Location: Healdsburg, Russian River, Sonoma County, Wine Country, California, USA

Accommodations:  Home, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6)

Healdsburg Bliss House is a noted unofficial hillside landmark. This comfortable ranch style home is high up on a ridge above the stunningly gorgeous Dry Creek Wine Valley. Just 1.5 miles from downtown Healdsburg, the home is a blissfully peaceful escape surrounded by 80 acres of lush vineyards. The 100 ft deck and expansive windows provide endless opportunities to take in the literally 100 mile-180 degree views of vineyards, forests, mountains, big skies and florid sunsets.

Watch the hot air balloons rise to the south or the plumes of steam from The Geysers in the surrounding northeast mountains. Bring binoculars and check out the myriad of birds swooping by. Sunbathe or read on the deck, BBQ while sipping wine and taking in the views. An outdoor dining table for 6 is a commanding location from which to dine and leisurely watch the sunset. The master suite opens to the deck and the spacious kitchen/dining/family great room has views as does the generous living room with rock hearth.

This truly unique location is up a 1/4 mile shared gravel drive which is in good condition and suitable for all types of cars. The property is not fenced and adjoins neighboring vineyard property and as such is not suitable for small children.

The setting backs up against rural wilderness area and thus is plush with wildlife...wild turkeys, deer, raccoons, wild pigs, etc. are all a part of the close to town but country lifestyle. As tempting as it may be, we encourage our guests-for their own safety to observe and enjoy the wildlife from a distance.

Bring the camera and the binoculars and no matter what season-warm outerwear as evenings can be cool. If guests are planning to walk, bring sturdy shoes. Plan to walk to the bottom of the hill to the neighboring and quite lovely winery - Everett Ridge.

The Weather from April through August, most afternoons are pretty and bright with breezes. Mornings and nights are usually cool and sometimes the early morning fog comes in to kiss the grapes. Temperatures can range 30-40 degrees in a 24 hour period. September and October is almost always warm and there is less early morning mist or fog. However, there are exceptions...so don't forget the pullover or wrap. Even in winter, when we get the rains that make this such a lovely place...there are many many break through days with crisp sunshine. Rates Require county tourism tax of 10% and sales tax of 9%. $300 refundable security deposit required.

Holiday and events weekends are at $450/night with a 3 night minimum. This includes Thanksgiving / Christmas / New Year's / Valentine's-President's Day weekend/ Winter Wineland / Barrel Tasting.
