gardens, and has access to a pristine private beach, where snorkel gear, kayaks etc. are provided at no charge. Snacks and beverages are also available, and private hiking trails run through the grounds. A wide range of restaurants are available close by. But in addition, you can also arrange for a local chef to come in and cook for you...this was truly a highlight! Manual Antonio National Park, located only a few miles from CLN, is one of Costa Rica's best known and most interesting parks. And...there are so many other activities in the area - from canopy tours to sailing, wildlife parks to spas. While Casa Las Nubes itself is simply spectacular, the personal service provided by the house manager Diego, took our stay to an exceptional level. He knows the area inside out and backwards, and will facilitate any arrangements you desire. He is smart, extremely personable and simply delightful to interact with. He makes coming to a place you don't know easy to navigate, and allows you to make the most of your time. I spent a week at Casa Las Nubes having a reunion with best friends, and would highly recommend the home for anyone wanting a spectacular getaway vacation in gorgeous setting.

Casa Las Nubes in Manuel Antonio is perfect! What a great way to relax and decompress, surrounded by nature. The private beach is fantastic – pristine! The excursions to the national park and the estuary nearby were a lot of fun, too. The kitchen is a dream, but there are some excellent restaurants nearby that we really enjoyed, too. Well designed and well maintained, Casa Las Nubes is obviously a treasure to its owners and guests.

Welcome to Fantasy Island!Guest comment entered by manager
Welcome to Fantasy Island!
This was our best vacation ever! We had a shuttle take us from San Jose to Tulemar Gardens, Manuel Antonio. We drove past the cocodrillos bridge and stopped for food and drink. When we arrived at the casa Diego the house manager greeted us much like Mr. Rourke from the TV show Fantasy Island. Diego can and will help obtain anything necessary to make your vacation memorable. Casa Las Nubes is breathtaking. We started with a 20 minute tour of the house, there is so much to see, both inside and out. The pictures on the website do not do it justice, it needs to be experienced in person! This place will make you feel like it is your home after a couple of days. Be prepared you will not want to leave! All of the staff were most helpful. The three houskeepers kept the house immaculate, the groundskepers too, and they are almost invisible, working around your schedule since it is your vacation. Diego made sure he checked on us every morning, he drove us to the Tulemar beach, very private, and very gorgeous. We spent most of our time here. The staff at the beach was just as accomodating. Food, drink, beach equipment to play in the water with all within arms reach or just ask, they are all happy to help. We ate at some of the area restaruants, like Agua Azul (awesome!) and Kapi Kapi, as well as had some regular American pizza. The highlight was when chef Christopher came and made dinner (grilled mahi mahi) at the house. We invited Diego and his wife to dine with us since they had been so instrumental in making our trip enjoyable. We also did some shopping at the open air market in Manuel Antonio, as well as at a shop/consignment store. We came back with many bargains and some nice local made jewelry as souveniers. There also was a very reasonable mercado that had most of the essential items for the house. We had the best time ever and cannot wait to go back. As we said in the guest book that we signed upon leaving, we will be back!

We saw no other home like Casa Las Nubes in Manuel Antonio or Tulemar gardens. Casa Las Nubes is a one of a kind majestic home. It is new, it is state-of-the-art, it is open, bright and beautiful. The indoor pool was a fantastic way to end the day and the service by the cleaners and by the manager, Diego, was superb. The local eateries were diverse and served a variety of great food. We felt both safe and pampered while surrounded by the beauty of Manuel Antonio and Quepos, and the luxury of Casa Las Nubes. What a great vacation. We will definitely return.
