Osprey Villa is the landmark centerpiece in a four home, 10 acre private waterfront family estate that is surrounded by 2000 acres of wildlife preserve, and the best recreational waterfront on the Riviera. Unbelievable. Located in the Pirates Cove area, on the north side of Wolf Bay, about 3 miles due north of Orange Beach.
It's QUIET here! Easy to get to, and away from the tourists! Those who are used to vacationing with the masses in the standard wicker-furnished beach shoebox, well, get ready..... Time to get out of the box and out of the traffic!

Outside:
Kayaks - a fleet of kayaks, no less; lots of bicycles; two private outside showers & pottys (one on each end of the property); a covered motorcoach port that will accommodate the largest RVs on the road (extra fee to use the port); a stone fire pit at the water's edge; 2 large picnic tables; a swim-out beach; boat dockage for up to a 50-foot yacht; covered parking for three vehicles; covered pool lanai; 3 wrought iron tables for outdoor dining; chase lounges; a large deck down close to the water; and two hammocks.
Cabana:
Screened-in and ready for cooking! The cabana features an antique table w/chairs, 2 ceiling fans, a full size gas range, full size refrigerator, antique refrigerator, stereo system with JBL speakers, commercial ice maker, huge stainless steel gas grill, big pots & pans, sink, and nice bar.
Inside:
EVERY room has a fantastic view! Every single room! Unique Italian porcelain floors throughout; gourmet kitchen featuring a gas range and butcher block counters; a bamboo floored loft overlooking the living areas; huge flat screen TV's (53" HD in the main hall, and a 50" ambilight in the master); pool table; and massive custom glass mosaic tiled showers.
Most don't want to leave Osprey Estate when they get here. BUT, if it's interaction with others that you desire, you are a short boat ride to The Wharf, where you'll find all kinds of restaurants, bars, shops, Rave theater, and a world class amphitheater featuring the top entertainment available. Also a short boat ride is the World famous LuLu's (famous because LuLu is Jimmy Buffet's sister and he sometimes shows up at the restaurant unannounced!). The beautiful Soldiers Creek Golf Club is only a five minute drive to the North. The infamous Pirates Cove is 4 miles away (best "dive" bar and hamburger joint on the Coast). Are you a shopper? The largest outlet mall in the South is only 10 miles back into civilization. (can't get there by boat though).
And yes, a nice, large, relatively new pontoon boat is on site and experienced boaters are welcome to use it! (you pay for the fuel you use and a damage deposit is required). The boat is great for sightseeing, sun tanning, exploring, fishing...! A daily guide is available for a small extra charge if you want help with the boat.
Something you won't find at most vacation rentals....Trees! Osprey Estate has thousands of trees and plants! Palms, live oaks, magnolias, river burch, cypress, red oaks, oleanders, bananas, loblolly pines, redbuds, azaleas, lemons, satsumas, peach.... goes on and on.
I know all of this "sounds" really great. But possibly the best feature Osprey Villa has to offer is the lack of noise. What you are likely to hear: Osprey, pelicans, ducks, geese, dolphins, speckle trout, the occasional fishing boat or dolphin tour boat, the occasional cigarette boat making a high speed run in the Intercoastal, the salt water pool dribbling over the infinity edge, the breeze blowing through the palms, or maybe some Buffet or Marley tunes coming from your Cabana.
What you are NOT likely to hear: Traffic, crowds, announcements, elevator dings, horns, sirens, complaints, or annoying people (unless you bring 'em....and PLEASE don't bring annoying people to our paradise!)....
Osprey Villa is very easy to get to. The Villa is located approximately 35 minutes from Pensacola Airport, and one hour from the Mobile Airport. Drive times are approximately four hours from Birmingham, five hours from Atlanta, nine hours from Dallas / Houston / Nashville. We also offer an airport car service if needed for a very reasonable fee.
Grocery service is available :-) For a small fee, you can have the pantry and refrigerator stocked before you arrive. Just send us your shopping list. Daily cleaning services are available. We can also assist with catering for your parties, and helicopter tours or hot air balloon rides over the beautiful American Riviera.

We stayed at Osprey Villa duirng Spring Break 2011 and had a truly wonderful time. It was very relaxing while giving the children plenty to do. We had two 13 year old boys and two eleven year old girls. They enjoyed the pool and the grounds, but mostly were entranced by the kayaks and the dolphins. As the dolphins swam into the cove twice each day, the kids would take the kayaks out onto the lake....the dolphins would swim alongside and under them. What a thrill. We were close enough to the busy attractions (30 minutes) to visit the beach, the souvenir shops and restaraunts. But were quite happy staying at the villa, cooking in the well equipped kitchen our outdoor cabana. I highly recommend a stay at the Osprey Villa

Our family (7 seniors) stayed at Osprey Villa this February and loved it. Despite below-normal temps, we enjoyed the outdoor facilities as well as the lovely interior of the place. Our host was always available to answer questions. The Villa wouldn't be very kid-friendly, as everything is open to explore, but there are other properties within the Osprey Estate that are quite suitable for families with young ones. We'd certainly go back.
